The Sichuan is always my favorite place for lunch, however, today was a bit disappointing. The dishes were cold and too salty. I hope the kitchen and chefs will be able to keep the quality of food. Staffs were nice as always.
Dumpling was cold. We were rushed to complete the lunch within 40 mins as the reason was that the restaurant was fully booked. We found out later they gave seats to clients with no booking. Very confusing
The food is terrific and the service is very efficient and friendly.
First time to this restaurant- wasn’t sure what to expect from a Chinese restaurant in the city but it was perfect for what I wanted. The right balance between great food and good service. Like other have said, there is plenty of spicy choices!
The restaurant were very attentive to our needs and the service was very good. The food was served quickly and we were helped with our choices. It's not cheap but the food and service are good.
Food was tasty but a lot less spicy then expected. If you really like it spicy, let them know before you order. Overall, pretty good.
Been there twice before and enjoyed the food. Took a friend there this time and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Delicious and very satisfying! Amazing to have a restaurant that serves yummy Sichuan dishes in The City!
Boiled Beef in Sichuan oil, does not sound good but one of the best dishes on the menu... It is a huge portion to feed two people easily...
Unfortunately the heat of authenticate Sichuan food was missing and the numbing was toned done. These dishes themselves otherwise had good flavour, were well cooked and large in size compared to Hong Kong where I come from. When we asked about the lack of heat in Mandarin they apologised profusely and admitted that they assumed we were British and had served the local toast variation of the cuisine rather than the authentic taste. I can understand that many Brits would find Sichuan heat challenging but I think customers should be given the choice of the degree of authenticity that they can take.
My favorite lunch place, chongqing noodle is the best. Spicy wan ton also very nice. It’s busy at lunch hour so better to make reservation in advance.
Absolutely amazing food! Been here a couple of times and loved it both times.. Would definitely recommend the fish in chilli oil as something special to try out!!
The staff were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The atmosphere was great and the food was very delicious. I would come here again in future¬!
great veggie options, good service, food arrived quickly as we were in a rush
Food is very delicious, and the service is very efficient. We celebrate the birthday of my foreign boss, and the whole team is very enjoyable. Many thanks, and will come back again!
Food was delicious and tasted fresh. The restaurant could really do with a complete refurbishment. Staff not very attentive, stood around bar on phones not really paying attention to customers
Love this restaurant. Consistently great food and excellent service. The Sichuan pork green beans are amazing and so is the spicy Sichuan boiled beef! Try them
Overall a nice authentic restaurant that serves a wide range of Szechuanese dishes. I would recommend the cold chicken dish and stir fried potato strips.
So refreshing. Was planning to go to hakkasan or Y ming but decided to do something a bit different. Every dish was delicious and different to normal chinese. I have had sichuan before but the dishes on the menu were well guided between mild and nuclear so we found a good balance easily. Some old favourites on there (eg peking duck) also if you want some familiar fare. Service was very quick and friendly. Will be back!
Super busy on Friday evening. All our orders came correctly. Not all the dishes are spicey. Deserts did not sound nice but actually were. Very reasonable prices- ie under 30£ a head.
Good service and nice food. Really convenient as we were staying just round the corner. Service was very quick but we weren’t rushed to leave at the end. Would definitely go back. Thanks!
Taste is very nice! Not expensive Vest Chinese restaurant in London . It was third time to visit here. Every time I am really surprised by delicious food.
The food was excellent and the service fast and efficient. We were constantly asked if we wanted anything else and even the little things were not too much trouble. Good atmosphere too. We were a party of 3 and went during the lunchtime session.
We found one of the waiters rude and dismissive. Then the bill was wrong twice - the food was excellent but that soured the experience for us.
Nice authentic Chinese food. A bit off the track maybe but friendly staff.
Foods are delicious, not very spicy, like the fragrant chicken in a pile of chilli and the dry-fried green beans with mince pork. The only thing was the tea, not enough tea leaves in a tea pot for two people which made less taste.
Fantastic authentic food! Best in London and great service too! Great for a large group as portions are large so sharing advised. Go for the more unusual dishes - you won’t be disappointed!
Equally as good as back in China. Simply fantastic food coupled with great service. Would highly recommend The Sichuan to all and will be coming back soon.
Everything is delicious. I bring some foreigners to try this restaurant for the first time, and it is amazing that everyone likes the food so much, and they are all eager to come back in the near future! Many thanks for the good service.
Very good food, reasonable price would happily visit there again. Good selection and variety of dishes and no problems the day after as well!! Very enjoyable!
We really enjoyed the very delicious food, and the service is very efficient. We will absolutely come back again. Many thanks for this good choice.
Lovely restaurant. Fantastic food, wonderful friendly staff with a great atmosphere. Very attentive but not in your face at any time. Would eat there again the next time I visited London. Would recommend it if you want real hot gorgeous food
A regular lunch visitor. Great food and expedient. Perfect for lunch if you dont have much time. Will be back soon. Dim sung and special fried rice with prawn perfect.
Delicious food, huge portions and incredibly friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure my birthday meal with 12 friends was a relaxed and happy affair.
It serves delicious food that is full of flavour and spice with very friendly service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend eating here. Order the House speciallities and you’ll not be disappointed.
We had a very good evening on our first-ever visit to the Sichuan restaurant. The food was interesting and tasty, the service very good and the atmosphere was lively without being too hectic. We'd definitely go again.
Wasn't as spicy as I was hoping and a few dishes lacked depth like Mapu Tofu. Some other dishes were great though including the cumin beef.
Amazing food, get the grilled fish. The service was really friendly and funny. We really enjoyed ourselves and ate far too much. Will be back.
Excellent! The hot and sour soup was to die for. Many of the other dishes looked wonderful, too - and we will most certainly be back. I lived in China for almost ten years and this is amongst the very best restaurants of its kind outside China I have visited - and very reasonable with it.
it is an marvellous experience. I lead some foreigners to try, and they all like the spicy grilled fish so much. A nice choice, and come back again!
Excellent tasty authentic Sichuan food, the owner carefully explained everything and the service being very attentive. Speed of service was incredible fast. Be prepared to come in for a feast with a group of friends.
Great food and very helpful staff. Will recommend it my friends and go again. Well done! The restaurant is also located at a convenient location.
Very friendly, helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. Food was delicious and came very quickly. It was quiet in there on a Saturday at lunchtime - hope it does well during the week as it's a very good restaurant.
Great food as always. Good service as well. They changed their dishes to made them vegetarian. Meat dishes were classic sichuan. Good value as well
Delicious food at a very reasonable price for central London. Good service, let my friend and i sit at a table for 4 without complaint!
We love this place. It's right next to our office and it does a good job of presenting authentic cuisine at reasonable prices. Great and discerning wine list, also eminently affordable. Very popular, we're not alone in loving it, was already packed when 7 of us turned up for lunch at 12.30 today. If you're passing or keen to eat Sichuan cooking in an atmosphere of friendly excitement without paying the earth this is really worth checking out.
Good food which arrived quickly after ordering. Great staff. Was nice and busy on the Saturday night but not loud. Only downside - it was a little cold in the restaurant.
very good resto. finally a chinese that offers something different. tasty although sometimes too spicy for my tastes but that is just me. will be back.
This was third time we have been there.Food is always good. Service there is very caring and thoughtful. We had a lovely time there. We will go there again
Very efficient service. Great food. Very generous portions. Friendly atmosphere. Ate there twice in one week whilst in London on business. Good value for money. Would recommend.
Food was good in general. The only disappointment was fried rice. The quality of rice was not great... The table can be booked only for 1.5 hours.
