Food was great, staff were very friendly. Only reason I couldn't give full marks was that the toilets weren't that tidy when we were there. Other than that, it was great.

Great food (Sunday roasts), good value (big portions), very child friendly for our toddler (highchairs, kids menu, play area outside). Would definitely recommend a visit.

It was fine food and good location. We found the service was a bit busy all night long and, subsequently, we were waiting some times. Nonetheless, we are very happy.

The Latchmere is a lovely, cosy gastro pub, attentive staff and delicious food. I would recommend the Chorizo and black pudding scotch egg starter and the Sunday roasts.

A very tasty, good, quality steak - surprisingly good! A pleasant pub with great service plus a fantastic small theatre upstairs with tiered raised seating! Would definitely recommend.

Food tasty, nice atmosphere, service polite and accommodating but sadly felt rushed - we were only told after sitting down that the table was only available for 2 hours, having not been told when booking, nor in the several emails exchanged before - annoying on this occasion as a Christmas gathering of old friends coming from far away - luckily plenty of nice pubs in the area!

The quality of the food is very poor, for a venue to call itself a Gastro Pub it should first bring the level of food to a consistently good standard, having been there a couple of times now at different days and times of the week I think they would be more accurate to say they just serve pub food, besides which it is very very expensive for what they do serve. We certainly would not recommend it to any friends.

Excellent food, drink and service. My group of 8 people really enjoyed the night and we have zero complaints at all. A fantastic pub all round

Great food and good wine list, both very well priced. Service was also very good but unfortunately the music is so loud it makes conversation almost impossible.

Better than average pub food, nice and quiet early evening. Very surprised there isn't more interaction between the pub and the theatre upstairs, with promotions and offers.

Very nice food, slightly slow service considering the restaurant wasn't busy and lots of staff around. Menu offers a good selection and a nice atmosphere inside

Food was mediocre, especially for the price. The menu was ambitious, but in practice the flavours were one dimensional, the seasoning unbalanced, and some of the meat over cooked. However, nice staff and pleasant interior.

The place is really beautiful and warm! The employees were all kind and quick, although the place was packed. The food is amazing... really! I recommend the shared steak, so tasty that it still waters my mouth now that I think about it!

Lovely pub, good food and service. The pre theatre menu is good value, whilst limited in choice, and the full menu looks quite pricy but would be tempted to try something from it next time.

The touted 'large selection of beers' are mainly bottled and on draught is actually larger which was rather disappointing. Nice staff - even if they were uninformed about the cooking methods - they don't let us in the kitchen! Food was sadly mediocre at best. Theatre was rustic - uncomfortable benches with little leg room and very poor air circulation - but the play BU21 was very good even though the dialogue was overly sprinkled with 'cunt' - does everybody have to communicate through 4 letter words? Never the less I still enjoyed my visit!!

Great food (both of us has the burger), really good atmosphere and nice staff. One point docked for being charged £4.80 for a lager shandy which seemed a tad steep!

I booked early in the day on 3rd April birthday dinner for 5 people at 5pm and specifically asked for roast dinners and that I should be informed of any changes in availability. The Latchmere had both my phone number and email. I arrived on time, was shown to my table and then informed that roast chicken was off the menu. The gentleman was very apologetic but as some of my party wanted roast chicken we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. As you can imagine, bit upsetting and inconvenient. Not good.

The food was okay, the meat was a bit underdone for my liking as it had a bit of a slimey texture. Although the Yorkshire was amazingly massive, it had a burnt taste I weren't too fond of.

Great service and food . Theatre excellent and it was great when the actors came and talked to us after their performance . Only bad thing was one drunk female who screamed like a strangled hyena at the top of her lungs every thirty seconds ruining what was otherwise a fantastic night out .

Super experience. We were 5 girls out for a good night in town, and they helped to start out the night with style. Had super suggestion for a cocktail to start us up with; 4 pornstar martini's, which was a new one for me. Very tasty! Staff were very understanding and helpful about my allergies. As a person with gluten, onion, and lactose intollerance, it can be a challenge to eat out. They had a focus on details of the dish, so I didn't risk having any reactions, and they didn't just take items away from my dish, but adjusted it to suit my special needs and made a special sauce. We had 4 different dishes between us, and all the food was of exelent quality, with eye for the details. Great start to the evening and very friendly and helpful staff.

Came here last Sunday for a roast and drinks. Atmosphere: 5/6 it was a nice family pub atmosphere, went with a friend it was very good and we felt comfortable. Service: 5/6 The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, would have been full marks if we didn't feel like we were being rushed out. Food: 2/6 We came here because we had seen on social media the giant Yorkshire puddings and we wanted in on that action! The food came very quickly. When the food came out we loved the look of it it all looked delicious. (We had both ordered the beef roast) The taste, however did not at all match up to the aesthetics unfortunately :( We were so disappointed. There wasn't a lot of flavour in general, the veggies weren't good, meat was tough as were the potatoes (these made us especially sad). Even the Yorkshires we were so looking forward to were a huge greasy letdown. So overall I would definitely come back to the Latchmere for drinks we loved the atmosphere, but we will save our money and go to the Sushi Cafe round the corner if we get hungry.

The food was well above the usual pub standard, and there was a good choice of dishes. The staff, though friendly, were occasionally inattentive. We were also originally seated at a table that was very close to the main bar area, which would have made for a noisy evening if we hadn't moved.

Their Sunday roast has deteriorated in quality. The Yorkshire pudding was dry, red cabbage was missing and the veg option is now a sad salad of lentils with a spicy gravy which had the consistency of washing up water.

We had a lovely meal, staff were friendly, food delicious, really enjoyed it. Only possible improvement would be that we were sitting by a lovely fire but on the other side was the entrance to the kitchen and the back door was left open so there was a draft, but he pub was really really nice and we would definitely go back.
