We both had the Sunday roast with the sirloin of beef, and have no complaints - really really tasty. Would definitely recommend.

we loved going to this place when it was the moody cow, but visit was very disappointing and we will not be going back. Service was ok at best, had to wait 10 minutes longer for a pint of beer than any of the other drinks, the steaks were ok. The staff were slow and had no control over other diners, there were children running around and playing on empty tables. We will not be returning.

We have been coming to the Ilkley cow for several years and the food is always excellent. I was disappointed this time to see that the menu has been changed so much, there used to be a wider range of different starters and main courses which is one of the reasons we liked it so much. Now they have moved away from the fajitas and various burgers and other dishes etc to just focus on steak, it’s probably not a place we’ll visit as much as the options are limited if you don’t want an expensive meal. But the steak I did have was excellent and the service was fantastic. I just think bringing back some of the old variety would be good.

Unfortunately on this occasion the Sunday lunch was not up to standard. Soggy roast potatoes and Luke warm vegetables. The pork was pink and when returned to warm, it came back looking like it had been placed under the grill. However the waitress was most apologetic. I doubt I will return again

A first visit for us this year and we will definitely be back. Had the chateaubriand for 4 and it was beautiful!! Great value for money especially as it came with 2 bottles of wine. Stunning meal and good value for money. A visit is a must!!!

Usually exceptionally good, but on this occasion I would describe it as only okay! The service was good, but the food was only average on this occasion with the peppercorn sauce served best described as water. I will return, as on previous visits my food has been excellent!

Greeted nicely, table hosting good, menu very clear, nice selection. Had the Chateau thingie for 2 @ £60, super piece of meat and great value for money! Recommended wine superb; sides were a delight, staff very friendly. I personally like to enjoy my food once it arrives without too many interruptions from Front of House explaining the transfer of ownership, his past career, humorous anecdotes etc etc. Less is more! An introductory hello, this is whats happened, and a once in the meal "all OK" would suffice. That said, would not hesitate to go again........ onwards and upwards!

It was ok. Ordered the 2 course Sunday lunch not a great deal on my plate or my daughters.plus no couliflower cheese which on the menu said the roast comes with it.

Although quiet on a sunny bank holiday Sunday, the Ilkley Cow was a great choice. The menu looked a bit expensive online but the set menu meal deal was really good value. The starters were very good (calamari and soup), and we all had sirloin beef roast dinner for mains (pink succulent meat, crispy yorkshire puds). And the cheese cake for dessert was really good too. Above all, the service was top notch, very attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

My husband and I eat at Ilkley Cow occasionally for our date nights. We always have outstanding dinners here. Sometimes we get the steak, but this time my husband had the Salmon and I had the Lamb, both were excellent. The staff has always been attentive and helpful.

Extremely good value for money, we visited on Sunday and had one of the steaks on steak night.

Consistently good, every time we eat here. Last night they had sold out of our usual choice, which was disappointing. However, the food was very good.
