A little pricy put food was fantastic... Menu call with your name on which made i you was welcome and the staff where great. Service was excellent...

Had a lovely time with a friend. Catching up on news in a lovely restaurant whilst eating great food. One of our favourite restaurant.

The Fountain never fails. The staff, food and surroundings are first class. There is such a wide choice on the menu something to please everyone.

The four of us loved it. It was the first time for our friends and it was as good as ever for us, we haven't been for a number of years. The welcome, food, service atmosphere were all excellent and great value for money. Congratulations for keeping up your standards. We plan to book again for our next special occasion - it is a bit of a trek for us to visit often - if we lived nearer we would be there every week!!

Taken straight to our table and a drinks order was taken. Ordered our food which was delicious especially the lamb shoulder which was divine. Chocolate brownie was amazing. Overall a wonderful experience. Definitely will be returning.

As good as ever. Just too crowded. Excellent value for money. Service was prompt and attentive. Staff were very jolly. Can’t think of anything else to say!!

Booked Saturday lunch time excellent service ,good value for money 3 courses £18.95 excellent food and plenty of choice to suit all ,nice touch with personalised menus if required ,have been many times and always good would definitely recommend

Delicious food, served by attentive staff. Tables a little close together for private conversation, but still one of our favourite places to eat. Desserts are fantastic too !

I have dined here for many years, and the service has always been friendly and attentive. The quality of the food is excellent, there should be something on the menu to suit every member of the family. Early diners may benefit from slightly cheaper rates, there is a good selection of drinks and cheeses, puddings are yummy, and the signature dish of slow-cooked lamb shoulder should be sampled by everyone at least once in their life!

Excellent food, excellent staff and excellent atmosphere. Always our first choice for eating out. The lamb is the best we've ever tasted and we have eaten at top London restaurants - the Fountain beats them hands down.

Loveley food in a quant old pub. Great value on the set menu. Bit pricey on the al la carte. Only problem is the seating is very tight. I asked for corner table. Which I got. But with people either side you are about 2 ft away either side. Very uncomfortable to be honest. But staff and food are superb

the standard of the food is exceptional and customer service is very professional and second to none, cannot fault my visit in anyway whatsoever, would recommend to absolutely anybody, usually a waiting list for a table but well worth the wait.

Visit the fountain on a regular basis, recently with relatives from Dorset. We all had a very enjoyable evening, excellent food with good service and cosy surroundings.

Fabulous food and service as always and good value for money would highly recommend. Particularly like the pudding option of one or two smaller ones great for people like me who cannot make up their mind.

Just had Tuesday lunch in a party of 4. The place was pretty full when we arrived, but service was quick and friendly and attentive and efficient, we were brought drinks very quickly, order taken a few minutes later, and food turned up equally fast. The food itself was very good, portions were huge, too big if anything, and I couldn't fault a thing. We have been to so many places where, when busy, the service just nosedives in to oblivion, but not here, they clearly know what they are doing.

Food as always was second to none, amazing! Cannot fault this place. Highly recommend!

Pleasantly surprised, outstanding attentive service, reasonable prices too. Food was brilliant including a free appetiser, made our two children very welcome with loads of marshmallows for their hot chocolate....kids portions were huge!

Excellent food, generous portions, Sunday lunch menu is wonderful, very good value for money and a great choice of meals. Only downside lots of tables in a small room so it does feel like you are sat with the people on the next table.

Service brilliant, wonderful atmosphere. Food superb. Also, fantastic value. We have rebooked already! We were made very welcome and the Manager Russell was very attentive.

Very pleasant evening. Attentive staff. Nice environment. Pretty nice food and wine. Portion sizes are far too big. Some niche aspects of the offer are pointless: (very nice) chips AND (indifferent) dauphinois at the same time. Really? Promoting lots of veg is great but not if the way it's done results in a lot of overcooked same tasting veg. Concentrate on less and done better. That said, I'll be going again.

A delicious meal from starter to dessert. The wine we had with our meal was very nice and reasonably priced. The service was exceptional, perfect timing throughout the whole meal.

Had our Golf Society Presentation get together with a beer and Skittles night. Food was excellent and all enjoyed the night.

Our family all enjoyed a wonderful meal with great service. We were all made to feel very welcome and the food and atmosphere was excellent.

What can I say simply perfect as always. I have never had a bad meal here. The prawns are massive and the fillet melts in your mouth. Thanks for another lovely evening 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼Oh and the creme brûlée 🤤🤤🤤🤤.

Went for the festive lunch and as always it was delicious and reasonably priced at £19.95 for three courses. Service excellent and the amuse bouche is a nice touch too

Lovely food & attentive, quick service. Slightly cramped due to the number of Christmas parties but I did book last minute so to be expected.
