We all had the same - duck. As usual, super service, great food. We're never kept waiting and never feel rushed, either. Thank you all.

Excellent service and enjoyable lunch, one of our three main courses (chicken leg) did not have much meat on it for the diner who ordered it.

This is such a fantastic pub. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is great and the service is fantastic!! We had a lovely time as always!

Service and staff excellent. Presentation impressive but unfortunately all 4 of us were disappointed with the main courses which were either tasteless or too dry although in fairness extra sauce was provided. Deserts were very good. Rather disappointing as we'd had such a positive experience previously

3 of us had lunch and all enjoyed it very much. The only negative comment I can think of was that the cauliflower soup was a bit on the tepid side and we had no butter with the bread - I expect we should have asked for some. We will keep returning.

We started with bread and dips. The bread was soft and lovely. I had duck to follow which was very good. The accompanying rosti potatoes were wonderful although the leeks were slightly tough. Afterwards I had a pineapple tarte which was absolutely marvellous. The service and atmosphere was very good. I eat out principally to eat fish and the reason I didn’t rate the restaurant with a six was because of the restricted fish choice. Only salmon was available and I like to have something less ordinary.

Another lovely meal at The Railway, menu is varied and should suit all tastes, the Early Bird type menu is good value and a choice of 4 main courses. Waiting staff are good and you never feel overlooked.

Very good food, drink and incredible service. Some dishes I personally thought a little overpriced,but overall all a very pleasant experience. Would certainly recommend anyone to visit.

Wonderful atmosphere for Sunday lunch. Perfect roast dinner and a lovely dessert. All served attentively with a smile. If you’re looking for a great Sunday lunch, this is one of the nicest paces to eat in Nottingham. They do a good burger as well!

Food was great but the service let it down and I think it’s a bit expensive for Sunday lunch need more staff to make it better

Overpriced for a pub. Food was okay but not amazing. £8.50 for posh cheese on toast! Was tiny and hardly any cheese! no areas for a quieter meal as tables too close together. Felt like we couldn’t have a conversation without getting either table next to us involved.

Food was lovely and the staff extremely attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. there is a strong wine list and they also have a gin cocktail list.

Excellent food and service. Main course was one of the best I've ever had! We were a party of six and everyone thoroughly enjoyed what they chose.

The ambience is pleasant, although we would have preferred a circular table as 6 of us felt slightly cramped where we were seated. The service was spot on and the food excellent.

The food was very good, a cut above the average Sunday lunchtime fare, but the service could have been a little quicker especially as they did not seem too busy..

This restaurant has undergone a complete refit and looks good, feels good and yet retains its original concept of a railway pub with loads of memorabilia. The food is always excellent and viewable kitchen spotless.

Good friendly service. A bit of a wait for our table but then it is xmas. Food excellent, everything cooked perfectly, first time and won’t be our last. Thank you.

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Railway . The staff were very courteous and efficient great selection of real ales and lovely ambience. We will definitely return!

The food was excellent as was the service. The reason I have given it a 4 star is the restaurant was cold when we initially sat down and also towards the end of the evening. In between the other customers kept it warm! Another customer also commented on the room temperature who had eaten early doors. Unfortunately these things matter no matter how good your food and service may be.

Beautiful food, really special. Staff are friendly and service is good. Been for Sunday lunch normal lunch and dinner all are good. Kids menu is freshly cooked presented beautifully and the kids liked it.

10 of us enjoyed a Christmas Lunch Party Menu last week. From the moment we arrived service was excellent and cheerful. The food was very good, good choices well cooked and beautifully presented. a really enjoyable start to the season.

Booked a table for 4pm for Sunday lunch. We arrived on time, but had to 30mins for our table. Then quiet a wait to order pur meal, which took 20mins to arrive. The belly pork was cook beautifully, but only just hot and the roast potatoes and veg were barely warm. We did not complain at the time as we had a guest with us and didn't want to embrace him. We will try again and hopefully have a better experience.

Good food, good service, altogether a very good meal in very pleasant surroundings.what else is there to say. Keep up the good work. Will defenately be back

We were told to wait to meet the host, approx. 15mins later we had to ask a member of staff to be seated. Our table and the interior design of the restaurant area was lovely, very pleasant. We were left without menu's for another 15mins before we again had to ask for menu's. The mains were lovely in particular the steak was a big hit with my friend. The cheese board was by no means worth £8.95, 4 small cheese pieces no bigger than a laughing cow. The service very disappointing, the staff were helpful and friendly once you got their attention, just took along time to be acknowledged. Kindest Regards Sarah

Unfortunately, we hit the Christmas Lights 'turn-on' night, so it was very noisy. We all got rather cold, due to an icy blast from somewhere, probably doors being opened and shut, which was unfortunate. However, the service and food were EXCELLENT. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Next time we will book by telephone, to check we don't clash with any other major events. On the whole, a lovely evening, thank you.

Came for lunch and the four of us really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. The service was excellent and the set menu was imaginative. Will certainly return.

Food, service and staff excellent. Shame about the screaming child which drowned out some of our conversation! Would like the bread used for the sandwiches to be much thinner. Otherwise all very good.
