Consistently high quality food and excellent service. So many different types of fish within the seven course taster menu - all delicious.

My wife and I love the LFM and have eaten here many times but last night something seemed off. We arrived at the 6:45pm allotted time but it seemed that all tables needed to be there before they started serving as we didn't get anything to eat until after 7:30 (except for a couple of olives)! It was a 6 course tasting menu which we love but it took forever to get the 6 courses last night. There was an optional cheese course which I would have gone for but the time was too late for me, we didn't leave the restaurant until after 10:30 so it took nearly 4 hours and that was no cheese course and no coffees. The food as always prepared by Duncan was outstanding especially the salmon and halibut courses. I'm hoping that whatever affected the timing last night can be fixed as we really love the LFM and Duncan's cooking.

Most lovely restaurant x fantastic food and service x gorgeous reasonably priced wine x a joy

This is probably the most expensive restaurant in Brighton and Hove and it is difficult getting a reservation. The staff are very welcoming but sadly the visors and hard surfaces make it virtually impossible to hear what they are saying. Face masks would possibly make it easier to hear and safer. It was cold (despite being recently renovated) so we had to keep our coats on throughout the meal. The staff said they couldn’t make it warmer. Some dishes were tasty and interesting but many lacked consistency, for example my Eclair was delicious but my friends said theirs was tasteless with no filling. The Homage to Michel Bras although tasty sadly lacked in presentation. Even the Egg and Soldiers which was extremely clever and delicious only had one soldier. So after looking forward to going we felt that overall the food and experience could be improved.

Duncan and the team at little fish surpass all expectations. From the warm welcome we received we knew we were going to experience something special. Every course was absolutely stunning it’s just to hard to pick my favourite course but the egg and soldiers dish was a game changer. Even in these uncertain and scary times of Covid . Duncan and the team made us feel safe and well looked after. Thank you little fish .

The experience was great, but some of the dishes could have been done differently. For me the monk fish didn’t quite go with the mushroom as it was quite stringy otherwise and excellent evening.

It's one of those that for the menu and the price you're paying you feel that you should be leaving the place fulfilled and satisfied. Sadly these days this place comes rather short of doing exactly that. I can name a bunch of places with similar setting and prices and you leave feeling like a million dollars. Although the service was good and the food was ok (not the greatest, but ok) I was extremely disappointed. Having been a visitor in the past when this place first opened is a far cry from what it used to be. Normally places should get better not worst! I remember when it started the menu changed depending on what the fish mongers and markets and it was cash only. Then it was great, now it's just a mutton dressed as lamb. Onto the setting and atmosphere. Sadly the refurb that they've done is rather ugly. It feels more like being in a day time cafe rather than a top end restaurant. It's very bland, plain, echoey, and noisy especially when you have a few people. It's just horrible. I think bottom line is that I will never return again, as there are better prices for a taster menu where I can get better quality and leave always being satisfied.

This was my first visit at the Little Fish Market and I must say, I was really impressed. A wonderful, relaxed atmosphere, incredibly friendly staff and the food was to die for. I can 100% recommend this restaurant. A big thank you to everybody.

What a meal to go out on. On Thursday b4 close-down Friday we delighted in great, interesting and tasty food, with a magnificent Chablis. so keen to get back, keep well all. sharon

This is the second time we’ve been to TLFM - a proper treat - wonderful food, good service, and a lovely easy and unpretentious atmosphere - loved it all, however, if we had to pick a favourite dish, it would be the cod, vanilla, English sparkling wine sauce and keta - sublime! Thank you :))

Nice food but still hungry after 5 courses which was such a shame. Also did the wine pairing and the wine was plentiful but didn't lift the food as intended and as I've experienced with other pairings. Overall i was disappointed considering the cost and expectation.

My partner and I eat out every week and this was the best food we had eaten in a long while. The front of house staff are fantastic and so very friendly. The food was packed with flavour and clearly cooked with thought and love..we will definitely be returning.

Food was great but the wait in between each course was too long. The overall service could have been reduced by at least an hour and this would have made the evening a much better experience.

Food was very good although only offering a fixed tasting menu was too restrictive. There was poor choice of drinks, for example no vodka, and only designer soft drinks were available. Very loud as no soft furnishings and hard surfaces made the conversation difficult. The seating was very basic and the permanent condensation on the windows degraded the experience. Overall not great value for money and we won't be returning despite the quality cuisine.

Refined skilled cooking using quality ingredients beautifully presented with some fine touches

This was probably the third or fourth visit. The food was as wonderful as ever but the balance of food to wine ( we had the wine flight) was at odds. Too much alcohol for the tiny portions. I had to ask for more bread. It was noisier than we remembered . The birthday treat of a free glass of Prosecco was of course welcome. We missed the previous server who was so natural, informative and unhurried. But your food is a dream.

This was our fourth visit. Every single time was brilliant! This is the real acid test for any restaurant whether they can produce the same high quality food over an extended period. Full marks.
