Visited many times & always had a superb meal ,as we did this time A very friendly & welcoming atmosphere in this lovely traditional style establishment.We look forward to our next visit.

Very busy little restaurant. Staff friendly and quite efficient. We ordered prawns in garlic, very good, then a roast beef dinner. Unfortunately the beef was tough and we left it. We know when you buy beef joints, you can’t tell if they are going to be tender, so not chefs fault. Accompanying vegetables varied and excellent.

Lovely surroundings. Food was excellent, and the staff, who were mainly younsgters, were so efficient. They certainly know the meaning of good and polite service. Highly recommended.

my most recent visit to the fountain was one of the best i have ever had, tried two of their vegetarian dishes and was extremely impressed with not only the presentation but the flavour sensation, very impressed

Have been here before and again, it did not disappoint. As usual, it was brilliant food, the staff were very attentive and the atmosphere was great. They are doing everything right and are always busy. Have booked next visit.

Perfect evening at the fountain, friendly staff and attentive making a lovely atmosphere. Of course the evening was perfect with amazing food being served , with the only difficulty being which dish to choose!!

Amazing food and good service in traditional surroundings. Good choices on menu. I loved the dessert assiette where you can choose any 3 in mini size - yum! We will be back.

Excellent Sunday roast lunch vegetables cooked perfectly and plenty of meat, cosy atmosphere and good service. Partner had fish and chips and this was really good too, beautiful chips

Lovely restaurant excellent food and service. Only disappointment was location of our table for four in an awkward spot which really was only suitable for a table for two. We had booked a couple of weeks beforehand so were somewhat disappointed.

Excellent service, great atmosphere and fantastic food. Incredibly good choice for Coeliacs. Chips were not gluten free, so chef made some for me - above and beyond! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service!!

Fantastic alround experience, friendly helpful staff. Had steak (I like mine well done) the chef here is one of a very few capable of cooking a well done steak that doesn’t end up dry and chewy. My only criticism is why wasn’t the complementary amuse-bouche (smoked trout crustini) an item on the menu as a starter? LOVED IT!

Absolutely love this restaurant. Excellent value and delicious food, especially the lamb shank. Very generous portion sizes so we always leave satisfied. Would highly recommend to anyone

Had an amazing meal food was outstanding as usual. First time my partner had eaten there. Table 9 was in the worst position and my partner felt squashed in and extremely uncomfortable due to the close proximety to a table behind us. A large party started arriving around 4.00pm their table wasn't ready due to another large party only just leaving. Felt claustrophobic due to them standing in the bar and practically on top of our table! My drink was nearly knocked over numerous times by these customers. They were even encroaching on the space of the table just to the left side of the bar who were eating their main meal. Totally unaware what they were doing!! Waiters tea towels kept sweeping our table everytime they walked past. Luckily our main meal arrived once the large party had been seated. Started eating our meal and a number of waiters stood extremely close to our table talking and using the computer on the wall! This interupted our romantic meal for two! Table totally unsuitable where it is placed especially at busy periods.

Go there about once a month and for special occasions. Wouldn't celebrate anywhere else. Friendly, helpful staff and good variety on menu to suit all appetites

what i require from a dining experience is excellent food and a service to match and i am never ever disappointed with either when i visit the fountain, i visit on a regular basis as i haven't found anywhere comparable.

Once again we had a great evening delicious food, wonderful ambiance, and a very warm & friendly staff ! It’s not our first time here we always bring our Italian friend who loves the place as we do ! Thank you once again Tony.

As always the food is perfect, the staff attentive and the venue is charming.. the only decent restaurant in the Stourbridge area- a job to think who is second!

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent location. The fountain never lets us down. We have been many times and will continue to go. Nothing is ever to much trouble

It was a shame that the two of the orders were wrong and that meant my wife had to wait for her steak to be cooked. Hers came when we had almost finished. Not ideal at all. Proprietor most apologetic but the celebration meal was ruined. Hey ho.

Roast potatoes are always the marker of a good roast, theirs were great and the rest of it was even better. Always guaranteed a good meal.

This is a very easy and clear application to use, a reminder email was sent the day before and comes with rewards too, just perfect.

Wonderful food in a wondeful old country building. Tables packed too closely together and hot food plates have to be passed along by diners. Several people have to move to let one person out for the toilet. It is quite noisey. Staff refer to customers as "Darling" but are not particularly attentive to tables and did forget part of the order.

A fantastic venue as always - very reliable for a friendly welcome, excellent beer and unbeatable food. You never leave ‘hungry ‘ - just ask if you want more and it’s there for you.

Great treat for my lovely partner and my son. Whenever he comes down for a visit this is the only place he wants to eat

Went here on Sunday 4pm for my wife's birthday celebration. Have been here before so we knew how good it is but I have to say that this visit was even better. The service was amazing and we were looked after from the minute we arrived.The staff are all brilliant there and go about their work efficiently and with a smile. Our food was excellent. I had leg of Lamb which was superb and plenty of it along with vegetables of which there were also plenty and the desserts were to die for I had bought a cake to be brought out and this arrived with all the relevent pomp. If you want a treat do yourself a favour and book here.

Excellent meal and service hosts very good and funny lovely welcoming experience bar staff and waiting staff very attentive and nothing too much trouble even did not mind as they were very busy in taking a photo for us

A great place to eat. The food is excellent and the waiting on staff are friendly and efficient. We ordered 2 of the fish cake starters off the fixed price menu, and they were delicious. We had the chicken chasseur and the turkey, ham and leek pie. Both came with a selection of vegetables and dauphinois potatoes as well as chips.my only complaint was that I didn’t have room to try the deserts on offer. There is a great selection of wines, beers and lagers, enough to satisfy even the most demanding pallet. A great venue.

Good food well presented excellent service far better than I expected we all agreed that we will return. Every table was filled and I am not surprised having finish an excellent lunch

Amazing food and service, highly recommend the beef wellington, it is served to perfection. Lovely personalised menus for when you sit down at your table.

Fantastic Food as per usual...been here many times but first review, must say food portions are plentiful and very tasty, service from staff is very good hence why i will always return, the place gets very busy so you need to book asap so you wont be dissapointed ...5 stars from me :)

It was a set menu which I think it's never as good as their a la carte. That said, did was very tasty. Would like to see more 'complete meals' with a variety of potatoes & veg served specific to the meal. A little noisy when children arrived.

We booked a place a couple of weeks as i heard it got quite busy. We were seated straught away and didnt have to wait long before the starters came. The staff and place was warm and welcoming tje food was amazing. Definitley going back
