The food is excellent, there is a great varied menu, the staff are knowledgeable, lovely relaxed atmosphere. My wife loves the craft Gin menu! This is one of our favourite restaurant/pubs in the area. Highly recommend the Kings Head

Warmly received and well looked after. Friendly staff, and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I was entertaining guests and they were impressed. Will certainly come again.

Very pleasant service from the staff, all well presented. Nicely presented menu with yummy sounding choices - really want to have the Madeiran Espetada next time. The steaks we both had were good, tasty and filling. A very minor feedback is to move the wording of the menu saying what a Steak is accompanied by from the bottom of the page to immediately beneath the steaks and before the 'extras' like the scrummy Shropshire Blue topper please. If anyone wants to read that as a complaint, you are very much mistaken.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, even the drinks were brought to the table. Portions were a little on the small size but as a cheaper lunch menu, not bad. Recommended for a very nice meal.

Fantastic evening, organised and stressless! Starter and main was beautiful and tasted amazing, never fail. Catered for a party of 11 that was last minute so didn’t preorder and succeeded without a delay.

We had a lovely meal AGAIN. We took my son and his partner and he is very fussy but he was so impressed and said he will be back. Waitress very attentive, lovely place to eat, cannot say anymore you have to try. Prices are great value too.

Excellent food and good service. Steaks were slightly overdone (medium was well done and well done was really well done) but other than that very nice place to eat. Intending going back next week.

3 good meals 1 was not and no one came to the table after service to ask this made what would have been an enjoyable meal disappointing

Lovely staff & great omlettes. I also love that they do not cram the dinning tables in, which gives both space & privacy. Dog friendly too which is fab!

Lovely Sunday lunch. Massive portions of great tasting meat, veg and Yorkshire pud. Kids portion also good. ( happy we could have a doggy bag!!). Very accommodating with our gluten free requirements too. Excellent service too.

Steak was cooked as requested but was Chargrilled and tasted burnt. When raised with the Manager she did remove it from the Bill and said to request pan fried next time

Hadn’t been for a while but the food was as lovely as always, service was great and our party of six had a lovely time.

We have eaten there several times. They are consistently great. Fantastic food and service. One of my favourite pubs. Would highly recommend. Their choice on the menu is always fresh and varied, and whatever I have ordered, it is delicious.

Great 'summer addition' of a range of 'salads' on top of their usual excellent menu - but, beware the portion size is huge! Do not be afraid to ask for a 'doggy bag'

Waited over an hour for food. Drinks came eventuality. Fish overcooked. Offered dessert menu no-one taking order so left. Staff unorganised drop the word guys.

We were a party of 8 celebrating both my 50th and my daughter's 18th birthday. A very pleasant evening was had by all. The food was amazing, the service excellent and the atmosphere wonderful. Thank you to the staff for looking after us - even the surprise icecream scoop with a chocolate happy birthday and a candle for both of us :-).

The pub offered great food and lovely staff, explains why super busy on a Thursday eve! will definitely be revisiting and recommending. it is highly recommended.

We have visited a few times in the past and enjoyed it immensely. Our last visit was a bit of a disappointment, the food was fine but found the prices excessive compared to other restaurants we visit.

As always the food was excellent and the service very attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our minute steaks, salad and chips. A great lunch enjoyed by my friend and I.

Service was a bit slow, we waited quite a long time for drinks, but the food was brilliant, apart from the roast potatoes which were very salty.

Excellent food, however the service was very slow due to being understaffed. We had to request dessert menu and request to order desserts. Sadly this let the experience down.

We had a lovely evening here to celebrate our daughter's birthday. I hadn't realised that, in addition to their normal menu, it was a specialist burger evening. We all decided to select from the burger list including our daughter who is vegetarian. She now lives in America and she loved her "veggy" selection. This is the third time we have eaten here and every time has been a great experience.

So pleased that you brought back the Salmon and Crayfish Cocktail. We missed the horseradish ice cream, but it is sooooo much better than the salmon mousse starter.

Excellent crispy salmon wrap. Onion rings were amazing- especially dipped in peppercorn sauce!

The food was lovelyBut they were obviously shortstaffed so the wait for drinks was quite a long time. I had to go and ask for the menus. However the staff that were there working really hard and it certainly wouldn’t put me off going again

Excellent friendly service with cracking food. Try the salmon wrap! Totally delicious all round with our meals. Beautiful location there in Napton on the hill

Welcome was very good, service was very good, food was very good and the departure was very good. What more can you ask. 8 of us eating had 7 different main courses all brought to the table hot, at the same time and clearly freshly cooked.

My favourite go to pub. Excellent service, fantastic food, very friendly staff. The staff are always friendly and welcoming even when the Kings Head is really busy.

We visited on Sunday evening often not a good time to try a new venue but the food and service was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly.

Sunday lunch at the Kings Head tres magnifique as always!!! Have visited here quite a few times and never disappoints. The meal is as near to a home cooked meal as you can get without the disadvantage of the washing up. Best Sunday Lunch in the area for miles around and we make a round trip of sixty miles so I think that says a lot. Keep up the good work and please.........don't lose that Chef!!!

Lovely meal, service good, had steak & sea bass, both well cooked, would have preferred my sea bass a little crispier, but overall meal good value.

Lovely evening as were able to sit outside in the sun. Service ok. Prosecco overpriced at £22.50 a bottle and had to wait a bit of a while for it. Food was good - monkfish and king prawn espetada was lovely and came at just the right time.

Even though the pub was incredibly busy due to a large party, the staff were very attentive and professional. Lovely food with a lovely atmosphere.

Lovely meal. Took my 6 month old daughter. The staff were great and even provided baby cutlery for her. Absolutely brilliant and so friendly. Food was beautiful. The blade of beef was cooked to perfection.

Had a family meal out for Father’s Day. Roast dinners were lovely, meat and vegetables were perfectly cooked. Fantastic meal and service as always. The James family x
