The ambiance and location is wonderful. The staff are so tentative and nothing is too much trouble. The afternoon tea was to die for and so indulgent, worth every penny. We shall definitely be back.

Good selection for afternoon tea served by a charming young lady. Nice area to sit in. Would go again. Situated out in the country near Aldbrough.

It's a lovely environment and friendly place to eat. Recommend a visit any time of the year. We booked just in case and was fairly busy

The food served was plentiful and appetising. The choice of food isn't very wide but what is served is tasty. My husband ate the steak pie which he said was marvellous. Its over 45 miles from our home but worth the trip, once in a while. There are often Groupons on offer at The Spotted Duck which really makes it good value for money.

We had an afternoon tea today at The Spotted Duck and it was amazing, the food was lovely, the tea room was lovely and clean and the staff where great too. Will definitely be back and will definitely recommend to family and friends 😀

the staff were lovely but the food could have been better. the sandwiches - the bread on some of the sandwiches was a bit dry. the crisps were in a tiny Little bucket to share between 2. the scones and cream was lovely and fresh. we just thought it not quite worth £34.99 which was a gift voucher for a special occasion from Argos.

Absolutely fantastic cafe, staff were tentative and pleasant and the afternoon tea was really yummy worth every penny. A well deserved treat for us all.

This was mine and my husbands first visit, beautiful little place and very welcoming. Service was very quick and girls there were really pleasant. We had the garlic mushrooms to start which tasted absolutely lovely, my husband had ribs and chicken for the main, his ribs were cooked perfectly but said the chicken was a little dry and I had the homemade lasagne which was burnt on top and also very dry so it was really bland. Despite this though we did still enjoy our visit and would come back again

lovely homemade cakes, savouries and sandwiches. More than we could manage so they were happy to package up cakes for us to take home. Lovely setting and had nice walk around the lakes afterwards

Once found the food was excellent and delicious sweets. Large portions perhaps too much. Very helpfull staff. A hidden treasure. We will definately return soon.

Fantastic afternoon tea !!they went out of their way to provide separate teas for a lactose intolerant and a cheese allergy friend. Thanks so much for such a wonderful experience.😁
