The Fountain at Clent

This is one of my favourite places to eat ever! Never had a bad meal or service, very friendly staff & food quaility & portion sizes very generous

Service was excellent from start to finish. Good choice of real ales and quality wines. Food was very good indeed. A busy place but a nice atmosphere - lively but not too noisy. We used to visit here a log but haven't been for ages - will certainly return a lot sooner next time.

Fantastic. The staff, the menu, the location, stunning, would highly recommend and will certainly be returning for another beautiful meal. The special little touches for my mother-in-laws birthday were really lovelly.

Good tasty food well cooked - well worth a visit. Servers could be a little more engaging but of course it was a very busy Sunday lunchtime.

Excellent venue. Excellent staff we'll run by the boss. The food is brilliant,potions could be slightly larger. I am coeliac and this condition was very very well catered for by the starter and main. GF options were let down by a very poor Coeliac options on the puddings...this needs lookng at by the owner However disputed the poor sweet choice this place is beyond belief and well worth a visit. We will return.

Great fixed price menu for lunch and good value. Staff were really pleasant and the location was great, we will be returning. Book up though it gets busy!

The ambience is excellent, the welcome friendly and the food outstanding. The dining room was packed on the Tuesday lunchtime and this led to a very long wait before our meal was served, hence the less than maximum rating. The Fountain continues to provide a superb meal in friendly surroundings.

As always perfect service and a really lovely meal - plenty of choice and the amuse bouche is always much appreciated. Would recommend the fountain to anyone , either just for a nice lunch or for a really special occasion.

Food lovely, but always is. Service good, staff polite. It was a bit cold where we were seated though, near a window. Overall a very nice meal.

The food was amazing, quality and quantity. The service was great, very friendly and helpful staff. Could potentially increase the range of ales on offer.

I had the three course Sunday lunch It was ok They have better meals there from the main menu in the week I wouldn't bother going on a Sunday again The staff are pleasant though

The meal and service was exceptional could not fault. However as a veggie it would be Nice to have a few more veggie options. However would certainly use again.

The welcome was lovely. Just the right amount of friendliness from the staff. The service was excellent and the food even better. For what you pay the food is the best value I have experienced. The quantity and quality are unbelievably good. One tiny thing against was the table position. It was cold every time the door opened. (which was frequently). So much so that I could not take my coat off. However this didn't spoil the overall experience too much. I would definetly revisit.

Excellent food, wonderful atmosphere and the service was the best I've possibly ever seen. Very friendly staff and complimentary pheasant Bon Bons from the owner. Would highly reccomend. Good choice of cask ales as well.

My husband was a little disappointed with real ale selection. There was only a choice of two. The food was excellent; well presented and very tasty with plenty of vegetables

Lovely place and staff very friendly food was great and served hot although portion size was a bit on the small size and drinks a bit pricey £4 for a can of Guinness

Friendly staff greeted us, there were well laid tables with the menus printed with our party's name to welcome us, and excellent food with plenty of choice.

You can't fault this place, service is excellent, food is awesome, and always a friendly welcome upon arrival, would highly recommend going here, 10 stars in every department - can't wait to go back

The fountain at clent is always good for an excellent meal not the first time we have been and certainly won't be the last everything was delicious l especially enjoyed the huge king prawns in batter with sweet chilli sauce looking forward to the next time already

First time we had visited this place and we came for a lunch midweek. It was busy but the staff coped well. Food was delicious, coffees were disappointing.

We have been to the Fountain on two occasions recently and found that the standard of service and food to be first class and we would highly recommend a visit During some periods it is advisable to book as it does get fullespecially round weekends Enjoy😀

Politely met at the door. Shown to our reserved table which had a personalised menu, nice touch. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Not rushed between courses, timing was spot on. The food was excellent. A lovely experience, value for money without a doubt. A must return and soon hopefully.

Excellent food an service and not over priced. We both had the house special of lamb and it was gorgeous. I'm booked to return in 2 weeks for lunch and I think I'll try their fish. I think I'd like to work my way through their menu in 2017, now that would be good fun!

Situated in a Great location. Cosy & Relaxing atmosphere. The food is delicious :-))x The staff are friendly & efficient. The service is good. We have been there before & will definitely go again. Highly recommend.

Fantastic as always, our sons 12th birthday and all he wanted was to eat at the The Fountain. Early bird special, great value. Jacqueline, Richard, Russell and team superb as always. Don't miss massive prawn starter and lamb pot roast main!!!!

Pleasant Staff warm welcome, good food all of the party were pleased. One of the party had said that the tables tended to be fairly tightly packed which was correct but I did not find it a problem.

First visit and as per reviews the food and the service were great, will definitely visit again when in the area. Many thanks a happy customer.

We went there for my 65th birthday, food was lovely and the atmosphere great. The staff very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely go back.

Unfortunately we sat near the door on a very cold day with walkers coming in & out for drinks not the Fountains fault!! We enjoyed the meal the food was great the staff worked hard on a very busy lunch time

My wife & I booked for our anniversary being only the second time we've visited the Fountain, but again we enjoyed a lovely evening. We already knew that the food was a little more expensive than your run of the mill restaurants, but it's not difficult to understand why, because neither was the menu run of the mill. The food was all freshly cooked, well presented & excellent. The staff were very friendly, we were served by a young man named Jack who looked after us in a fine way adding to the enjoyment of our special evening, We look forward to returning again soon to the Fountain & wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone

The Fountain was busy when we arrived and the people had not left our table, however after waiting a few minutes with a drink, the let us sit at a spare table whilst we waited for ours. The food as usual, was excellent, we had fish for starters and then cod, steak. beef wellington and sea bass which were excellent. We really enjoyed the variety of vegetables and potatoes and the portions were good. The fountain never disappoints when it comes to food. The staff were efficient and friendly in the right way too! Enjoyable double anniversary celebration meal at this popular venue. Online booking was simple. Good table. Great location, welcoming maitre d, comfortable seating, engaging decor, vibrant atmosphere. Fixed price menu represented very good VFM except for disappointingly bland soup starter option. Wine, not the cheapest on the list, was forgettable. Excellent service slipped between puddings and coffees and coffees and the bill otherwise Attentive with the deserved capital A shown. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the occasion and will recommend and dine here again in the not too distant future.
