The Nailers Arms

Most go for the Carvery (as we did), which is excellent quality and also very good value. There is a good selection of alternatives too. The Restaurant is well appointed and comfortable, and lively ambience. We also found the service to be very friendly and efficient. So why not top marks (6*) instead of 5? Purely how busy it is, absolutely rammed and (if you have the ‘wrong ‘ table, you can have a queue of people standing next to you while you are eating). But frankly, this is hardly the Restaurants fault or anything they could/should address - just a reflection on how popular it is, not really the place for a quiet intimate meal, but great for fun, group eats...

70th Birthday, We all enjoyed the carvery, deserts were lovely and the waitress was very welcoming. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Even brought us a knife and serviettes to enable us to cut birthday cake.

I booked for two and spoke to friends in the afternoon and invited them to join us. Phoned The Nailers and it wasn't a problem for four.

Didn't order off the main menu we had the carvery 3 meats to choose from and plenty of vegetables all cooked just right, nice quite atmosphere great value would definitely recommend.

Food was to their usual high standard. Beef and turkey were cooked to perfection and great variety of vegetables, staff very efficient, would go there again and again.

Went because we wanted Steak Pie which we have had on a previous visit, disappointed to find it was not available. Had carvery instead which was excellent.

Took my father and my mother-in-law for Saturday lunch. Beautifully decorated and spacious dining area. Fantastic selection of vegetables on the carvery. Could not fault anything.

Enjoyed an excellent meal, good choice of vegetables with a selection of three meats at the carvery. Lovely decor and staff were friendly. No complaints.

We booked Saturday lunch time. The food was very hot as usual we chose the carvery. The service is good. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

I would highly recommend the carvery,turkey sometimes too dry,but the beef is spot on all the time. Sometimes the Gravy can be too salty. Excellent

They are in the process of changing the menu so three of our choices they no longer had which was disappointing. They did however give us two free deserts as compensation. Food was well cooked, nicely presented and hot. Staff were friendly.

The carvery is always excellent You always receive a friendly welcome and the pub has a good atmosphere. Would have no problem recommending anyone to try it.

Lovely carvery as ever, was slightly disappointed with the limited selection of beers on offer, would love more choice but doesn't take anything away from food and service

Fantastic food great value for money, thoroughly enjoyable meal will definitely revisit. Would highly recommend anyone to look up this little gem. What more needs to be said!

As always fantastic fresh food. Always have the carvary but went for a change today and had a chicken burger. Nice choice. Other members of family had carvary, staff gave warning to when food was nearly ready so others could go and get their carvary. Pleasant staff and always lovely and clean seating area .

Nice friendly and helpful staff offering a warm welcome. Lovely fresh cooked food, great carvery with plenty of choice of vegetables. Would recommend for any occasion.

It would be hard to beat the carvery meal, lovely meat & wonderful selection of delicious vegetables. The roast potatoes are pretty special. Just a fabulous lunchtime out. Enjoyed by all.

Pork disappointing, yorkshire puddings too, very unusual i have to say. Very busy but service always fabulous, staff very attentive, although not many staff in restaurant area.

As always, the food and service were first class. Really liked the new decor and refurbishment. Look forward to returning to the Nailors very soon.

Amazing food and service. A good varried range on the menu and beers/coders on tap. A lovely seating area outside both on the pub side and restaurant side. Friendly staff.

Excellent!! Fresh food , plenty of it. Great staff. Only a 5 as the fudge cake was a bit disappointing . Always well worth the money and go regularly. Book on line - easy!

The carvery is amazing all the food is very fresh and a really good choice of different vegetables. All this at a very reasonable price. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the restaurant is always clean and tidy.

Great carvery with wide variety of veg/accompaniments. However it gets v busy on Sundays & can be quite noisy so if you prefer something more intimate it may not be place for you. Having said that the food is always really good.

Highly recommend this restaurant. Excellent food, good menu choices, great value and super quality. The service was great, looking forward to our next visit soon.

Excellent food - excellent service. Price just right. If you do not eat from The Carvery Menu, the food is just as good and is served at the same time and guest eating from Carvery Menu

The carvery is wonderful value with an excellent selection of vegetables. The only downside was that the table we were allocated (No. 3) is tucked up in a dark corner away from the main body of the restaurant and I would have preferred to have a view of the other diners and perhaps be nearer to a window.

A great meal as always. Excellent quality of meat; pork, beef and turkey today. Always a good selection of fresh veg. And always a few decent ales to try.

Lovely meal tonight at the Nailers Arms. Plenty of choice and the staff were really polite. For those of us that had the carvery we just would just have liked the food to be hotter. A lovely member of staff even organised our taxi home.

Visited Nailers Arms on several occasion's, and have never been disappointed with the food or service. On this visit myself and partner had the carvery. The meat was moist and tasty, and a large choice of vegetable's. Will visit again soon, and would highly recommend.

Fantastic meal. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend if you have never been before. Puddings are huge, so save some room or share one. Plenty of parking. Book well in advance.

Never disappointed from the food here, or the service. The staff are so wonderful and the food is just wholesome, fresh home cooking. Waddled out the restaurant again, as usual!

We took my Mother for sunday lunch to celebrate my birthday. My husband and Mum had the vegetarian carvery and I ha Roast Beef. The selection of vegetables were superb. It as my Mum's first visit and she was very impressed. My Mum and I both had dessert, rhubarb and apple crumble for my mum and strawberry eton mess for me, both delicious. Service was very good too.

Lovely food and great service, can't fault our evening meal. Will defiantly be returning and recommending to friends and family. Thank you for a lovely evening

Took my girlfriend their for her birthday and had a fab meal we both had the carvery which was delicious 😋 wouldn't go anywhere else!
