excellent food wine and atmosphere - there was a lovely log fire burning too which added to the atmosphere. All the staff were friendly and efficient - will return soon!

This is a brilliant little pub Excellent food, Excellent Service and friendly staff with a great atmosphere had a lovely night I highly recommend and will return !!

Excellent experience from start to finish and food arrived hot. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff very easily accommodated my wife's requirement for gluten free.

It was a Really Nice Steak and staff were friendly. The pub is in a nice setting and the service was really good. Would definitely go again

Lovely good value food in a nice environment with very friendly staff. We can certainly recommend the braised beef main coarse which was a real plateful and very tasty. The festive draught beer was also very nice but probably not available for much longer!

Great food and attentive service. Would be even better if the menu changed periodically or there was a ‘specials’ board. A more interesting wine list would be nice too. Still has to be one of the best eating places for miles.

Fantastic meal. Nice staff. The food was freshly prepared and presented well. Both starters amd main meals were tasty and the portion size were great.

We had a very nice meal overall although we didn't have a lot of space as our table was in a corner. We enjoyed the food which was fairly expensive in comparison to other similar places nearby, but very nice so worth the extra money. The service was very good and staff very pleasant.

Brilliant food, excellent atmosphere, great service. Lovely place for a romantic dinner for two. We arrived early, and staff were happy to accommodate us straight away. Will definitely return.

Lovely meal, not busy coz it was a week night. An eatery for the locals and more. Great selection of gins. Needs more whisky varieties.

Be hinds head loads of 'but when last went meal not up to normal standard 'cheese garlic bread slightly burnt and very dry , gammon more fat than meat, fish not very tasty, staff as usual very attentive and friendly so still left tip

Excellent food, excellent service. Food was of great quality and well cooked. Restaurant spotlessly clean and very welcoming with lovely open fire. It's consistently good here - highly recommended

Had another fantastic afternoon at the Hinds Head. My sister was up from the south coast and whenever they visit Chorley and we go out....its poor....they must think there are no nice places in Chorley and we don't know how to cater as a town. Anyway, the Hinds Head bucked the trend (as we knew it would) and it was lovely. All the staff (apart from one...who we were not impressed with and was downright rude) were lovely...young, fresh, helpful, friendly and efficient. Service was great apart from the lass highlighted above who thought that saying 'if we get rid of them on that table then that will free up some space' as the restaurant became busy. I would not mind if we had overstayed our welcome and 'hogged' the table. If she was going to say such a thing it should have been behind the scenes and not within earshot of customers. That said....it was another super visit and of course we will be back. I only highlight the issue over the member of staff so they can sort it....I would say that she does not fit with the 'can do' positive culture of the Hinds Head. Thanks again to Kev and the team.

A very warm welcoming friendly resteraunt were food is of very high standard and cooked to perfection. Would definately reccomend this resteraunt for any occasion. Had a lovely evening

Have been many times before and my latest visit was the same as always. Great food,polite and helpful staff . Will be visiting again soon.

Our first visit. Staff were friendly and competent The food was served promptly, we had a starter and main from the a la carte menu. All four us agreed that the meal was excellent. We will definitely return.

This was an enjoyable visit, we visited for my birthday and the lady who took our order and served us throughout was pleasant and did her best to meet our needs. The food was nice and well cooked, my partner asked for his to be cooked more because he was advised that the meat would come 'pink' it was cooked to his liking and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a different meal which was also excellent and cooked well. The venue was clean, the toilets were well kept and clean. I could not fault this restaurant in any way.

A really cosy ambience on arrival with a real fire and seating area. Plenty of choice on the lunch menu with a set menu and a la carte dishes depending on what you want. Food service was excellent without too long a wait and the chicken with chorizo dish was delicious and full of flavour with plenty of chorizo and was piping hot. Very filling so just had coffee. One of the group had chocolate fudge cake, a very generous portion, but not a morsel left on the plate which is testament in itself! The whole feeling of the restaurant is welcoming with lovely decorative touches.

Great atmosphere, lovely staff...organised, efficient and friendly. Open fire, intimate dining, lovely ambiance generally which is enhanced by the incoming Christmas theme. Another lovely visit to the Hinds Head. Full marks to Kev and the team.

Excellent meal from the lunch menu. I had fish and chips and my wife had Cajun chicken baguette. Friendly staff and good service. Always have a good choice of cask ales.

Enjoyed a good Sunday Lunch. Had Poato & Leek soup, followed by Roast Beef which was well presented. Servicep ce was a little slow, but good friendly staff

As always, efficient and professional service and excellent food served in relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. We cannot commend too highly - along with others we have taken to experience what the Hinds Head has to offer.

I had the fish pie, and it was very tasty. And the rest of our party enjoyed theirs too. Definitely worth a visit. Lovely little pub.

Another excellent meal at the Hinds Head, I would recommend the vegetable stir fry. Staff very efficient and atmosphere great. I would definitely recommend visit.

Food was excellent, but the place was a bit noisy for my tastes, would give it another try though. Soanish Hake recommended as is the Lamb Henry

After being seated & having got the menus we waited about 15 mins for our order to be taken. Service after this was very good - however my starter of tempura veg was quite raw & with virtually no tempura at all. Now I know what tempura is & this was just too minimal...... so I had no starter as it was sent back - an alternative was offered but as my husband had finished his starter I declined. My husband enjoyed the duck dish he had - my chicken risotto less so .... very rich... but thank-you we will be back ... A pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant & quite "buzzing"......

Excellent meal. Will be visiting again. The menu and service was very good. The restaurant when we went in at 6pm was quiet but by 7pm was quite busy.
