Our meals were absolutely delicious! I I took one of the specials and I loved it. Nice staff, nice place (my only reservation : no wines menu with mains!) Excellent price/quality ratio
Place was nice, with good beer. Food was good, but quite over-priced for what it was. Menu did not offer a great deal of choice.
Easy to book the table. Staff friendly and efficient, good product knowledge and accommodated fussy eaters graciously! Food was brilliant, as always. We were really happy with our meals and the value for money.
Our meal was excellent but there was a long wait before it arrived. I realise that it was Sunday lunchtime and the restaurant is at its busiest, but no doubt the kitchen takes this into account in its staffing arrangements. The waiters were very helpful and could not be criticised.
Very disappointed as table in doorway. If not booked for special occasion would have walked out. Ended up being put in bar although empty tables in restaurant still. Manager couldn't care less. If I owned the business I would be looking for new member as his customer service was poor. After main meal kept waiting. Had to ask for bill as could not wait any longer for service for desserts and drinks. Expensive bar meal. Will not be frequenting again.
A very friendly welcome after a longish drive in wintry weather. Decor clean and modern. (Loved the Belfast sink and quirky taps in the 'Boys Room'!) Good menu, with sufficient choices of meats and fish. Didn't have a starter, but desserts offered plenty of choice. Settled on a two flavoured sorbet. Not you average sorbet, I have to say!! Was it worth the journey? Absolutely! My main of Salt cod was to die for, and looking at the near empty plates of my fellow diners, we were all in agreement. Service was excellent, and although we had to wait a little longer than we would have expected, chef was kind enough to apologise. No great deal breaker this as we all concurred on an excellent meal, nicely served and at a price that wouldn't break the bank. We will certainly return to the Ruddington Arms in the future.
Good food served by pleasant staff in congenial surroundings. Sunday lunch is especially good. Reasonably priced as well. We would recommend the Ruddington Arms to anyone.
The food is exceptionally good, the staff are efficient and friendly, a good ambience and a place you would be proud to take anyone to.
Great restaurant and quality food. Well recommended definabley worth a trip here. The service was great and friendly too. Home made food at its best
Food was really lovely, we brought some friends for the Sunday roast. it wasn't clear from the reservation that we would be in bar rather than restaurant but otherwise no complaints.
We sat at a table near the Side door, and had to get up three times so that disabled people in wheelchairs could get by,this table should not be the Reason?
Enjoyable well cooked and presented food which was reasonably priced. The Ruddington Arms has a very pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. We will definitely eat there again.
Booked for 6 of us for an early tea at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon and on arrival we were the only ones in the restaurant. Whilst I assume she was trying to be friendly/funny the waitress who showed us to the table and took our orders did make some mildly sarcastic comments when we asked questions about the menu and food etc. We are an informal group and enjoy a casual atmosphere but felt this was too early into the staff/customer relationship and others could have found it a bit rude and off putting. It also took three attempts asking her and two other members of staff to get a a jug of tap water. The food on the a la carte menu however was lovely and I'd have no hesitation in going again as this was not my first visit and have not encountered any issues previously.
Really lovely food - everything cooked well & presented beautifully. The staff were cheerful, friendly & helpful. The atmosphere in the restaurant was really good. Throughly enjoyed our evening. Thank you Ruddington Arms
Overall a disappointing experience. Could not eat the beef as poor quality. Offered a replacement, but no reduction in price. Well below normal stanadrds expected.
A lovely warn welcome, good service and fantastic food. A busy restaurant with a great atmosphere. Will definitely visit again. All in all a fabulous Sunday lunch.
Fantastic meal accompanied by faultless service all evening. Food was delicious, well presented and above expectations. Decor and setting was equally as pleasing and the price for the meal was very reasonable. We will definitely be returning again.
Great food, drink and atmosphere. Service prompt. Good children's menu. Convivial atmosphere and great building. Would definitely recommend and will visit again in the near future.
Fantastic service throughout the meal and the food was lovely. Pint ordered was off, but changed without any question. Would highly recommend a visit, a lovely evening.
Lovely staff very attentive and food that was amazing. Definitely be back for another visit after almost stumbling on this little gem of a restaurant.
Excellent food and really great pub. The service is good, just a little slow once we'd received the mains or it would be a 6
Great birthday meal here. Brilliant service and very professional. Gorgeous food and drink, thank you
Excellent Sunday roast (rib of beef) and good reasonable wine. Perhaps a little skimpy on the vegetables and slightly under cooked but otherwise a great experience.
Best starter and main course I've had for a long time in this area. Had goats curd and asparagus and roasted bake with courgette tagliatelle. Excellent flavours.
Friendly service and excellent food - what more can you ask for! The only negative would be it is very loud so for some people this might be off putting
Excellent food and service. Very good value for money. Lovely ambience. Will definitely return. However car park needs some serous repair work, but doesn't detract from a wonderful Sunday lunch!
Just had another great meal at the Ruddington Arms. A couple of new things on the menu since my last visit. This time I had the hake from the specials board, and I really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend it.
Really friendly staff and excellent food! Mussel starter was fantastic! Been twice now and enjoyed it immensely both times. Good atmosphere, selection of ales and easy parking.
Kids really well catered for, their sausage and mash looked great. I had a warm bacon and black pudding salad; black pudding was homemade and was divine! Homemade doughnuts for pudding and we left a very happy family.
I've visited the Ruddington arms several times now and have always really enjoyed the meals. Even when it is busy the service is good - staff are always friendly and I've never felt I've had to wait very long for my meal.
Fantastic food - great menu options with a good "specials" board which is changed regularly. First class service - the staff are always extremely efficient and polite. Favourite place to eat in the area.
We enjoyed good food and good service. Very attentive staff, Altogether an enjoyable evening. A good place for a birthday celebration ( which tonight was ). Would definitely recommend it to friends.
Always have had great food at the rudd arms. One of the best places in Notts if not the best. Great service great atmosphere and great food.
Had a lovely Sunday lunch today. Not a huge choice, but it was beautifully cooked and well presented, but too much for us to be able to indulge in deserts.
Always a pleasure to eat at the Ruddington Arms but slightly disappointed to see that some favourite items no longer on the menu. Great service
Amazing food as always and good service. The only reason it is 5 rather than 6 is because it took a long time for someone to come back to our table to take our order and asking for a couple more minutes to decide.
Went here for the first time for brekkie and it was lovely, great service and very accommodating, thank you
