Beautiful place and beautiful food!!! Greeted with a very warm welcome and seated promptly. The decoration of the place is really nice and I will definitely go again.

Booked a table for a Saturday evening, got there bit early but was seated straight away, staff were polite and friendly and food was excellent, lots of choice bedt carvery I’ve had so far. Will definitely go back there

Excellent service and very helpful staff from bar to service at table. I do think the lad serving the carvery was a bit on the miserable side.

Food of good quality and staff very obliging. Have visited the restaurant many times and have always had a good experience. Ambiance of the restaurant excellent.

Fabulous carvery as always and service with a smile from the staff. What’s not to like? Will be going again soon, it’s our ‘go to’ place for a carvery.

We had the carvery excellent value nice atmosphere it starts at 7-30 pm finishes at 9 pm so make sure that timing suits your need all in all a very nice evening would highly recommend

The carvery is their speciality but last night my granddaughter and myself decided we would have something off the menu....my granddaughter ordered the fish and chips and I the faggots....we waited almost 30 minutes for the food to arrive....my faggots were very warm almost cold I had taken a small piece out of the faggots to try I sent them back few minutes later the waitress came back with the same faggots and said the chef had put a probe in to the faggots they were cooked but not hot and no need to worry I wouldn't get food poisoning ...the chips were soggy....my granddaughter food was warm too but at least she said the fish was ok.. It appears that the carvery is their speciality for the dining room and other food is the priority of the bar as when we asked when our food was coming we were told they were cooking orders in the bar.....30 miners wait for food is unacceptable and then had to be sent back to reheat....I am probably lucky I haven't had good poisoning .... ....on reflection the faggots were probably frozen to start off with ...

when arriving was quickly seated the staff were friendly, our order taken starters arrived quickly then went for the carvery which was delicious overall food was very good which made it a very good evening

As ever, great service, food is well presented, excellent choice of meats and vegetables for the carvery. Table service is great, food is always, excellent, served nice and hot, nice, friendly environment, always a pleasant experience.

Yet again, another fantastic night, with great service, friendly staff and the most delicious food ever. Visit here, probably twice a month and have never ever had a bad meal. Always have the carvery, but there is a lovely alternative menu available. Definitely recommend this place

Food was average but while we were eating they were putting out tables right next to us for the next day, and we felt like they wanted to go home

Been several times now, the food has always been fantastic. The food off the menu is as good as the carvery. Highly recommended, but phone first if you haven't booked to avoid disappointment. Good range of real ales, but get a 6axi as they are about 5%. Staff are friendly and helpful.

As always table was ready as booked and staff were polite and helpful food was excellent as always.The quality is excellent value for the money.

An excellent carvery tender meat and a very good choice of vegetables as usual, excellent wines lovely polite staff great restaurant with a good atmosphere.

A good carvery - three choices of meat, all cooked nicely. About eight choices of vegetables and three choices of potato. I have never felt the need to select anything off the a la carte menu. Good value desserts from the chiller cabinet. Only minor complaint is that there weren't drinks menus on the tables - which involved some guessing as to what wines they were selling.
