The Ruddington Arms

I have been to the Ruddington Arms several times before and as always, it was lovely. I had the baked egg starter with mushrooms and truffle oil, which was really good and the oil was enough to taste but not too overpowering. I iked the spinach in the dish too. The main was the duck special which was really well seasoned with great gravy and granola which I didn't expect to care for but I actually liked the difference in texture. I had cinnamon donuts for desert which are always fabulous. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. On this occasion I brought friends visiting from London here and they were impressed too. I would always reccommend the restaurant, especially if you don't want to go into Nottingham.

Brilliant, staff friendly and very helpful, nice restaurant area, something for everyone on the menu, food well presented and high quality. Will definitely go again and would highly recommend.

There were three of us and we hadn't been for a while.It was absolutely excellent. I had the liver and kidneys - totally superb. We all enjoyed the food; service was excellent. Will go back again asap.

The mackerel dish was possibly the best I've ever had. Such friendly staff. Nice beer selection and congrats on being voted Best Pub in Nottingham.

Amazing food and lovely friendly staff, great place to eat!:) my favourite restaurant by far, you will not regret going here! The scallops are literally incredible and it's a very good priced menu

A wonderful evening at The Ruddington Arms tonight. The service was great . The presentation and food was fantastic. They even came with a complimentary glass of bubbly as we were celebrating my husband retirement.!!! Would highly recommend!

We have used the Ruddington Arms a number of times now and always find the staff to be very welcoming. Their menu is diverse and, whilst there are some regular treats, it is regularly varied. The service is wonderful. Thoroughly recommended whether you are in the area or make a special journey to partake!

The food was excellent but we were brought up our mains before our starters, the wrong wine and the service was quite slow but overall experience was good. Also we were supposed to have been given a 10% discount as we were staying at the Lodge in Ruddington but was not given this.

The servicewas good, the staff were very attentive. The food was spot on as usual, the wife and I were very happy with our choices. And the price waspretty competitive too.

A very pleasant atmosphere. The food is excellent as always. service is always very quick and staff are always very pleasant and helpful. Comfortable seating and the bars are very light and airy. Would definitely recommend.

Good food and prompt service even though very busy. Choice of two vegetarian mains was good for one of our party of five. Would revisit.

Absolutely fabulous as always! Ruddington Arms is an amazing place with food out of this world and brilliant friendly service! We would always recommend it highly. Yesterday I had booked to have the gorgeous Sunday lunch with my cousin & his partner who had travelled from Dublin. The RA did not disappoint! They were very impressed by the great experience. Love the food, choice and service. Excellent soufflé, and the salt cod and the wine choices are excellent too. Also the beers were enjoyed and one of us finished with a coffee martini.

As usual we had a lovely Sunday lunch with everyone enjoying their choice. Not all of us chose a Sunday roast and it's good to have delicious alternatives.

Food was delivered to our table very well presented and superbly cooked the service was spot on this is a hundred percent improvment over our previous visit

We had to wait an hour for our main course as they had forgotten our table!! Wasn't that good when it came and no apology!! we won't be returning.

Had a lovely evening at the Ruddington Arms with old work mates. Food and service were all excellent, prices are reasonable, I would certainly recommend it.

Great Friday night atmosphere. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. All of my party enjoyed their food - empty plates all round! I do enjoy the roasted salt cod.

Lovely food as always but really slow service tonight as really busy. We ordered bread as nibbles before starters but it never came so we asked for it to be removed from the bill and that was fine. Too many kids about making noise but they do bring in the money sonfair enough.

Visited on Friday 23rd June while staying at the Lodge. The food was great and the front of house staff were extremely accommodating. Excellent service!

Another fabulous evening out at RA. Food & service first class. New menu items added, can particularly recommend the lemon trifle!! Also, the onion rings were just sublime......

We experienced excellent food at very reasonable prices with friendly and efficient service in very pleasant and welcoming surroundings. We shall return at the next available opportunity.

Super service & super food table for 6 all the food was excellent no complaints. Sunday lunch is so amazing with all the fresh ingredients makes it such a treat. No frozen food from this venue. Overall superb will be back very soon.

Booked 3 weeks in advance. Were asked to sit in the pub section. No one asked us for a drink, menu etc. We had to get staff from the restaurant area and remind them that we were around the corner in the pub area. After 3 times calling the restaurant staff, we left which was a real shame.

The restaurant setting was perfect, the staff very attentive, very pleasant & very helpful with the menu. The food was quite different in its composition but in a very well thought out & a very well presented way, absolutely delicious. In summary... PERFECT. Brian Birks

Food is always excellent, beautiful interior and the way the food is presented is lovely. Great place for any occasion, and even when our daughter leaves Uni we will still travel to the RA

The food and service were absolutely excellent. The food was reasonably priced, staff knowledgeable and attentive. Only criticism, restaurant needs some soft furnishings to dampen the noise, it became very loud when full with people talking. Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends.

Been here twice now staff very helpful and friendly, food excellent would recommend for a meal .Everything is cooked lovely and presented well can't fault anything.

Bright, crisp interior and friendly staff to greet us. All the dishes beautifully presented and cooked. Our vegetarian had two starters and three of us shared the forerib of beef, some of which was wrapped in foil for us to take away. Some interesting wines on the list. A wonderful Sunday lunch!

Good menu and good quality. Unfortunately very slow service. Two courses took almost two hours and gave up waiting for someone to take our sweet order so left.

Great food as always ! But please bring the bake Alaska back ! Is the best dessert in Nottingham . Highly recommend the mussels !!

Busy evening but service was good and food lovely. Crab salad from specials board was great and definitely no complaints from anyone about the chocolate mousse.

I've eaten here several times and I think it's a great place. The food is really good and the staff are very friendly and welcoming, without seeming overly familiar.

This is a lovely restaurant. They have a fairly limited menu - which to me is a good thing because it everything they do is done well. It has a very friendly atmosphere. It can be a little noisy at busy times, but this is to be expected when the place is so popular.

Great place and food is always good. Bit of a limited menu on a Sunday...if you don't want a roast. Usual lunch menu is lovely.

Really beautiful locally sourced Produce, amazing mouth wateringly tasty food, a lovely wine selection and the whole is completed by great service a definite A+
