Small italian restaurant away from main tourist areas of London. Great food. Large portions, so couldn't finish all the pasta which was delicious. Service very good. Will definitely return.

Very small restaurant, cosy and homely if you like that sort of thing, food was very nice and hot, staff were polite and friendly. I would have preferred somewhere with more space but overall a good experience.

We all had a lovely meal on Saturday night, the food was great and the staff are all very helpful. A great finish to our day as we had been to see The Nutcracker in the afternoon at The Royal Opera House. Great day all round.

Very nice atmosphere, a good old proper authentic Italian. Love the selection of gluten free dishes, a few more dairy free options would be great.

Lovely food. Simple menu, but done well. Caters well for coeliacs. Wine by the glass was very limited but more choice if you are buying by the bottle.

We were placed in the entrance which was very noisy, we asked to be moved and though the waiter was accomodating, the manager seemed to be annoyed. Apart from this the food was very good and the service okay. I am a celiac, so was pleased to have so many choices. Will go again,

Cotto is a friendly authentic Italian, very convenient for supper after a performance at the Old Vic. We saw High Society and dined at 6 and the restaurant was already bustling with a very nice atmosphere.

Great food. Lots of gluten free options and the regular food my companions ate looked good too. I enjoyed my GF lasagna! Would have enjoyed a side salad or vegetable but did not see any option for that. Would recommend!

By far the best Italian food in London, true home cooking and to make it even better, most of the menu can be altered to gluten free, accommodating those with Celiac disease or an intolerance. I have been several times now, each occasion with a different friend and they have all enjoyed it just as much as I have. It is so reassuring to have a safe place to eat when going out for dinner with friends and not subject them to a dietary menu that suits me. I will of course be back again soon :)

Excellent variety of gluten-free food and very welcoming staff. The food was delicious and the service was very attentive, and they didn't worry when we took so long to order as we were talking too much!

Great atmosphere, full on a Tuesday night, good value for money and friendly service. Food was hot and fresh, prompt but not rushed service, fine for a midweek meal.

Before to order we've been ensured that the GF was as big as the normal one. We got a small pizza and also, the GF pizza was too crunchy (it seemed an overcooked biscuit more than a pizza). But we also ordered a calzone and was very very good. If you really want to go, DO NOT order GF stuff, you pay more for less.

We have been to Cotto several times before and really love the fact that our son, who has coeliac disease, can order anything he likes from the menu safe in the knowledge that it will be completely gluten free. The service is excellent and the food is always delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Brilliant gluten free selection. Helpful and friendly staff. We had a large party of 12 and they got the food out efficiently. They were patient and pleasant whilst we waited for a couple of stragglers who were running late. The gluten free bread was lovely and the pizza bases were the best I've had.

The atmosphere was friendly and had an authentic Italian vibe. The pizza I chose was delicious. My girlfriend went for a gluten-free pizza which was wasn't quite as nice as the base was rather too thick. Overall, though, a very enjoyable place to eat.

Absolutely incredible experience for anyone with celiac or a real allergy to gluten proteins/wheat. Almost the entire extensive menu could be done gluten-free and everything tasted great. The owner has celiac disease and came around to personally speak with everyone ordering from the gluten-free menu. The wait staff was attentive and helpful.

This system of reservation is nice and simple. I got the restaurant on time and they had a table ready for us. It's really good that it's standardised, I hope more restaurants come to use this.

Dining at Cotto was a great experience when I visited for a date. We ordered a bottle of the house white because we both liked dry wine, but in truth it wasn't as light as I was hoping. The food was fantastic - the avocado, prawn, smoked salmon and salad starter we had was more than enough to share, and our mains were equally tasty. The decor was nice, the service was friendly, prices were very decent and the atmosphere was fine - it actually wasn't as busy as I thought it was going to be for a Friday night. It was really easy to find as well - only a quick walk away from Waterloo station (or a trip on the Bakerloo line if you're feeling lazy!). Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place.

Scary for Celiac's but great for everyone else. We visited this restaurant because of their expansive gluten free menu and the fact that it was our daughter's (who suffers from Celiac) 10th birthday. In reading reviews, I learned of one customer that had requested a gluten free meal and they received a regular meal resulting in sickness. Because of this previous review, we were very careful in ordering but still received a regular meal. We told the waiter two times at the table that we were requesting gluten free for my daughter. He didn't seem to acknowledge us so I went to him at the bar and told him again. He informed me that he had submitted a gluten free order for my daughter. He later delivered a meal with gluten which he didn't seem to have a clue about. He was not apologetic and really didn't seem to care. It may have been a language issue as his English wasn't the best. In any event, we didn't figure out the dish was gluten free until after he delivered it and we gave it a taste test. It was a pretty scary experience for my daughter. Despite all that, we all enjoyed our meals but you must be extremely vigilant if you are going to order gluten at this restaurant. By the way, the management didn't seem to care about the mistake either. I guess the bottom line is that there are so few good gluten free restaurants that we will have to give it a second try.
