Stumbled upon this pub a year or so ago, found our way back. Lovely place, food is excellent!
Great food and service , definitely recommend it to friends
Great food and good service and excellent venue well worth a visit
Great food as always, the lady who waited on us was perfect. Salmon and Steak hughly recomend. Thanks Sara Warren
Very late Sunday lunch- excellent service, good value wine and decent food. We will return.
Excellent restaurant. We will certainly visit again. Food was delicious.
Was recommended the Rise&Crown by the friends who accompanied me tonight. All good
Good food and we had a great evening with friends.
Really lovely lunch great food welcoming landlord fully recommend X
Met by a very helpful lady who confirmed our booking and drinks order. Chap with a beard took the order but food was slow to arrive. We asked him for more drinks but they never arrived but I noticed he got himself a drink and went and sat with people at another table. Asked lady for drink and they arrived quickly. Overall good but chap with beard could do with leaving the attitude behind. Apart from that good.
Great food a great atmosphere and a really warm welcome with great service throughout. Such a nice relaxed experience for Sunday evening dinner!!
A lovely place, lovely food and staff very good. Thank you.
Nice sunny garden for lunch - service was good and food good value.
Lovely evening lovely meal and great friendly service, will definitely come back soon
Excellent value. Roast beef was mouthwatering!Good service & pleasant atmosphere.
Great food and lovely surroundings. Service was good considering it was mother’s day.
Good food and nice atmosphere for my Mum’s birthday. Would go again.
Gorgeous food, love the athnosphere and the service is really good as well.
The food was very good but the service was very poor. Not enough staff and the ones they had seemed very new.
Apart from long wait for our food, we all enjoyed our lunch.
The manager has to be the most miserable person on the planet a complete arse
Great service and great food with friendly staff, 1st class
Perfect pub, best service and delicious food. Thank you very much!
The vegetarian choice is limited, which is a shame as the meal was good for everyone else. The feta parcel needed more on the plate, the parcel and small side is insufficient in my opinion. The burger was delicious.
really nice warm welcome - very attentive throughout our visit
We have been to this pub before and thought it was worth another visit. We were not disappointed, good food, good wine and a nice atmosphere. I was meeting a friend who I hadn't seen for a while and we wanted to talk and catch up. This pub is not noisy and you can hear yourself speak, not easy to find these days!
This was our first visit to the R&C. Overall good, but very slow service and they forgot our drinks order. Food was delicious, though, so we’d go back.
Beautiful furnishings, lovely waitresses. Food wasn't very hot but tasty. Parking very limited so could be a problem when restaurant is full. Overall nice restaurant.
Service was friendly and attentive in a great way. The food was delicious, baked Camembert was the best we’ve had in a long time, fish and chips was cooked perfectly and not greasy, desserts were lovely but beat us!!
Lovely reception from the bar staff, we ordered our drinks and sat next to the fire being going into the restaurant for dinner. We were on our way to a gig so when we saw two large tables (one of 8 and one of 6) ordering we were worried that we would be later. Totally unnecessarily however, we were served between the two and the mean (two classic burgers) was delicious. We will definitely return again, and make sure we have more time.
Went for a lovely long dog walk, then went to the Rose & Crown for a fabulous roast dinner, pork was tender and crackling amazing, roast beef was melt in the mouth! Potatoes perfect and lovely veg. Pudding was pretty good too.
Lovely lunch. Great food especially Sunday Roasts. Friendly service. Service just a tiny bit slow though. They could’ve have done with one more pair of hands through a busy Sunday lunch. Would definitely go back though.
