The Horse and Groom - Lincoln

Unfortunately the roast beef that I ordered was so tough as to be inedible. The staff responded promptly to my complaint and the roast chicken replacement was fine. On the handful of occasions we have visited the Horse and Groom this is the first time we have had cause to complain. The slice of beef I received was genuinely awful. G Plaskitt

The desert wasn’t up to standard. The pastry was very hard. You need to tell customers face to face that they have to sign their cars in. We nearly missed seeing a poster and this could have lead to a fine .

We booked on line for 8pm On arrival we were told the kitchen closes at 8.30 and most items on the menu were sold out 😤 The food we got was fine but we dined to the racket of tables being dragged and repositioned 😡

The service of the staff was without exception. They were faultless. The food was brilliant. Without doubt, one of the best places to eat in Lincoln. We have never had a bad experience there.

Family get together. Made sure we had everything we needed. Didn't feel rushed, able to catch up.

Visited sun 11 August pre booked table Chose the beef roast. Both the Yorkshire & roast potatoes where stale / warmed up. The roast potatoes in particular where like cannon balls, This was very disappointing bearing in mind the cost, The waitress insisted all was fresh cooked today but it clearly was NOT However knocked £5 off the total bill Our total for two drinks and two poor meals was £29 poor value for money ! Any chef/ cook is aware of the quality of food being served and should not allow this to happen sadly reflecting on the integrity of the whole organisation Will not attend again Stick to Toby for quality and value Chris Brown

All the members of staff that we dealt with were pleasant. What we ordered was very good and arrived without having to wait an overly long time. I would gladly eat there again and recommend it to family and friends.

Excellent all round. Friendly, professional service - we were made to feel welcome and our custom appreciated. The overall atmosphere and decor was warm and relaxing whilst the food was exceptional. We had the chickpea and spinach burger for a change from meat and would definitely recommend it. The steak pie was also full of very tender, flavoursome steak, lovely gravy and well cooked vegetables. Our first visit and also our pleasure to highly recommend The Horse and Groom in Lincoln. One tip - don't forget to tap your car registration number into their easy computer screen before you sit down. Great system.

Great staff can be busy but need patience worth waiting

Good food and good service. The menu offers a good choice and is very good value. Don’t forget to try the cream brûlée’s pudding it’s the very best

First time I’ve been to the Horse and Groom. Absolutely loved it. Great food, lovely staff and brilliant atmosphere.

The pub has a wonderful atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door. Staff are very polite. Beer is very good. Food is fantastic. Service, second to none. There is absolutely nothing not to like about this establishment. Wish we were in Lincoln for a few more days. Brilliant place.

Sunday lunch was on the main good. But vegetable portions were risible. One carrot and one and a half potatoes. Little mash,mange tout and cabbage ? were insufficient. Need to order extra veg

Good choice and really enjoyed the food. Only thing was getting charged for a bottle of wine which we didn’t have.

sat outside and even though its next to the road, the patio area is so lovely you don't notice the cars!

Great food. Only observation was music levels. I had a guest with a hearing aid and the sound level made it difficult for him to hear our conversation.
