The food is good, the beer is excellent and the atmosphere friendly. I went there with a party of work colleagues, all of whom agreed that the Keg & Grill is a really good place to enjoy beer & curry. The mixed grill is a large pile of chicken, lam and fish done is various ways (tandoori, kebab, bahji etc.) and is delicious - a word of warning, don't order one as a starter unless you are sharing! I followed up with keema muttar, masala chips and jeera rice - wonderful. Go there, you will not be disappointed.

The food here is just amazing. We ordered a selection of starters and mains from the lunchtime menu. The food arrived piping hot and was perfectly cooked. The Keg and Grill has some of the best asian food in the area. I particularly recommend the 'combo' platter. A lovely varied selection of asian food. Good beer and comfortable surroundings. I highly recommend it :o)

Excellent food, very good value and a choice of cask ales. What more could you want from a pub? Do "desi pubs" only exist in Birmingham? I wish we had them in London. Birmingham 1 London 0

Initially, we though we had chosen the wrong place for our special night out. It's a small converted pub, a little cramped with small, laminated tables. Lighting is quite stark and there was a large TV directly above our table. However, the TV was muted immediately at our request, and we quickly adjusted to the hubbub of conversation, the slightly-too-loud piped music and the friendly mood of the place and its clientele. The service was very friendly and efficient, food and beers excellent and prices extremely reasonable. I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for great Indian food with no frills.

Number 1 on trip advisor for pubs which serves mix grills however the mix grill is overrated and is no way worthy of its number one position. Overall the atmosphere and ambience of the pub was relaxed and the customer service was very good, I'd return for a drink but not for their mix grills.

Obviously a popular place as it was already quite full when we arrived, we were welcomed to our reserved table. My husband had their own ale and said it was a fantastic pint. The meal was delicious, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. It is a simple, no-frills place with a great atmosphere and, most importantly, fantastic food and drink.

We thought the food was fantastic and they had a good range of beer as well. We really liked the informal feel too. More ambient lighting and a few pictures on the walls and general enhancement of overall decoration would make this place even better!

I booked a table for 4 for our dinner after visiting the theatre, this was our 4th visit to The Keg & Grill and the food was fabulous. The staff are always warm and welcoming.I decided to try their Chicken Biriyani this time and it's one of the best I've had. It's only a small pub but sometimes it's nice to get away from the hustle & Bustle of the city centre

Our meal at the Keg and Grill was one of the best Indian meals we have had out. Well cooked, first class flavours and friendly service, in a nice relaxed atmosphere. We got excellent value for money and the portions were very satisfying. Well done, please keep doing what you are doing. Will visit again, recommend you try it, would advise advance booking. Well located for visiting the New Alexandra Theatre.
