An online booking on the day for lunch for 1! Seated quickly, served quickly & politely & mostly importantly quick to get my Carvery. Also treated myself to pudding which came with minutes of ordering. Pleased as always & will be back real soon

First meal at island pool, opted for the carvery, best one we’ve had!

My family and I visited The Island Pool for my 30th Birthday meal and had a lovely time. The staff were friendly, welcoming and so polite. The food was amazing as always, and there were orders of Carvery and Menu items, also the puddings were delicious! I will definitely be returning and telling my friends about the brilliant time and meal that my family and I had here!

Third visit to carvery found it excellent value for money. Choice of 4 meats and lots of choice in vegetables plus great roast potatoes everything you want all tasty.

Only offer a carvery choice on Sundays. A lot of choice for the carvery but the plate was cold which meant by the time I had got back to my table the food wasn’t as hot as I would have liked.

Been here a few times on a Sunday for the carvery, really good value for money. For two adults and two children we paid £35 for meals and a drink each. Good quality food at a good price.

Food was lovely - plenty of choice. Would have preferred a table by a window or wall, rather than in the open and in traffic routes of other diners. Overall, would recommend the pub for a meal to others.

Food was great and good value, but service could have been better. Also place seemed a bit tired but as we went for Sunday lunch, very happy.

Wide selection of hot tasty food at a reasonable price, in a nice setting with friendly staff. Plus the added bonus that my kids at free! What more could you ask for

Lovely country pub, good food and friendly staff. Carvery is great value with a good choice, puddings are just right without being too big. We had a very enjoyable meal.

The food was ok but the toilets were not clean. There were two toilets and the one had toilet paper all on the floor and the other toilet was broken, as the seat was on the floor, so couldn’t be used! The waste bin was overflowing with hand wipes all on the floor too.

Beautifully cooked food. Excellent choice of vegetables and meats .Goodvalue for money. Would definitely book again. Beautifiul decorated rooms and extremely obliging and pleasant staff.

Helpful obliging staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent and well presented. There was such a wide choice of freshly cooked vegetables as part of the carvery and the desserts were goood portions and superbly presented.

Booked table easy over the net staff friendly and help breakfast was good and even got a runny egg and the kids loved the scrambled egg happy days thank you

This pub has had a make over since the last time I visited now looks very smart. Went for breakfast and it was very good. Lots of choice for English breakfast and well cooked. Staff welcoming. Value

Good food but they said we only had an hour to eat!!! Not good if you are meeting someone you haven't seen in a while 🤔

My wife and daughter were very impressed with the carvery they said it was really tastey. Took a point off as my other daughter ,son and I had to wait a while for our meals but they were fairly busy.We all enjoyed our meals and said we would come again for the carvery. Not a lot of choice on the menu but my wife said the carvery was the best she'd had. Nice atmosphere and friendly,helpful staff.

Restaurant quiet on arrival but soon began to fill up. Warm and cosy , staff very welcoming. Very good lunchtime carvery with good selection of vegetables and meat . Very good value for money.

The family went to Island Pool for breakfast and really enjoyed it. Good selection of food, well prepared and plentiful. The grandchildren loved it all!

A really good Carvery meal with a great selection of vegetables. Good selection of meats too and also possibility of ordering from main menu if desired. Staff helpful and friendly.

The food was excellent, served in good time and a decent portion size.

Food was ok. Nothing special. Found the veg to be overdone and watery. The peas had been under the heat lamp too long and were dry. Have had better and cheaper carverys.

I went for a meal with my girlfriend and the food and service was fantastic.

Genuinely think they you could be slightly more generous with the meat particularly with the upgrade of £1.50 for the large carvery as I literally had like two extra slices of meat compared to the standard size. Other than that it was very nice food.

Restaurant was very hot with a unpleasant smokey atmosphere obviously coming from the kitchen, could do with an air conditioning unit to make it more pleasant for diners! Food menu was quite limited & tasteless when it arrived, & the staff could do with learning how to smile! Toilets & areas of restaurant were mouldy, not a pleasant experience at all. Won't be going back!
