Excellent food and service! Was unsure to whether it would be a good place to take my 18 month little girl but she gobbled the food down as well.

Staff we're very friendly, food was good, cocktails were amazing, just wish the staff would walk past more often so i could've ordered more cocktails ;)

Brilliant food once again, can not fault it at all, I ordered way to much than I could eat but I took some of it home. BONUS!!

Great food and place! The portions are quite big as well so couldn't finish the main. Would have loved some desert but couldn't possibly eat anything else

First time at the Smoke Pit and the food was amazing, service was great and our waitress was very helpful. You should expect to wait a while for your order during busy times but it's well worth the wait. It is also on the expensive side and you can get similar food elsewhere for a cheaper price however it will not match the quality of Smoke Pit, so worth spending that little extra. Would recommend to anyone who loves meat!

Amazing food, great atmosphere, delicious milkshakes! We had the meat platter to share and had to bring some home as the portions are so big. Will be back again soon I'm sure!

Amazing!! Food was excellent. Only criticism is staff need to pay more attention to orders as they got drinks order wrong. Also waited a while for the tables to be cleaned but was busy so didn't mind to much. Overall excellent and will be returning.

The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and they welcomed the children. Would absolutely recommend it. Will be back with the rest of the family soon.

Really good. Great staff. Good wheelchair access. Space between tables. It was good to be in a restaurant with natural light. We had the platter for two, with two vegetable sides & it beat us!!! The meat fell apart as soon as you touched it. The peanut butter milkshake was just incredible. Couldn't fault anything at all. The price of the food was justified by the quality. One option I think they should add to the 'minor sides' is the pickled vegetables that come with the platter. We didn't have a dessert but had coffee. The concept of the restaurant is very good & layout really thought about.

Great food and great beer selection from Beer Guerilla. I had the duck in thai red curry sauce which was really good. Just a shame I didn't have room for dessert

The food was amazing and the staff were extremely friendly and polite. We will definitely be going back and we would recommend it to anyone. Our 5 year old also loved his food from the children's menu.

It had its ups and downs. Some of the food and hot drinks came cold, long wait on service and food. Atmosphere and decoration fabulous.

Great food! We had the sharing smokepit platter with two sides, they gave you lots of meat and the ribs were lean and you got more meat than bone! Was very happy with the service and will definitely return!

We had never been to Northampton and this place was one of the first that came up on Quandoo so decided to give it a go. Really pleased we did, food was ace, really tasty and HUGE portions. We are usually pretty greedy yet we only managed to share 2 mains and a side (plus 2 of the greatest milkshakes we've ever had) before admitting defeat. Service was great, our waitress was a babe.... I did save the receipt to remember her name but have misplaced it, think it was Scarlett B. Thanks guys!

As always a fantastic evening with the family,we have been to the smoke pit a few times now and it is always good service and exceptional food.The food is very good value for money and the servers are always very pleasant and helpful.The smoke pit is the place to be for any serious meat eater.FATASTIC PLACE

Extremely slow service. One particular waitress was very rude and abrupt. Lack of communication between staff resulting in us waiting an hour for starters which meant we left before our main as the order hadn't even been sent to the kitchen and it was far too late to eat. Very disappointed.

As usual the food and service were excellent. It's encouraging to see The Smoke Pit so busy during the week. It's one of my favourite restaurants.

Great food and service. Had the rump heart steak which was superb. Absolutely loved the salted caramel cookie for dessert and would definitely go back just for that. The ribs look awesome as well so maybe next time... Really good atmosphere thoroughly enjoyed it.

Food was really tasty. Nice quirky place loads of different flavours of free refill drinks cherry vanilla coke was lovely would definitely recommend enjoyed our visit

Very friendly staff. Nachos for starter were amazing. Disappointed that the peanut butter stack had been removed from the menu. Couldn't finish my main as was very full x

I had a very good tasting burger, much better then a lot of burgers you can find in other places. Staff is very friendly. Good choice of beers. We were all very satisfied.

Food gorgeous as always. Staff and service excellent. Working our way slowly through the menu. Really want to try the desserts but usually too full after main course. Can't wait for next visit

I have been to the Smoke Pit on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed! Excellent food and the staff are fantastic and very attentive.

Even though a busy Saturday night, the service was fast, friendly and our order was bang on. The drinks were served quickly and we went for a main dish only, which followed in quick succession. The steak, the sauce and the sides (market greens were surprisingly tasty) were delicious. Absolutely delicious - the steak cooked to perfection. It is quite an expensive dining experience, but if the service and food are as good as this consistently, then it's worth the wallet hit.

Food was great Really cool place. Loads of choose on the menu and everything we tried was super tasty! Staff were all really friendly and attentive.

I appreciate it was busy, still when paying £30 for a meal I kind off expect it to be served warm. Lovely venue, deserves another visit to redeem itself 🤞 Was a shame good looked really good

Lovely lunch with friends. Menu looked good with a lot to choose from. We all had a cheeky cocktail which was very very nice but as it was lunchtime we only had one. We will definitely go again

Our second visit, still impressed. Staff very helpful with help choosing something different on menu from last visit, food excellent again! Tried a pudding this visit and this was delicious!!

Had very high hopes booking a meal here. As sounded just up our street. Very disappointed though. Booked fairly early around 6 on a Friday as took the kids. Was quite busy at that time already. Staff not very attentive. Took over a hour for the food to arrive. Kids weren't happy. Also had to keep trying to chase staff down to even get drinks. Food eventually came and disappointed. Quite cold and the sauce on the chicken wings was utterly disgusting. I've never tasted anything like it I thought the kids were just being kids when they complained about it but all four of us tried it and never again. It was extremely vinegary. Complained and got some without sauce which were nice. Just feel let down and disappointed. And considering this cost nearly £100 for a family of four with no starters or desserts and this low standard won't be going or recommending this place again. Oh plus the was no toilet roll in female toilets either. More style over substance!

Yet again another fantastic visit! Very accommodating to us when we added an extra diner last minute to our booking, even managing to seat us at a larger table to seat our guests easier on what seemed to be a busy night! Food excellent again staff friendly and helpful as usual. Love this place

Greeted well, made to feel welcome. All the staff are very nice and attentive. Food was excellent. Better than I expected. Drink dispenser wasn't working fully which was the only down side. But all round I had a great evening

Portions have been reduced slightly since we last visited. Maybe a little too much, as prices have slightly increased. Still great food though. Also people seated after us received their food before us. But overall waiting time for food wasn't too bad. Had to go to bar to pay as no one available to bring us our bill.

Amazing food, tasty juicy full of flavour and great service from front of house. Buffalo wings for starters, sauce was great slight warmth from the chili but correctly balanced as to not ruin your tastebuds. Main, the meat platter. All that needs to be said is if you love your meat this is the dish for you. Cooked to perfection and definitely well worth the money!!! Will definitely be going back.
