First time here and we’ll be back! Excellent food and service in a superb atmosphere with friendly and efficient staff.

macaroni cheese was a bit bland not very cheesy. used to get a pot of tea now 1 mug. My partner had steak ciabata. This was hot and the mushrooms were excellent. Friendly staff. Average meal for me. Partners meal up to the usual standard.

I live in Australia and I contacted The Royal Oak who were very helpful great customer service, table booked for my parents to have a meal and they loved it. Great customer service 😀

No more covid restrictions . Very busy and a good menu. Had haggis, neeps and tatties. Had a smaller portion as last time too much. This was done to my satisfaction. Lovely hot meal with peppercorn sauce. Yummy haggis a bit spicy lovely. My partner had scampi peas and potatoes.Served piping hot. Decent prices, friendly staff and atmosphere. Worth booking you will not be disappointed.

Very busy as was Easter Sunday. Good served quickly. Had burger with cheese. loads of chips. Burger slightly over cooked but tasty. Partner had scampi and chips which she enjoyed. All good and reasonanably priced.

All covid safe. I had haggis, neeps and tatties . served piping hot with s peppercorn sauce. A lovely meal only problem was too much. Had to leave most of the tatties. A portion half the size would have suited. My partner had prawn salad. Too much. The consistancty of the prawn cocktail, potato salade and coleslaw too much the same softness. Less of the sides and maybe a slice of garlic bread as an option. Otherwise a lovely meal. Had to go to bar to chase up tea. Which was promptly served. Nice staff that are friendly. Stills great meal and venue.

Great food and service every time I visit here. Good value for money too.

Place was lovely, we arrived nearly an hour early for drinks but they said we could eat so we agreed, however we felt very rushed all the way through the meal, food was brilliant, can't fault it, however staff need training - asking if we had finished when one of us was still eating was a big no no (at least twice) and clearly just wanting us to be as quick as possible so they could get home - didn't feel valued at all - I won't be back which is a shame as I eat out a lot with friends and the food was great but it is no good having a great chef and great food if your front of house staff are not welcoming and make you feel like you have to rush everything. We would have stayed for drinks but didn't like the atmosphere.

Booked for Sunday at 17.45 with loads of spaces available. Covid friendly environment with social distancing and hand sanitizer. Full menu for picking good. I had lasgne and garlic bread. partner had Scampi. Served quickly and piping hot. Good portions wlith staff very attentive. Value for money food and good place to eat in these covid times.

A bit cramped with my grandson being over 6ft had to sit at a table for 2 when we 3 adults, but 2 people opp sitting at a table for 4, food was great but a couple of pesky fly’s spoiled it,. Staff great x

Staff friendly and all covid safe on premises. Hand sanitizer and social distancing thenew order in restaurants. Served quickly and menu shortened due to amount of time you can spend in dining area.
