From the start you feel looked after. Easy booking, excellent welcome, helpful attentive staff, quick service, absolutely gorgeous food - every detail covered to allow for a super dining experience. Cannot wait to go again

The best steak I have had for ages tender and cooked to perfection.. The sea bass my wife ordered was equally as good. We also enjoyed the choice of deserts.

Food choice was good. Husband had tiger prawns adapted to how he wanted them cooked. Food could have been hotter was only downside. Service was excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Received a very warm welcome and complimentary amuse-bouche. Service was friendly, efficient and attentive during the meal. The food was exceptional. Even my mum (who can be quite difficult to please these days - if you know what I mean!!) said it was wonderful. Great setting, great service, great food - thoroughly recommended!!

Home cooked delicious food every visit. Pleasant & friendly staff. Tiger prawns in tempura batter with chilli dip are sumptuous combine them with melt in your mouth lamb quarter shoulder (or half if you can manage). If you have room for desert you can tantalise your taste buds with a trio of deserts. Value for my money every time.

Lovely food but disappointing choice of starters. Slightly expensive for starters and desserts. Table in front of door meant we were overshadowed by large group at bar and cold draughty when people left door open. Having said that we all felt food we had was delicious

Excellent food & service. Good value. Only downside liver over cooked - asked for pink & cooked through - cost of meal was knocked off the bill - this was appreciated but we weren't after a free meal!

I WANTED TO TAKE MY WIFE SOMEWHERE SPECIAL FOR OUR 52nd WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, MY DAUGHTER RECOMENDED THE FOUNTAIN AS SHE HAD BEEN THERE A FEW TIMES AND LOVED IT. I MUST SAY WE WERE VERY PLEASED SHE DID AS THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT SO WAS SERVICE, AND THE SETTING WAS PERFECT. WE WILL RETURN AGAIN.

We had a lovely meal here - it is not our first visit and as usual Great food ( with a wide choice of meals) , excellent service - professional and friendly - a lovely evening all round.

We go regular, and that is because, the food and the staff are first class. We would recommend the Fountain, also that you book in advance.

We had booked a table of four for 6PM Saturday evening, the previous week and just as well we did as the Restaurant was well attended. The pre-booked bottle of Prosecco -was well chilled and waiting for our arrival. Printed on the menu was a welcoming address to our group personally -what a lovely touch. The waiter was charming and served us well throughout the meal. I chose The home made falafel which came with a wonderful tangy yogurt , mint and coriander dressing which was gorgeous. This was followed by the Queenies Felix- Pan fried scallops with smoked bacon, white wine, fish stock, parsley and cream, accompanied by rice. Accompanied by a dish of fresh vegetables, dauphinoise potatoes and chips. The vegetables were fresh and vibrant. I did steel the odd chip and these were perfectly cooked. - fluffy in the middle and crisp on the outside. The whole experience was fabulous and without doubt, the best meal I have had in a very long while. Will definitely be back again.

Excellent quality food and service. I have visited 5 times now and always been impressed. The slow cooked lamb shoulder is a must try but bring your appetite!

Superb food and place. Whilst service was very good as usual, the staff were not the most cheerful on my last visit but this was a one off. Keep smiling!

A warm welcome and taken to our reserved table although we arrived an hour early. Excellent food and helpful service. I live in Bristol and my friends came from Stoke on Trent. The Fountain is a good halfway house and we will visit the Fountain again. Only slight problems: Limited parking spaces and overcrowded

We were taken for a meal by a friend and so enjoyed the meal, we invited some friends to join us and once more we were all thrilled with the experience and it will not be our last visit.

Menus were individual named which is a nice touch, food wonderful, very good portion sizes. Tables were a little bit intimate (i. e. squashed in) but overall very good. Will go again

As always superb service, my most favourite eatery, celebrated my 40th there and was proposed to by my partner. Many more happy memories to be had. Absolutely love this place !!! Food amazing !!!

Over 15 years since last visited, but even better. Ambience & service excellent, food delicious & plentiful, overall cannot be faulted. Make sure you book earlier as its reputation for quality & value do precede it.
