Thoroughly enjoyed an evening at The Patricia, it is a lovely restaurant with fantastic atmosphere and the food was amazing. Great value for money and friendly staff.
Fantastic. A lovely evening, with great food and lovely staff. Everyone in our party loved there meal choices and we are all looking forward to our next visit
First time at this lovely little bistro. Slightly unprepossessing exterior gives way to a pleasant simple interior. Friendly, efficient but unobtrusive service. Food excellent and prix fixe menu very good value for money - hope to be back soon.
Fantastic food, amazing service, great setting. This is a restaurant for special occasions - whether that's celebrating with friends or family or just treating the one you love. The Sunday lunch is easily the best I've had and the evening menu is something I can't wait to try.
The Patricia is an excellent restaurant and bistro. The service was good and the atmosphere is brilliant. It's a small venue but has a cool feel about it. The food was really the high point of our experience. Remarkable dishes with interesting and flavourful ingredients prepared masterfully. The confit of lamb shoulder was incredible, especially because of the salsa verde it came with. The gnocchi appetiser was divine in the parmesan sauce. I'll also note that the wine selection is excellent and paired nicely with our food. This restaurant has just become one of my top three favourite restaurants in Newcastle.
Food was excellent. Service also very good. Tables a little close together would be only criticism. Will probably return. Would recommend to couples and small groups.
Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, great service. I would highly recommend The Patricia. If you like good food then you must try it, you won’t be disappointed.
I can't fault the Patricia. A friendly welcome with excellent service, great food cooked up fresh and we'll chosen wines. Recommend to anyone looking for a fine dining experience. They also mix a nice classic cocktail.
The Patricia was fantastic - the atmosphere is really welcoming and relaxed and the staff were really friendly. The food was delicious and we were given excellent wine pairing suggestions. We will definitely be back.
Nice restaurant, great wine selection and food is ok. Have had better dining experiences. Staff didn’t do anything for the occasion we went for, other similar style restaurants provide a little token.
Great food as usual! We love to eat here and will be back soon!
Great choices covering carni, vege and pescatarians, wonderful food, deserts gorgeous (would recommend the choc mousse with salted caramel and hazelnuts) good wine list, warm friendly service, excellent value, we'll be back!
Really the very best Sunday Lunch I think I’ve ever had in a restaurant. And there was plenty of it! Loved the ambience as well.
Brilliant place for a Sunday Lunch which tastes as good as homemade! The experience was perfect, with a comfortable and intimate atmosphere with great service.
My third time at The Patricia and it was excellent again. Such high quality food and lovely service. Fixed price menu this week was astounding value. Looking forward to next time already!
Such a good restaurant, great atmosphere and exceptional food and service.
Excellent Sunday lunch. Meet was cooked beautifully and all of the accompanying vegetables and Yorkshire puddings were superb too. Nice to see a menu at this time of year without things like turkey and christmas pudding
We had another delicious, imaginative, lovely meal. The service was perfect. If it were financially, morally and sociably acceptable I would eat there every day.
Excellent modern bistro atmosphere. Interesting menu with a choice of mainstream dishes and some unusual alternatives and likewise with the comprehensive and reasonably priced wine list. Knowledgeable staff. A good evening and certainly worth a return.
This is not your run of the mill restaurant! The menu immediately tells you that you're in for a treat, and we were not disappointed. Each dish was slightly innovative, very tasty, nicely presented and just the right size. The wine list is interesting and offers many wines you don't often see. The service was speedy and friendly. We'll definitely be back.
Absolutely brilliant meal beautifully cooked and accompanied by excellent wine. Simply a gem of a restaurant in Jesmond which is sensibly priced and cosy in ambience
our first visit - we will be back for sure, and will recommend to all our friends and family. If the lighting had been slightly brighter we would have been able to see our fantastic tasting food and given a 6 rating. I noticed that some tables had a light immediately above them - Ours was not one of them - which may explain my comment above. Brian/Katie Hodgson
Great food With different flavours. Staff very knowledgable and friendly. Went for a special occasion and had a fantastic night and wouldn't hesitate to return.
Very relaxed atmosphere, quick and attentive service and very tasty food and wine. It is also very near to where our daughter lives and therefore very convenient for us
Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious! Would recommend 100%. Staff were very friendly and polite. The atmosphere was really relaxed and the food was truely superb, everything was so tasty and cooked to perfection.
Unpretentious, understated bistro with cosy atmosphere, friendly attentive staff and fabulous food. Extensive wine list. Will definitely return! The restaurant is named after the chef’s granny - she’ll be proud!
Went for dinner, atmosphere was very cozy with open kitchen, good ambience and music. Food and service was great. A little disappointing with dessert. Waiter gave us the wrong bill at the end as well.
Good ambiance, great service and fantastic food. Oysters were excellent - order more than you think. Main courses good proportions -a little larger than similar high end restaurants. Desserts disappeared completely. 'skin' wine from Austria top end. Will return.
Spectacular food and excellent service. A lovely, intimate, understated gem of a restaurant. Definitely up there with Peace and Loaf, The Artisan and The House of Tides. Already looking forward to returning to try the Sunday lunch.
Absolutely exquisite! So well done as far as food, drink, ambience and staff. They were knowledgeable and attentive. We will definitely return! Thanks so much!
Great staff, atmosphere and food. Some food excellent, good number of choices but some seemed a bit less interesting so there was overlap between our orders. A bit odd to have a ‘specials’ board with nothing on it. Mutton, sprouts and raw steak got top marks.
Great local restaurant, serving seasonal cooking with high quality ingredients. Friendly & professional staff. Good wines. Only misfire was desserts, possibly due to limited kitchen size & team. Recommended if in the area.
Our first visit to The Patricia was to celebrate my husband's birthday. It's a lovely restaurant, very understated. Food in all 3 courses plus our snack of the Epoisses sandwich were absolutely delicious, some of the best food we have eaten. Service was very good although our wine arrived a little late. Unfortunately there were no alcohol free beers or wines on the drinks menu. Due to medical reasons my husband is able to drink only a very small amount of alcohol so will always look for an alcohol free alternative. Would have scored you 6 if alcohol free were available.
Brilliant service, delicious food and a good menu with in season ingredients. The cocktails were top quality as well. Nice atmosphere and not too many tables crammed in.
Better to go in large group as tables for two in dingy corners. Starters and wine superb. Main course disappointing too much fat and butter.
Food was lovely - excellent snacks, starters, mains and wine; decent puddings. All food was beautifully cooked, and everything on each plate worked together. Great range for a small menu (the raw aged beef salad with stilton and walnuts was perfectly balanced; the sausage pappardelle ragu tasted like Italy). Everything looked good without being aggressively cheffy; the mains were as interesting as the starters. Appropriately sized portions, and really good value for the price (I can't think of another Newcastle restaurant in this price range with food this good).
Beautiful experience. Dark and relaxing. Wine perfect. Service attentive, knowledgable, and discrete. Food sublime. Disappointing amount of swearing from the open kitchen where all was calm and controlled.
Wonderful food, pleasant staff, good music and a relaxing ambience. Who could ask for more? - our first visit, very very impressed, looking forward to next time
Excellent food and service. Very reasonably priced. The best Sunday lunch I've eaten in many years. Can't wait to visit again and try the daily menu.
Really enjoyed our first visit to the Patricia. It has a great ambience, the steak was mouth watering and wine and service were superb. Thank you.
Gorgeous little restaurant- amazing quality food! The Patricia has been a great new arrival onto the Newcastle food scene. Have eaten there 4 times and have never been disappointed. We love it!
If you like excellent food prepared with love, go. If you want to be seen dining in the right places, go. If you judge a restaurant on hygiene, go. Any other criteria, stay away, you'll hate its eclectic, cosy, familiar feel. Well done Nick and thank you.
Food excellent- service a little slow and very hot in restaurant even though it wasn't a particularly warm night but the open kitchen generates a certain amount of heat - could do with some air con
Great food, great service and great atmosphere! A good selection of wines, and ability to mix cocktails off menu too! Thoroughly impressed - definitely believe the hype! We went to Cafe Vivo for Restaurant Week the following Tuesday and had their braised beef and it was genuinely staggering how much better the Patricia's offering was! My only comment would be the location - need a larger restaurant close to bars for after dinner drinks! Thanks for a great evening.
Most delicious all I've had in years. Attentive staff. Delicious wine. Little cheese toastie superb. Fantastic anchovies. Superlative steak. Mouth watering fondant with a mushy centre. COME EAT HERE.
This is a small restaurant that serves excellent food. The service may seem slow at times but the food is freshly prepared & worth any wait.
Love the creative menu, but the execution needs fine-tuning. The mushroom starter for example was delicious but too big and same-y. The presentation could be improved as well - just beige and brown. the Patricia is definitely worth checking out!
Great restaurant- interesting menu, all perfectly cooked and with attentive and knowledgeable serving staff. We went for the early sitting at 6.15 and had the place to ourselves for an hour and a half Nice ambience - background music was mostly American 50's swing. Despite being on the busy main road, there was no traffic noise. 4 of us ate v tasty 3 course meal with a glass of wine for £115 which is also v good value for fine dining. We'll be back!
Food and service very good but the decor was very dark making it a poor atmosphere and the tables on the small side for 4 people
A late birthday treat set menu lovely choices cooked very well. Flavours excellent nothing over powered. WINE selection good too. Serivce nice not over intrusive, would go back a really good addition to the Newcastle restaurant in realistic price range thank you.
