Service was very good, but we ordered lamb and beef and were very disappointed with the quantity for the price. The 2 people who had beef only got one slice each and the 2 that had lamb had hardly any lamb on the plate, the quantity of vegetables was also very small on all the meals. The food tasted nice but I wouldn’t class it as good value for money

Always love returning here whenever we visit Lincoln , a really gem away from the usual high street restaurant chains. Great place, food and service

Very well presented pub/restaurant everywhere was clean and tidy. Staff friendly and efficient. Menu not overly extensive but reasonable choice with extra"specials". Price reasonable. Enjoyed evening.

A very friendly and warm atmosphere. Plus the food was just amazing. Prices reflected the quality of the place and food as a whole. Would recommend and would definitely go back.

Arrived to find out they’d ran out of chicken and beef (it’s a Sunday so was expecting a roast). Settle for a pork roast which includes SEASONAL vegetables, roast potatoes, stuffing, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. It comes out and all that is on my plate is some cauliflower, mashed potato, roast potato and the leftovers of pork. I asked the server about the Yorkshire’s and stuffing and was told they’d ran out of stuffing and forgotten about the Yorkshire’s so she went to go and get some which didn’t arrive till I’d almost finished my plate which would have gone cold had I waited. Overall I definitely would not recommend.

Good food as always but poor service spoilt the night. Having finished main course we were asked if we would like to see dessert menu, which we replied we would. It never appeared despite the same waitress visiting the table to ask about more drinks and bringing the bill so we paid up and left

We tried three times to eat in here as walk ins but it was always fully booked so we booked in advance thinking it must be nice food as it seemed popular, how shocked were we, portions are miniscule and greasy, had bigger starters elsewhere, make sure you have food at home for when you get in as you will still be hungry, it wouldn't cost a lot to put a few vegetables on the plate, and since then reading other reviews it appears many have said the same.

It’s a while since we last visited but I have to say it was very good. As it is a Sunday we opted for a roast dinner and very glad we did. Definitely worth a visit in my opinion.

The food was very tasty and well flavoured. They were able to provide gluten free food for my husband which was good. On the downside the room wasn’t warm enough and the drinks are a bit pricey.

Appeared to be under new management but the service was still good. The choice of food was limited as they had run out of some choices but what they had was good.

Restaurant was as always clean and staff very friendly. It was very busy and the noise level was high. No ones fault but portions seemed smaller and vegetables which where usually bought separately were put on plate. We enjoyed the meal but went else where for coffee so we could chat

Excellent service, excellent food. Only criticism was that the restaurant was somewhat cold inside (it was a very cold day), so feel they need some extra heating in the winter.

Table booked for Sunday evening. Had Sunday roast food was only just warm only veg on the plate were 3 roast potatoes and a mound of green beans. Had chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert. Was told it would be warm. When it came it was cold and hard. Met some friends here we hadn’t seen for a while quite disappointing.

Called for a call pre-cinema meal. A very warm welcome with coyrteiys and efficient staff. A very tasty charcuterie board for starters. Like so many other places, I’m not sure the chef understands “ medium to well done “ steak”. Started off very acceptable, but was very rare in the centre. Fish was excellent

I had a Sunday roast. The belly pork, roast potatoes and yorkshire was nice but the veg was shocking. Very little and it in small cubes like a soup mix plus we had to wait about an hr. Royal William and The Duke were much better

Place was clean. View from the window was good. On a warm day it would be pleasant to eat at an outside table. Limited choice of menu. Music was too loud to have a good conversation. Burger on the menu was good. Steak was a bit to chewy, with too much fat and gristle.

Very good service and good food too. We had a couple of late arrivals, which they were sensitive to. The food was great and the price good value. The wait was a little bit on the long side but that is a minor quibble really. Overall, really good experience.
