The Fountain at Clent

We absolutely love The Fountain and will be sad when we move up North! We had the prawns - battered, as always and they were fantastic, as always! Both had the beef wellington and genuinely everything was so tasty - the chips, dauphinois taties and the veg! Portion sizes are a little better now, even though they are amazing, too many chips and potatoes before - still stuffed as a pig by the end of the night with no room for dessert 🐷 Could only recommend higher if I didn’t want it to be so busy that I couldn’t book a table!

My friend & I had a lovely lunch there yesterday. We ordered from the Pre-fix menu. We both had the Tagliatelle and it was delicious. There was also a steamer full of fresh veg, dauphoinis potatoes and chips😀🍴 We finished off with Cheesecake and Creme Brulee, left feeling very full and very satisfied, we will return😀

From start to finish the owner and staff were attentive, friendly and ready to help with any need. The food was extremely good, well presented, arrived quickly and excellent value for money. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. We will be dining again soon!

Really good, good food, good service, good staff, good environment

Having organised a group walking over Clent Hills we needed a meal to complete the day, 19 of us in all. We are a group who have experienced various restaurants between us so I needed somewhere they will deliver good food and the Fountain did that so well. Everyone made a point of expressing their delight for the food. The staff complement the experience well with warm, welcoming service. The group liked it so much we booked the Skittles alley straight away!

Well. Where do I start. Brilliant food. Brilliant staff. Brilliant value for money. If you have never been here you obviously don’t like great food. Say no more.

We had a lovely meal. The chicken chasseur was delicious.

This was a family meal. The service was excellent- friendly and efficient. The food was great. I know that this restaurant doesn’t get many young children, however a clearer kids menu with starters and desserts to accompany the ‘price fix’ menu might be something to consider. Although our little one enjoyed his ‘pizza’ and ice-cream after sharing bits from our starters.

Excellent food, lovely atmosphere and welcoming staff. I had the lamb pot roast which was superb and melted in the mouth. The Prix Fixe menu for early evening dining was extremely good value.

Went for Sunday lunch menu, have been many times before on an evening but this was our first time on a Sunday lunch time. Spot on food as always, good service and just right portions. They only criticism is that the drinks are always expensively priced in our opinion.

Saturday lunch. It was busy but not packed. Service was friendly & efficient. Food good and reasonably priced. Very enjoyable - come here about twice a year when visiting relatives and always good.

The food was ok, the service wasn't. Staff were slow to help elderly people get seated. We were rushed to order our food for both courses. We were asked to have black pepper on our meals before we'd had all of the vegetables. A sarcastic comment was made by a staff member about having to come back for our dessert order. The birthday flare was meant to come out with desserts, it didn't. Staff behind the bar were much nicer. I felt rushed and a bit stressed because waiting staff were hurrying us. It wasn't the relaxed meal I hoped for.

We decided to visit for a birthday and always have fantastic food. Sadly the service just wasn’t the same as it was with me having to ask for items which I would never normally have to. One course was also brought out incorrectly which resulted in all of us eating our food before his new meal was brought out. Such a shame as this place is one of my favourites!
