Excellent service and wonderful food. Would highly recommend this restaurant. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. Food was very good and well presented.

This restaurant has a friendly, relaxed vibe. Good menu, with Specials. The food was beautifully cooked and delicious. A good selection of Italian wines complemented the meal perfectly.

Good choice of food. Great ambiance. Quality of food and service very good. Service staff are always around and have a pleasant disposition. Will come again.

What can I tell about this restaurant there were two us so I stuck us in a little back room , waited ages for someone to take our order then it time to receive our meals . I had veal and it was just covered in sauce so was my girlfriends meal . Steer clear of this place terrible .

Lovely local authentic place, great hosts and great food! We ordered different seafood pasta dishes, both were excellent! We shall definitely be coming back here regularly!

Nice ambience, friendly staff although service was a bit slow, food was pleasant although the seafood was a little rubbery. We will go back saying that as overall it was an enjoyable evening.

Excellent sea bass. Well cooked, well presented, great flavour. Friendly service. Very nice house red and as it was a lovely evening all the windows were open creating a lovely relaxed summer atmosphere.

This is a lovely place. Food portions are huge. The food was excellent. My brother is vegan and the cooker up something for him. I definitely recommend this restaurant

A good local Italian restaurant. A good range of classics and tasty fish specials. Great selection of Italian wines and attentive, friendly service. Great for transport with a bus stop right outside and Surbiton mainline and it's cab rank, so you can have that second bottle of chilled Verdicchhio.

It was excellent food, wine and good service. I highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely go again. Both my starter and main course were delicious.

The service was friendly and attentive. The menu is varied so something for everyone but also a good quality. We also did not feel rushed so were able to relax with coffees at the end. A pleasant experience and reasonably priced.

Very good meal. The restaurant was busy but the service was great. Good prawns and calamari starters. Great steak and Veal Milanese. We've been on quite a few occasions and always look forward to returning. Can't be faulted

VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE FOLLOWING: not getting the table we specifically requeted three weeks previously; being told there was already something not available from the menu as soon as we sat down (lobster); not having strawberries for one of your SPECIAL cocktails; not having one of the desserts on your menu (apple tart); having a napkin with a huge tear in it. This being said, the reason we enjoyed our experience was that the service was good, our guests were great company and we have to say the food is always absolutely delicious. It's a shame it was tarnished by the other obstacles.

I really wanted to rate this higher - the staff were friendly and it is a local business, but it was nothing special unfortunately. The service was slow - we had a long wait to order, which always is a bad start when you arrive hungry. The starters were overly heavy on the garlic, though my Saltimbocca was very good. On the plus side I also found the menu good value for money. Will return to see if the service is better.

A very warm welcome at the Italian taste. The food was excellent and a lot choice . the atmosphere was lovely . the wine list was extensive all in all a very good experience.

I went to the Italian Taste on Friday night in a group of 9. We were served quickly and all our meals arrived together. The food was great, as usual, the decor attractive and the staff very friendly. This has became a great favourite - I am sure my friends and I will be back soon.

The wine and food were very good and a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. The service was a little slow and resulted in deciding against ordering a dessert

We arranged a table here to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The lady who runs the restaurant during the day was so helpful and organised balloons and pretty confetti on the table and then also a candle in my daughter's dessert with singing! The service - as usual - was excellent. And the food authentic and fresh, just how we like it. They are also clued up about gluten-free diet, which is comforting as our daughter is a Coeliac. We also love the Gavi de Gavi at £29 per bottle. We will most certainly return, as each time we had dinner here, the 4 of us enjoyed it immensely.

Organised a small group booking for a friend's hen party. We all enjoyed incredible food and cocktails, the lovely, small, intimate setting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Couldn't recommend The Italian Taste more highly.

Lovely little restaurant! A true Italian gem in the heart of Surbiton! Food was gorgeous with really good portions! I had to waddle home after :)

The overall service received and quality of the food is excellent. It is at the lower end of Victoria Road in Surbiton, But this at the quieter end of the town.

Very enjoyable evening and good service. the risotto portion was enormous so think portion sizes for some meals could be a little more modest for those of us no longer in the first flush of youth.

Poor service, unseasoned and downright bland food. There's nothing Italian about this place. Avoid. Considering the quality of food and service it's very overpriced. Save your cash for a flight to Rome.

Another lovely meal for our anniversary. Isabella was a wonderful host and the food was absolutely delicious. Can't wait for the next visit. Thank you.
