Genuinely Italian, run casually & modestly but also skillfully by an Italian gentleman. Only the tomato sauce (perhps industrial) could be better prepared. Must go when you're around & have been fed up with pizzaxxxxss type of fake Italian pizzas&dishes.
Excellent food; the whole menu is available in gluten free (the owner has coeliac). The customer service was great and the restaurant has a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
Classic 'home cooking' Italian, good hearty portions. Lovely atmosphere and friendly service. A great place for a casual night out with a group of friends. We'll be back
Great venue for a party with a number of gluten intolerant people. Very friendly, great service and excellent food. Also easily reached on public transport and with street parking nearby. Will definitely be going back.
It was a fantastic, casual place to have dinner! Very intimate and friendly. Risotto was on point, as was the house wine. Will definitely return.
Enjoyed a light lunch here in May. Handy location for where we wanted to be. Wonderfully Italian, great pasta, delivered promptly as they knew we were on a schedule.
Excellent range for gluten intolerance. 'Hidden' Charge for bread and olives but wasn't suprised. Staff really friendly. Food is pleasant enough but would probably only go again if with people with allergies.
Great food, friendly atmosphere and almost everything on the menu can be order gluten free! Please note that I did not try any of the wines thus I cannot offer any feedback on these.
Very warm welcome, great service and great with the kids. My wife was very impressed with the huge gluten free choice, definitely coming back! Thanks guys!
Cotta serves homemade and fantastic Italian food and they have a nice and friendly staff. It was a bit noisy, but anyway, a nice experience. We would like to come back.
Good food especially if you are coeliac. Ambience average and in need of refurb. Staff helpful and very polite. Worth a visit if in the area
Da buoni Italiani abbiamo apprezzato molto la cucina nostrana anche a Londra. Nota particolare per i piatti senza glutine, particolarmente apprezzati da Lavinia. Ci ritorneremo per la pizza.Giovanni Roma
food is always amazing. Service is top draw. Staff are always friendly and the food is never bad. House wine is also very palatable. 5 star
Really nice little restaurant, friendly staff, quick service. The food was nice, but very filling. Reasonable priced food and drink. Would definitely go back again!
Excellent! We went there because our daughter has coeliac desease. She had delicuous gluten free pizza but you can choose almost everything from the menu with gluten free option. The owner spoke to us and was very kind. We are from Spain but we would go there again!!!
Beautiful food great customer service in a relaxed environment! The complimentary olives are to die for! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Italian restaurant experience!
Super! We had a lovely time, great food and warming people. We came specially for the gluten free dishes, and they were the best! We will certainly come again
We had a delicious lunch here last week. Gluten Free option were delicious and a rare treat for those of us with celiac. Thank you Cotto!!
The very Traditional Italian Restaurant. Perfect for gluten free meals. ( I ordered a gluten free pizza with mushrooms and a strawberry cheesecake... Really really good!). Very good food and very nice people.
Great food, run by Italians. Warm, cosy with fantastic service. What is not to love? I would recommend to anyone, a gem in central london
Very good service however quality of food didn't meet our expectations. Plastic like polipo affogato in a heated shop bought tomato puree, and a £19 sward fish that lacked flavour. The pizza with homemade sausage was nice, not the best mozzarella but nice spicy and fenneley sausages. Great atmosphere and location.
We went to Cotto on March 11, 2016. We were visiting from the US and hosting English relatives. My son has cealic disease and Cotto handled GF food better than any place I've ever been. My son loved it and it was a highlight of our trip. Food, both gf and non-gf was great and service was fantastic.
This is a great family run restaurant with a good choice of gluten free dishes. Food is of a high standard and portions are large. Wine list is good and reasonable. Staff are very friendly Would recommend this restaurant and will definitely eat there again RGM
This is a great restaurant. Right in the heart of London you feel you are in a small Italian village. Service and food is top class
It's a nice place, and the staff is very welcoming. Their pizzas are great! The wild mushroom risotto was a bit bland for me though, but it might just be due to my hungarian taste buds. :) )
Very small restaurant, cosy and homely if you like that sort of thing, food was very nice and hot, staff were polite and friendly. I would have preferred somewhere with more space but overall a good experience.
Small italian restaurant away from main tourist areas of London. Great food. Large portions, so couldn't finish all the pasta which was delicious. Service very good. Will definitely return.
We all had a lovely meal on Saturday night, the food was great and the staff are all very helpful. A great finish to our day as we had been to see The Nutcracker in the afternoon at The Royal Opera House. Great day all round.
Lovely food. Simple menu, but done well. Caters well for coeliacs. Wine by the glass was very limited but more choice if you are buying by the bottle.
Very nice atmosphere, a good old proper authentic Italian. Love the selection of gluten free dishes, a few more dairy free options would be great.
Das Restaurant ist klasse. Haben selten so gut glutenfrei gegessen! Dazu absolut freundliche Bedienung und ein nettes Ambiente. Haben sofort für Montag wieder einen Tisch reserviert. Fantastic!
good esperience .. vert good italian food and the gluten free meal is a fantastic plus From Paolo - i am italian and i know very well italian taste
We were placed in the entrance which was very noisy, we asked to be moved and though the waiter was accomodating, the manager seemed to be annoyed. Apart from this the food was very good and the service okay. I am a celiac, so was pleased to have so many choices. Will go again,
By far the best Italian food in London, true home cooking and to make it even better, most of the menu can be altered to gluten free, accommodating those with Celiac disease or an intolerance. I have been several times now, each occasion with a different friend and they have all enjoyed it just as much as I have. It is so reassuring to have a safe place to eat when going out for dinner with friends and not subject them to a dietary menu that suits me. I will of course be back again soon :)
Staff is friendly and the pizzas and spaguettis gluten free are very good
Great food. Lots of gluten free options and the regular food my companions ate looked good too. I enjoyed my GF lasagna! Would have enjoyed a side salad or vegetable but did not see any option for that. Would recommend!
Cotto is a friendly authentic Italian, very convenient for supper after a performance at the Old Vic. We saw High Society and dined at 6 and the restaurant was already bustling with a very nice atmosphere.
Before to order we've been ensured that the GF was as big as the normal one. We got a small pizza and also, the GF pizza was too crunchy (it seemed an overcooked biscuit more than a pizza). But we also ordered a calzone and was very very good. If you really want to go, DO NOT order GF stuff, you pay more for less.
A warm welcome, cheerful and friendly manager, nice intimate restaurant, excellent food and reasonable prices. The portions were pretty good too. We loved the place and look forward to going again.
Excellent variety of gluten-free food and very welcoming staff. The food was delicious and the service was very attentive, and they didn't worry when we took so long to order as we were talking too much!
One of my favourite places to spend my money , a proper family restaurant with a staff that care. They so gluten free alternatives for all meals. Amazing
The food was very good, especially for people who are eating glutenfree . Me and my boyfriend are eating glutenfree and we had both a very good experience here.
Fantastic gluten free menu. Friendly staff. When in London hope to call in again.
Fabulous gluten free options and very large portions! Great location so close to the station and a lovely atmosphere.
Great atmosphere, full on a Tuesday night, good value for money and friendly service. Food was hot and fresh, prompt but not rushed service, fine for a midweek meal.
We have been to Cotto several times before and really love the fact that our son, who has coeliac disease, can order anything he likes from the menu safe in the knowledge that it will be completely gluten free. The service is excellent and the food is always delicious. We'll definitely be back.
Classic Italian restaurant with excellent gluten free menu. Not just one or two options but whole range of gf pasta, pizza, risotto, gnocchi etc. A find!
The atmosphere was very friendly, the food was really nice. I would recommend this restaurant.
Very friendly welcome, speedy serving of our order and tasty food.
Always superb food and I'm gluten intolerant so love that they can accommodate the meals for my allergy
