Very good quality meat. A bit expensive but it was in part our fault because we order the most expensive dishes. You can have lunch quite cheaper

Great food, however slightly slow service and it is quite expensive. Overall the quality of the food outweighs any criticisms so can't recommend high enough!

Food was tastey and plentiful. We loved the drinks machine and refills especially my son! On a personal note I would like to see a few more chicken dishes on the menu, however we will definitely be back!

Great food, far more than you can eat. Relaxed informal setting. A bit like being in a factory x building site whilst camping. Great stuff.

Lovely food as usual, can't beat the sweet potato fries! We will be returning again without a doubt, one of our favourite places to visit

Had a lunch date with my friend and we were looking forward to it as we had been on line and seen all the great food on offer. We were booked for 12:30pm, we were the first customers in👍🏽. The food was great!! I was worried being the first customers in we were going to be served yesterday's left overs but we were not. The food was fresh and very delicious. I could not finish my food, it was all packaged nicely for me to take home. Would recommend and will come again.

Delicious slow cooked food with excellent service and at a reasonable price. Book early to avoid disappointment and make sure you only eat light meals before going as the servings are very generous!

Lovely night. Great for my meat loving boys!!! Brilliant for kids early - they thought the drinks machine was fab. We shared two burger platters and a couple of extra sides between 2 adults and 2 kids - they were very accommodating

Meal with a friend at the smoke pit, both ordered Steak with was cooked as per request. Good tender cuts of meat with excellent service. Would recommend to others.

All about the meat. Not for vegetarians or anyone wanting veg with there meal. All very good meat dishes and lots to choose from. Recommend the steak which is only available cooked rare (forget the name of it). Service was okay, but we were forgotten about once the main course was served.

great food beef ribs yummy sweet potato fries are fab Nobbies light beer is tasty. last time had the smoked rib eye and coleslaw that was delicious

Fab food! service quick initially then it was hard to get attention towards them end when we wanted the bill and then pay, but all round a fab night.

We took our friends for a birthday celebration meal and they were amazed at the food, decor and atmosphere! A great time had by all!

Visiting the smoke pit was a great experience, the food was cooked well and tasted good, the cocktails were strong, we didn't get around to trying a dessert as we were so full.

Excellent five stars great food and great service great Atmosphere and even got a doggy bag to take home perfect would recomend to any one

Nice atmosphere and different but some of the portions were way too large... Good milkshakes though and everything was well cooked so no complaints at all

Amazing food. 9 of us on a table and not one complaint. Compliments were flying. We will definitely be back when we're next in U.K.

Nice venue, good choice menu and friendly staff, I would recommend this to anyone; only downside was the corn cob came with garlic butter, melted over rather than on the side - not great for those that don't like garlic.

Table for 2 people, only 6 customers total including us. Waiter took our order quite quickly, only 2 meals to order (pork belly ribs for £13 & a hanger steak for £18), no starter or dessert. Waiter didn't ask how the steak was to be cooked which I found pretty odd. Food took nearly 45 minutes to come out because the hanger steak was taking a long time to do. When it came out it was tiny and cooked medium rare and already cut into smaller pieces. The pork belly ribs were just gristle and fat, very little meat. For the price of each I would have expected a better quality or rib and a bigger cut of steak. Both me and my friend ordered the sweet potato fries which were soggy and had bits of normal potato fries mixed in. The coleslaw tasted like the mayonnaise had gone off. The tobacco onions were were virtually tasteless. I finished my tiny steak but my friend couldn't finish her pork belly as the fat and gristle put her off. I tried hers and it wasn't very nice. We informed the waiter and he knocked £4 off the bill, he also informed us that their batch of pork bellies were a bit fattier than usual which made me wonder why they were still serving them. We were also given a 10% discount card for the next visit but that will never be used as I will never go back. This is only the 2nd time I visited The Smoke Pit and both times have been bad. It's over priced, badly prepared, poorly presented food is not worth giving a third chance. The only reason I'm giving it a 2 instead of a 1 is that the steak was nice even though it was a minuscule portion.

Generous servings of nicely done meats served by pleasant helpful staff in a nice atmosphere. Place to go if you fancy something different for a celebration.

Great tasty food accompanied with awesome, friendly service with a smile. Fab playlist as well. This wasn't my first visit and it certainly won't be my last.

Staff was very cheerful and helpful and a the food was absolutely fantastic, the portions were plentiful the prices where reasonably, if I had to be critical, bit more lightning but overall it's a must.

I would have given a 6 had we not waited so long for our mains to arrive. Would definitely return though. Food was very nice and staff very friendly and helpful.

Amazing food and really nice place. We went there for my mums birthday, the nachos are really good, there were 4 of us sharing and it was enough as a starter

Amazing food, big portions but you can take home whatever you can't finish. Everyone also needs to try one of their huge milkshakes, definitely my favourite.

Food was fantastic and service was brilliant, best bbq I have had in England. Already looking to book are next visit for myself and my wife(very picky eater)

Really nice place I had the macaroni cheese to start it was massive portion and really cheesy would definitely recommend this place. If you like meat this is definitely the perfect place

the wings, burgers and pulled beef were out of this world, need to go back for the steak as the mrs said that was amazing, staff were awesome, the kids now want a coke machine just like theirs.

Slow lunchtime service. Wouldn't go there for an hour lunch break again. Took 45mims for a salad. However the salad was delicious. Would try on a day I'm not in a rush!

Fantastic food and great atmosphere. Really cool little spot whether you are on a date or out with mates. A bit pricey but if you have a starter a platter for one will feed two.

There is a great atmosphere and the food is absolutely fantastic, we didn't have to wait very long for our food and the staff are very friendly and efficient.

Having just returned from living in the U.S. we did have maybe too high expectations. The starters (wings & mushrooms) were delicious but our mains (burger & ribs) were a little disappointing. The burger was bland and the ribs were a bit lean and overcooked. I like my ribs falling off the bone and melt in the mouth, with plenty of meat! However, I would go back. Service was great and friendly.

Fantastic facility and the service was excellent. The serving staff are very friendly and patient. A couple of mistakes with my order but the staff were so helpful, I could easy overlook it....

Delicious, gravey covered meat! Cocktails were delicious and the portions were more than generous. Overall good atmosphere and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend to friends.

We arrived at 2.00pm for a late lunch. The place was empty. The service was slow and not for the first time. Starter of chicken wings was quickly served but barely warm. Main courses took an age to be delivered, why it should take that long to cook a few burgers, I really do not understand. This is not the first time we have had to wait ages for our food at this restaurant, at least the last time they had te excuse of being busy. This time, plea the of staff around but few were working. I doubt we will be returning.

Only issue I had was what I wanted to eat was all finished but they did give me an alternative. Lively atmosphere and friendly staff. Would definitely go back

Amazing food! The decor was great ad very different, bigger than i thought it would be also. I had the steak and was cooked perfect! Not quite a 6 as the service was a little slow, but the food made up for it.

There was a nice atmosphere, service was good and food really tasty! Portions are large too so eating a 3 course meal there would be quite a challenge!

Great food, both the steak and pork ribs were very tender and the burgers were great too. Tobacco onions are delicious and the fries are really crispy. The only downside is that it is quite expensive.

Great food and venue but service slightly let it down. Waitress wasn't very engaging or on hand, just did the very basics of taking our order & bringing the food. Didn't explain anything about the menu & spent most of the time eating and chatting in the kitchen. Quite a long wait between courses despite only two other tables occupied. Consequently we were left feeling a bit annoyed about our overall experience.
