The Smoke Pit - Northampton

In this visit we introduced friends to the smoke pit, and we were not disappointed!! Another great night where the food service and general evening was excellent!! Thank you :)

Good service from beginning to end very busy yet still attentive to individual tables - food was great although it is expensive but worth it as very good quality!

Food is amazing never had a bad meal. Great atmosphere. Went with a group of 10 people and the service was fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

Great food and service! Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Plenty off food,you never leave hungry. Took my other half for the first time and he enjoyed and will be back again!!

I absolutely love Smoke Pit. Have been many a time and it is still my first choice for a meal out. The buffalo wings and blue cheese are amazing!!

It’s an often over-used cliche but with a vibrant atmosphere, delicious food, extensive drinks selection and staff who can advise you on both, a return visit is definitely on the cards.

Stunning food, really good selection of beers and ciders, but ultimately the food is absolutely top drawer and would highly recommend. You wont go home hungry!

Great food and large enough portions for the hungriest adult! Good choice. We had a table for eight and shared some platters. Will definitely return.

This was our second visit and on this occasion we booked well in advance to ensure we could get a table on our chosen evening. Table was ready for us on arrival and staff were exceptionally polite ,attentive when required and discreetly fell into the background at other times. Choice and quality of food was excellent and enjoyed by all. Great atmosphere with enough background chatter to allow you to converse without feeling overheard. Not many restaurants these days we would rush back to but this is one of them even though it requires an overnight stay for us as a 160 mile round trip. Looking forward to the next opportunity to visit.

Service was excellent! Food was excellent too, and until the aircon went on, it was nice and hot... not sure the aircon was necessary as it was -2 outside! Would have mentioned it, but we weren't there for much longer, and us Brits don't like to cause a fuss do we!! :-).

Very attentive staff and food was good. Large portions but a bit expensive for what it was. The chacuterie sharing starter was a bit of a disappointment but the nachos were good.

Food superb as always but the drinks selection was very poor due to them not receiving their craft beer delivery. That was a main reason to book the smoke pit was the craft beer selection so was very disappointed

Food was nice and quick service. No real engagement from the waiters and the music was very noisy. Otherwise I would have given full marks. Would still recommend it.

Good food as always. Service was quicker today than it sometimes has been on previous visits which was good. Always a nice place for a good value meal.

Ten of us visited last Saturday. table booked for 5pm as we were going to a show at the Derngate. We all had a delicious meal. from steak, ribs, pulled pork and soft shell crab. The meals are very generous in size and shared our sides, the mac'n cheese, fries etc. My favourite was the prawns - so plump and juicy. Fantastic atmosphere, great stuff - our third visit of many more!

Staff were good, quite a nice laid back environment. Food was great as always, the artwork on the wall is always worth checking out. Would highly recommend this place

We love the Smoke Pit - it's the best pulled pork in town, and the cocktails..............try the S.O.B. If you like rum, you'll love it!

Booked a table as a belated valentines meal, fantastic customer service all round and great order times. Atmosphere was fantastic and the background music was superb. The food was absolutely incredible and I will definitely be coming back.

Had to wait a little while for our table but chose our food while we waited so was quick to come once we were seated. Amazing food & very friendly service

Lovely food, family friendly and very good service. My kids loved drawing on the blackboard wall and there is a lot of child friendly options on the menu.

Great food - the portion sizes are huge !! Staff are friendly and efficient. All in all a very nice chilled out atmosphere - and some great artwork to look at whilst waiting for your food.

Delicious food; soft shell crab starter wins the best meal choice, veggie options are good too. Nice staff. Super quick drinks service. Go there now!!!

Fantastic food and great service, despite being extremely busy. The lamb ribs I had were great, as was the shared platter we had as a started. Will definitely be going back!

My husband and I visited last night. We had to wait 45 mins for our burgers. They both had a strange vinegar taste to them and were quite unpleasant. Also they were far more expensive than other restaurants, so I am afraid that was our first and last visit to this restaurant.
