Excellent food, service and ambiance. Staff all very professional, efficient and engaged. We altered our dining time by half an hour and, despite it being a Sunday and clearly very busy the change was made without any fuss. We will be back.

Fantastic place, excellent food, great service, staff are very courteous and attentive without being over the top. Can’t wait to book in again for Sunday lunch, have no problem recommending it to other friends and family.

Fabulous birthday lunch for 13. Staff were fantastic and food lovely. Was unsure how it would go as huge cross section of ages and tastes. I need not have worried at all. Everyone loved it especially my mother who’s birthday it was. Thank you so much. Xx

Went for Sunday lunch with my daughter who is vegan and asked if it would be possible to make a vegan Sunday roast. They said no problem it came out and was delicious. A big thank you to the chef and the lovely friendly staff. Always a pleasure to dine here.

A very pleasant evening. We enjoyed good food and good service at quite a reasonable price. The decor and atmosphere provide a good compromise between pub and restaurant. We will certainly go again.

Very attentive service, good food, prompt clean efficient - a bit noisy but we were in the main pub - would prefer to be in the back restaurant next time but overall very nice really enjoyed. Food good too!!!!!

Fresh, hot, honest, and well presented food. Staff polite and courteous as always. Short wait times for food. What's not to like? I'm not that local to the area, but its a handy 15 minute drive to have quality food like this.

Great meal and drinks with friends. Excellent selection of drinks to choose from. Food was excellent too. We are able to mix selections from set menu and main menu

Friendly service albeit a little slow last night - it didn't matter as we were on a reunion catching up so had plenty to talk about - in fact they had to come and tell us when it was last orders!! Food excellent and beautifully presented. Would certainly recommend.

Really great Sunday lunch and excellent value for money. Both the roast beef and halibut risotto were amazing. Definitely going back for more food whether that’s for Sunday lunch or in the week.

Food was excellent. The welcome and greeting less so. Ignored for some time before being seated. Need to work on this. Our friends were quite impressed especially with the fries.

Fantastic food with friendly service and great atmosphere. Light and airy dining area, with enough room between tables. Menu was interesting and varied, we would highly recommend.

Great food as usual, but service not up to par today. We waited an hour for water and unfortunately we were seated very close to the main door which had a broken hinge, therefore the door didn’t close properly and we were subjected to a cold draught.

Our first visit since it has changed ownership very tasteful interior with a good atmosphere and our meals were lovely with very good service we will be returning

The food was okay but we didn’t like the roast potatoes, however our service was dreadfully slow, I think we were forgotten about. The cherry on top was the privilege cost us £80 as it was the set mother’s day menu.

The Sunday Lunch in here is amazing, never leave here feeling hungry, service is always good too. A very busy place whenever I've been in so this can only be a good sign that they are consistently good

Great staff efficient and very welcoming.Food was superb with a good choice.The only slight gripe was that by 10pm the room was getting chilly and could have done with the radiators staying on.

One of our favourite restaurants. Whilst the menu is small, the choices are always good and there's always something for everyone. Using locally sourced ingredients, and great chefs, the food is amazing for a pub. Always a good choice of beers as well and great service too. Highly recommended.

The food was excellent, we both had whitebait starters, I had the haddock risotto and hubby had the cod loin. Couldn’t fault either. It was also nice to be able to eat off different menus. Service was polite professional and attentive when needed. We ate on the Saturday lunchtime and it was nice and busy with a pleasantl atmosphere.

Wonderful food in great surroundings. Service is impeccable. Menu changes monthly and contains good selection catering for all tastes. We will certainly return as it's now a firm favourite.

Our 4th visit excellent service quality fod fabulously cooked in nice surrounding. Has lunchtime set menu that's changes with season and a superb kids menu that is not all burger n chips

One of the best meals we've had in ages, very tasty! Our only criticism on this particular evening was that it was quite loud, but I think that was down to it being half term.

Our first visit with friends, we had heard encouraging comments from other people and decided to pay a visit. I booked a table via the web. From the first welcome on arrival to paying for our meals, we were treated with courtesy, friendship and hospitality. The a la carte and fixed price menus gave a tempting variety of choice, all at very acceptable prices and the meals were cooked and presented extremely well. That was our first visit but it won't be our last!

This was our First visit will definitely be back, excellent Sunday Roast with excellent service, would recommend to anyone looking for a good Sunday dinner

The food and service were amazing as usual. My mum is gluten free and she was perfectly catered for too. Won’t be long before we are back again.

Tasty food at a reasonable price with a more interesting selection than at other pubs. The staff are very pleasant and can answer questions about the menu easily. The beer is good but the coffee is a bit strong!

What a lovely place. We were celebrating a few things and I dont drink, so they managed to make up a special non-alcoholic drink for me so I could celebrate along. Outstanding food and wonderful attentive service.

The table was available at the planned time. The menu was interesting and varied, with a selection of traditional Sunday roasts along with some more unusual dishes. The food was well presented and the waiting staff were attentive and friendly, without being intrusive.
