The Fountain at Clent

Received a very warm welcome and complimentary amuse-bouche. Service was friendly, efficient and attentive during the meal. The food was exceptional. Even my mum (who can be quite difficult to please these days - if you know what I mean!!) said it was wonderful. Great setting, great service, great food - thoroughly recommended!!

Excellent all round - location, service, menu, food, beer and wine quality, atmosphere, the works. I can guarantee you won't be disappointed, so make sure you get there soon!

Home cooked delicious food every visit. Pleasant & friendly staff. Tiger prawns in tempura batter with chilli dip are sumptuous combine them with melt in your mouth lamb quarter shoulder (or half if you can manage). If you have room for desert you can tantalise your taste buds with a trio of deserts. Value for my money every time.

Excellent food & service. Good value. Only downside liver over cooked - asked for pink & cooked through - cost of meal was knocked off the bill - this was appreciated but we weren't after a free meal!

We enjoyed Sunday Lunch at the Fountain, and it was excellent. Service excellent, food excellent and price very fair. Portions very generous. Would not hesitate to eat there again. Thank you to their staff for a very enjoyable meal.

Very good Sunday lunch with plenty of sides to accompany. Very busy but food hot and drinks regularly topped up. Recommend highly. Good quality meat.

The best steak I have had for ages tender and cooked to perfection.. The sea bass my wife ordered was equally as good. We also enjoyed the choice of deserts.

Disappointed with Sunday lunch , the stuffing was awful and meat tactless. evening meals have always been excellent. Won't be returning on a Sunday lunch time.

Food choice was good. Husband had tiger prawns adapted to how he wanted them cooked. Food could have been hotter was only downside. Service was excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

A favourite place to eat for me. Lovely atmosphere and great food, friendly staff and relaxed, efficient service. A popular place so its best to book in advance!

We had booked a table of four for 6PM Saturday evening, the previous week and just as well we did as the Restaurant was well attended. The pre-booked bottle of Prosecco -was well chilled and waiting for our arrival. Printed on the menu was a welcoming address to our group personally -what a lovely touch. The waiter was charming and served us well throughout the meal. I chose The home made falafel which came with a wonderful tangy yogurt , mint and coriander dressing which was gorgeous. This was followed by the Queenies Felix- Pan fried scallops with smoked bacon, white wine, fish stock, parsley and cream, accompanied by rice. Accompanied by a dish of fresh vegetables, dauphinoise potatoes and chips. The vegetables were fresh and vibrant. I did steel the odd chip and these were perfectly cooked. - fluffy in the middle and crisp on the outside. The whole experience was fabulous and without doubt, the best meal I have had in a very long while. Will definitely be back again.

Excellent quality food and service. I have visited 5 times now and always been impressed. The slow cooked lamb shoulder is a must try but bring your appetite!

A lovely welcome from all the staff and the food was outstanding.We had our own personalised menu with lots of choice. Couldn't fault the food 10/10.

We go regular, and that is because, the food and the staff are first class. We would recommend the Fountain, also that you book in advance.

I WANTED TO TAKE MY WIFE SOMEWHERE SPECIAL FOR OUR 52nd WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, MY DAUGHTER RECOMENDED THE FOUNTAIN AS SHE HAD BEEN THERE A FEW TIMES AND LOVED IT. I MUST SAY WE WERE VERY PLEASED SHE DID AS THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT SO WAS SERVICE, AND THE SETTING WAS PERFECT. WE WILL RETURN AGAIN.

The Fountain has a lovely atmosphere. We were very well looked after and the meals were lovely. We have recently had a Sunday lunch there which was really good. Will definitely return.

As always the greeting, the staff, the food and the setting are excellent. The food is always really excellent. we have yet to have a bad meal at The Fountain

We had a lovely meal here - it is not our first visit and as usual Great food ( with a wide choice of meals) , excellent service - professional and friendly - a lovely evening all round.

Superb food and place. Whilst service was very good as usual, the staff were not the most cheerful on my last visit but this was a one off. Keep smiling!

A warm welcome and taken to our reserved table although we arrived an hour early. Excellent food and helpful service. I live in Bristol and my friends came from Stoke on Trent. The Fountain is a good halfway house and we will visit the Fountain again. Only slight problems: Limited parking spaces and overcrowded

1st visit for a few years.Pleasantly surprised - excellent service,house wines,welcome and the general atmosphere. Food was absolutely brilliant.Will most certainly go back.Only place that cooks swordfish properly!

Went with friends to celebrate my husbands birthday.couldnt fault it. lovely food,attentive friendly staff. the choice of 3 small puddings is a great idea. Hadnt been there for quite a while as we have a good choice of restaurants locally but will definatelt be going back again soon.

The service, food, and atmosphere was great. A lovely independent pub which I will absolutely return to. The site recomended booking ahead and I was glad that I did as it is clearly a pretty popular spot with most if not all tables taken. A really lovely touch was my name was printed on the menu that I was encourage to take home with me :-)

Lovely pub, very welcoming and extremely good food...delicious. Would highly recommend the pub, great for a catch up with friends, birthday celebrations or family meals.

Fabulous meal, the service is always very good and we all had a very enjoyable time. They serve an excellent range of real ale too.

Menus were individual named which is a nice touch, food wonderful, very good portion sizes. Tables were a little bit intimate (i. e. squashed in) but overall very good. Will go again

Over 15 years since last visited, but even better. Ambience & service excellent, food delicious & plentiful, overall cannot be faulted. Make sure you book earlier as its reputation for quality & value do precede it.

Good quality food and service a real favourite of ours. However -menu could do with updating as it seems to have been the same over several years.

We were taken for a meal by a friend and so enjoyed the meal, we invited some friends to join us and once more we were all thrilled with the experience and it will not be our last visit.

Fantastic tiger prawns for starter, it's the only starter I order here. Only downside was the temperature was far too hot & humid inside the restaurant

Lamb fell apart, I only needed my fork to cut it! Staff can't do enough for you, there was so sweet to my little girl!
