Lovely food, everything was cooked perfectly. Great service. Staff nice and friendly, very welcoming. Lovely evening. Fab venue, compared to how it used to look.

Valentines evening set menu. Excellent food with good service but very overpriced. Live vocals started after we had finished our main course so don’t feel that we received value for money. May try again on a regular evening.

We choose to eat here after seeing they had won Best New GastroPub. Despite being a quiet Wednesday, it was busy enough, with a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was fantastic - we will return.

Always had a great dining experience, from the welcome to the food. It does not matter what time you eat it is always a high standard. Excellent selection of beers and wines. Highly recommend

I have visited this Resturant a few times lately, the service is excellent and the food is always beautiful presented and excellent taste, the staff are very attentive,,,, ideal for a business lunch

Excellent - as usual! The Railway is always near the top of our list when we're wondering where to go. The balance of quality, atmosphere and price is hard to beat.

The food was great (Sunday lunch), and the place had a lovely decor. The staff were polite and very accommodating. We will certainly visit again.

We enjoyed an excellent meal with good service, glad we sat in the back room and ate early as it was quite noisy in the bar but this didn't detract from a good experience here.

A good experience. Table ready when we arrived and a good friendly welcome. The food was excellent and both the food and wine were reasonably priced. The service was good and the whole meal was thoroughly enjoyable.

Nicely decorated, cosy restaurant. Attentive staff and really delicious home cooked, well presented food. Great Vegetarian options too. Good drinks menu with plenty of options, nice clean sparkly wine glasses! Lots of attention to detail.

The food and service was brilliant! Only negative is I had the lamb and the vegetables were diced really tiny and considering the dish doesn't come with potatoes it wasn't that filling

Lovely atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff and delicious and unusual food. The only reason I haven't given top marks is being a bit picky! The desserts were lovely but dry - we could have done with more sauce on both the crumble and the parsnip and pistachio cake. The ice cream was wondrous!

We really enjoyed our visit, although some of the items on the menu were not available which was disappointing and we had to change our choices.

Great restaurant with great menu choices superbly cooked, presented and served. Despite the place being packed last night there was no delay, the staff were attentive and friendly. Great experience. That was our second visit. We will be back.

We visited the railway for Sunday lunch to celebrate my birthday, the meal was excellent as was the service & both David & the staff went out their way to make it a real celebration for me!!

All the staff were friendly, professional and welcoming, making eye contact with each of us when we spoke, and nothing seemed too much trouble despite the restaurant being very busy. The food was excellent and there was a decent interval between courses which was very much appreciated. Overall, we were so pleased that I have booked again for the four of us for a Sunday lunch in early February to which we are all looking forward.

There was plenty of choice on the menu. The staff were very helpful, and able to answer any queries we had they made us very welcome. Two of us had the pork cutlet from the specials, it was very tasty. One of our party is gluten free & this was not a problem. We had a bottle of Chenin Blanc which was also very good. We will definitely be going back. Thank you.

Good food, nice twists, nice to see into the kitchen and chefs actually cooking rather than just heating up things. Staff attentive. Overall bery good.

Very nice steak at the Railway, good food and service, negative points are noisy and a bit cramped. As its really a pub you don't get a fine dining experience but the prices are a bit on the high side. Would I rush back? No.

Excellent service food and atmosphere. Will be back in the not too distant future. My friend ‘s first visit so was very impressed with everything .

All the staff were polite, happy and helpful. The decor was trendy with an old camera on a hook next to framed prints with black and white photos tucked behind. There was a lovely fire burning in the grate and the food was beautiful and delicious. ( Take your thermals if you need the loo though - they were freezing!)

A really nice evening, in a great atmosphere. The food was outstanding. It was extremely busy, but this made no difference. The staff were extremely attentive to our needs.

Enjoyed a delightful lunch at the Railway today food was delicious and our waiter Kendon was superb very helpful friendly and he made us feel very welcome we look forward to visiting again very soon.

The food was excellent - roast dinners with moist turkey / expertly cooked beef (just as pink as my daughter likes it) and wide selection of perfectly cooked veg. The service was very friendly too.
