First time here, booked for my wife's birthday lunch, following a recommendation from a friend. Can not fault this place - superb food, friendly and prompt service, good prices and nice atmosphere. This is how to run a top quality pub. Its a 22 mile drive from home, but I'm already planning my next visit - it's worth every mile. We love this place!

A little bit dark at the table, I like to see what I am eating. The food was excellent.

Always have a great meal at the Fountain, as well as the food being excellent it’s the little touches they do that you don’t get anywhere else. Highly recommend!!!

Lunch was much enjoyed but a slight misunderstanding concerning the pudding chosen rather spoilt the over all experience.

One of my favourite restaurants having visited on a number of times, but this visit was not up to their normal standard. We sat at the table opposite the door and it was cold the curtain was constantly open. The food was first class as per but we felt like we were rushed.

Food excellent as always. Quite noisy as a couple of big parties in.

Helpful staff, friendly owner, cosy corner to sit in. Three vegan main choices and the usual wide selection of meat dishes: good quality and generous portions. We’ll be back.

Had a nice lunch but was disappointed that on the pre-fix menu there was a lot of fish and not much meat, having said that my friend and I enjoyed our food. Service as always was good.

We went for a family birthday meal, because the menu changes you get personalised menus as well as a welcome amuse bouche. Service is friendly, attentive but not intrusive. Excellent quality food which whilst not the cheapest is top quality and good value for money

Mushroom stroganoff was awful. Manager and Waiting staff in our face whole time, made very uncomfortable dining experience.

Always enjoy the Fountain. Last meal before we leave the West Midlands, and it was a good one! Had prawns, which were beautifully cooked in batter and the beef wellington, which must be served pink... I would ask, please remove the gut / intestines from the prawns! as not very nice to see, even if they are deep-fried... and the dauphinois portion was a little small for three.

Staff are amazing couldn't more for you, menu was small but food was lush, very small restaurant, seating very close together which is the only down side to the place.
