Both my starter and main course were overcooked with hard breadcrumbs on the outside making the meal difficult and dry to eat. Not as good as it used to be.

Had a great time with family. Good food and drinks.

Portion sizes were a bit small but the food was nice. Bit over expensive though.

Very busy had to go upstairs. I had the lasagne and partner had the chicken In pepper sauce. Bothe meals were delicious and piping hot. Only problem was the service was slow and had to ask twice for missing items that should have been served with dinner. The staff were friendly, on this occasion place was too busy.

I had the macorini cheese and garlic bread. My partner had a ham salade. Both meals were served quickly. Staff are friendly and courteous. Soft drinks, hot drinks and alcohol beverages decent for hotel/restaurant.. No free refills. My food was piping hot and ham salad came with chips. No complaints on meals hot and good portions. Recommended for price of meals, atmosphere, food and friendly staff.

staff friendly and attentive. I ordered the Lasgne with chips. piping hot and a good portion. Had a pot of tea. Last visit only got a mug of tea. this was rectified as waitress last time forgot the teapot. My partner had the steak pie very hearty with tasty chunks of meat and gravy. Serv d hot and good portion and price. Business as usual back to the high standards for service and price.

We hadn't been for a long time. Just found out recently it had reopened. It was good. Service and food were very good. After an excellent main course, we didn't have room for pudding.

macaroni cheese was a bit bland not very cheesy. used to get a pot of tea now 1 mug. My partner had steak ciabata. This was hot and the mushrooms were excellent. Friendly staff. Average meal for me. Partners meal up to the usual standard.

I live in Australia and I contacted The Royal Oak who were very helpful great customer service, table booked for my parents to have a meal and they loved it. Great customer service 😀

No more covid restrictions . Very busy and a good menu. Had haggis, neeps and tatties. Had a smaller portion as last time too much. This was done to my satisfaction. Lovely hot meal with peppercorn sauce. Yummy haggis a bit spicy lovely. My partner had scampi peas and potatoes.Served piping hot. Decent prices, friendly staff and atmosphere. Worth booking you will not be disappointed.

Very busy as was Easter Sunday. Good served quickly. Had burger with cheese. loads of chips. Burger slightly over cooked but tasty. Partner had scampi and chips which she enjoyed. All good and reasonanably priced.

All covid safe. I had haggis, neeps and tatties . served piping hot with s peppercorn sauce. A lovely meal only problem was too much. Had to leave most of the tatties. A portion half the size would have suited. My partner had prawn salad. Too much. The consistancty of the prawn cocktail, potato salade and coleslaw too much the same softness. Less of the sides and maybe a slice of garlic bread as an option. Otherwise a lovely meal. Had to go to bar to chase up tea. Which was promptly served. Nice staff that are friendly. Stills great meal and venue.
