As great as always. Food is always very good, service friendly and prompt and everything is reasonably priced. Will keep coming back. Thank you Sichuan
Food was delicious and priced reasonably. Service was efficient. The only reason why I have not rated 6 is because the beef from the beef in chilli oil dish seemed a bit off. The texture doesn’t seem consistent with the same dish i’ve Had here before and other Sichuan restaurants. As a result my stomach feels a bit funny this morning..
An incredibly good restaurant. Food not the least bit greasy. Most dishes will leave your mouth tingling with a numbing feeling so be warned. Aubergine is cooked more ways than you could imagine. Service superb, even when restaurant is at capacity.
We really enjoyed the food which had that authentic mainland Chinese flavour. My wife who is from Xian always moans about the quality of Chinese food in England but she thoroughly enjoyed the dishes. The beef was particularly flavoursome.
Good food, terrible service - was really impressed with flavours, bit pricey though - and the 12% service charge was a joke due to the restaurant being empty with very inattentive service...
The service is nice, yet maybe due to the lunch limited time, the dishes took longer time than I expected to be on the table.
Convenient location, Tasty dishes and reasonably priced. The only proper Sichuan restaurant I know in the City area. Would reccomend to people loving spicy Sichuan dishes.
Very good food. Quick friendly and reliable service. And it’s relatively reasonably priced compared with similar restaurants in the area. Will go back and try different things of the menu.
Nice food Nice food Nice food Nice food Nice food Nice food Nice food Nice food Nice food Nice food Nice food Nice food Nice food
Delicious spicy food and friendly service. Go with a group so you can order a wide range of dishes. The refreshing fungi, smashed cucumber, and the tofu with minced pork were personal favourites.
Excellent food as always and lovely staff. Twice cooked pork! Spicy green beans! Some beef dish that I’ve forgotten the name of but was awesome! Eat here!
Food very good Good atmosphere - packed at lunch great service The Sichuan is as good as any fancy Chinese restaurant in the west end.
This is my FAVOURITE Sichuan restaurant ever! The food is so spicy and delicious. I have been to most of the Sichuan restaurants in London and this one is by far the best. Service is quick and variety of food is excellent. Their dumplings in chilli oil is a must. I've been here 7 times already and will be coming back again.
The restaurant is excellent, authentic and reasonably priced. The service was good. We will definitely return here to sample more of the menu. I recommend the fungus
We were not happy with one of the dishes ordered. We raised our concern with the waiter, but the manager came over and started an argument with us. He sounded quite insulting - saying that we picked up on their cooking for the sake of not wanting to pay for that particular dish. He also rushed us to pay the bill and leave the restaurant. This is simply not an attitude to run service-oriented business.
Superb authentic Chinese food and great service - really good fun sharing dishes with colleagues on our table of 10. A few dishes familiar to western tastes as well for the less adventurous. Spicy means spicy so be careful!
Excellent food & good service Great variety and menu choice One of the best Chinese restaurants iv been to in London & my wife who is Chinese agreed
Lovely tasty food - and lots of it - my guest and I both took home what we couldn't eat - excellent friendly and attentive service and a nice atmosphere. Food was a tiny bit oily - hence the 4 stars not 5.
I went as part of a group of 12 for a late lunch on Saturday. The restaurant was able to arrange one large round table in a private area at the back of the restaurant. This was a perfect arrangement and most suitable for conversation and the sharing of dishes. Service was friendly and efficient , and we all enjoyed the food. The wines were also good, and when the bill arrived, we all thought it was value for money.
Excellent birthday lunch. Fantastic food and service. Looked after us very well including a vegan and two children. It is the best Sichuan restaurant in London. I highly recommend it.
The Sichuan is a brilliant show case of one of China's most interesting cuisines in the heart of London. If you have never tried the deliciously numbing effect of Sichuan peppercorns before you really must! I took a colleague who claimed not to like Chinese food and she loved it, realising that what she didn't like was the English sweet sticky Chinese. Go go go!!
Charming reception despite our being very late. Food very tasty, especially Szechuan-accented dishes, and final bill very reasonable. Portions are large, so it is easy to over-order.
loved the steamed seabass and everything else that we ordered there. We ordered 5 individual soup, 5 dishes, and egg fried rice for each. The bill came to about 125.
The Sichuan has great food with good service. Really enjoy coming here. The spicy beef is amazing and so is the sweet chicken. Green beans with pork are the best
Excellent - authentic food. Been to many chinese restaurants and I think this much better than many in Chinatown. All at a reasonable price. They also Serve cobra on draught.
This restaurant has stepped up its game - the Szechuan fish is particularly delicious. The best Chinese in this neck of the woods without a doubt.
Not that familiar with with Sichuan cuisine but as a first experience this was amazing. The flavours were very clear and delicious compared to your average China Town destination. Some of the dishes tasted absolutely exceptional (whole sea bass, black fungus, aubergine). The restaurant has nice spacious tables in a good setting for large parties and service was also happy, smiley and fast. Thanks for a great evening!
Great service, nice atmosphere, solid food personally it would be perfect if it was a tad more spicy but was good enough. Decent portion & flavoursome dishes. Would definitely come back again.
Great place! I love my asian cuisine, and I was pleasantly surprised when I tried The Sichuan. I went back 3 more times that week! Service is great, setting is lovely and the food is amazing.
Mostly pretty good if you stick to Sichuan stuff. Xiao long bao were terrible but probably a stupid decision to order them in a Sichuan place.
Amazing food and lovely staff. Food was very delicious and portions was relatively big. I would recommend to get "Ma Chai" - yum yum yum
Best Chinese meal since I was last in Hong kong ! Very varied and interesting menu looking forward to going back soon and trying everything !
Great food. Service however was too slow. They brought the meet dishes but I had to get up and ask for the rice. Also mixed up two of our orders.
Amazing food and flavour! So good to find such an authentic place with a great atmosphere- even for a Tuesday! Great service, really friendly and good value. Loved it- definitely recommend
Great food, the choice of dishes is vast as it has something for everyone. The dishes I had were so delicious. Good service and it seemed a really popular place. I would definitely go back time and again.
Best Chinese food I've ever had in London! Very authentic and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place. Really friendly staff and great service as well.
Great, authentic Sichuan food that is properly spicy. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Great for a quick lunch or a long dinner. One of the best Sichuan restaurants in London.
Food praised by Jay Rayner and Giles Coren is better value than Chinatown, and it has better service too. An excellent local restaurant, and one I use with fair regularity. Favourite dishes include the sliced pigs ear, spicy dumplings and the white fish poached and served hot and numbing oil
The food is fantastic and the service very friendly. I've been a few times now and will keep coming, I would say this is one of my two favourite Sichuan restaurants in London.
We visited for a late family birthday celebration. 3 of the 4 guests have visited/lived in China and felt it was a very authentic Sichuan experience. Lovely hosts and atmosphere.
The food was great , authentic Sichuan food, friendly staff. We had a lovely afternoon celebrating my mum's 80th birthday. Will def go back again.
Perfect. Food was extremely tasty, very authentic Sichuan food. I would recommend fish fillets and root of lotus leaf in sichuan spices. Affordable. Lovely staff.
I was disappointed that the food did not really have any wow factor. It was either very plain or very salty. But the exception to this was the ribs which were outstanding.
Food was fantastic, staff are lovely. Highly recommend for those who enjoy authentic Chinese food. Green beans and aubergine dishe are both worth a try.
Friday lunchtime. Excellent food, excellent service - Lesley is brilliant - excellent value. will definitely recommend and definitely be back. Thanks and see you soon. Mike, London.
Excellent food and customer service as always... No doubt the best chinese food in London. Green beans, cumin beef, red chilli dumpling are a treat...
Great Authentic Sichuan Cuisine. Big portion with good price. Would recommend it to anyone that wants to try real Sichuan dishes. Would definitely visit again.
I went with my girlfriend for a dinner for two. It was our second time there. Food was good standard and waiters were friendly and attentive. The only less than ideal situation, was that they had to keep open the main entrance door to keep the steam out/keep the place cool, and we sat quite close to it, so it was quite draughty and food got cold quickly.
The best sichuan food I've ever eaten. Portions are generous and the chef's skills are exceptional. We particularly enjoyed the deep fried beef with cumin, the gong bao prawns (huge and succulent) with cashew nuts and celery, and dan dan noodles - accompanied by a Chilean merlot. Wonderful not to have to worry about MSG and to know that the flavours were all authentic.
Great food! All sorts of tastes to try out; not just spicy options. Restaurant was flexible with us pushing our reservation back. The place was busy when we got there and service was prompt throughout. Will be going back soon!
