Booked a table on line, on arrival the staff were very welcoming and organised. Excellent service and the Steak and Ale pie was first class.

Lovely roast beef all enjoyed it. Dessert sticky toffee pudding disappointing was more treacle than toffee and appeared to be overlooked in microwave. Ice cream fine !

Fantastic food and excellent service. Our starters (king prawns) and main courses (lamb shoulder and plaice -today’s special) were exceptionally good, great flavours and generous portions. Family run and very friendly. Highly recommend.

Dinner at the Royal Oak was fantastic as usual. It's so good to be able to have a roast and slow be able you choose from the everyday day menu. My husband had his favourite dish of ham, eggs and chips. He has it every time as 'It's the best!' See you again very soon.

The staff were very welcoming; the food was plentiful and well prepared and presented, and the costs were reasonable. Only slight weakness were the teas and coffees, but overall a 6 out of 6 experience.

Extremely good food, reasonably priced with friendly service in a "proper" pub. Their pies are very good and worth the wait to have them cooked from scratch. No background "muzak" is a big plus.

Great little pub, and extra points for friendliness towards dogs. Pies were really good and well worth the 20min wait. A good no fuss experience.
