The Fountain at Clent

On the whole a pleasant Sunday lunch, good service and the food was well presented, however a couple things could have made it far more memorable. I had the traditional sirloin roast, whilst I enjoyed all the accompaniments the star of the show was tough and lacked flavour which was a real shame, I should have gone for the sole which looked very attractive, espying other diners who opted for this they were clearly happy and enthused over the dish, next time. The other disappointment was dessert I had the bread a butter pudding, an all time favourite of mine, this production was more bread than butter pudding, it was flat boring and amongst the most awful b&b pudding I have ever been served, stay clear of this option. The dark chocolate brownie was a revaluation, my wife found it Devine.

Seated promptly. Ordered and served quickly. Excellent food. Really tasty well presented meals. Warning…. Wear loose fitting clothing! Started of garlic, mozzarella and Parma ham was delicious but huge portion. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Nice touch with personalised menus. Food was excellent and service was extremely efficient. As it was a quiet Monday, atmosphere was missing, however we were made to feel valued by the staff. We will definitely go again.

High level of service and food quality, thought the drinks were expensive though, about £13.50 for a Prosecco (small glass), pint of Estrella and a diet pepsi.3rd or 4th visit and look forward to going again.

We keep returning to this little gem time and time again because the food and the service is second to none. Never had a bad meal. Fabulous menu which changes regularly, with the exception of a few favourites. Welcoming staff nothing is too much trouble. Would and have definitely recommended to others.

Superb restaurant, food is excellent as is the choice of Ales and Wines. It can get a bit noisy when it’s busy as it’s a small dining area you can find yourself unavoidably listening to the conversation at the table next to you.
