the Fountain continues to impress me with every consecutive visit, as a none meat eater the selection of vegan and vegetarian food is of an exceptionally high standard, the goats cheese starter I had on my most recent visit was nothing short of magnificent, the waiting staff are professional and attentive, I really cannot find fault at all and hope I never can.

Great food as per each visit, bit chaotic with several staff attending to table each asking the same question as the one before, not a complaint as best that way and not waiting an eternity for a waitress. Food and drink were prompt.

Welcoming with really friendly helpful staff. Love the food- particularly appreciate the vegetables / chips/ potatoes for sharing at the table. Thank you. X

Our food as always was perfect my beef just fell off the bone. The vegetables cooked in a steamer were ideal but I would have preferred more choice in potatoes. We had between the four of us a bowl of untouched chips but were given more dauphinoise potatoes. It just seems a waste not to ask. The bill was a little complicated between four of us having the fixed price menu and some supplements added. But in all we had a wonderful lunch .

It took the edge off a nice Birthday with average food. Been before and food was much nicer. The table was ready and nicely laid out with personalised menus, although very cramped and restaurant very busy for an early sitting, very friendly service. It felt like we were being rushed to clear the table for a later sitting, no time between courses. Main meals were brought out within seconds of the starter being cleared. Food appeared to have been kept warm or pre-cooked, the dauphinois potatoes were more like mash, lamb was tender although the sauce had no flavour, had to add lots of seasoning and sauce. A little disappointed.
