Food and service excellent, but the decor needs updating, even the older clientele were commenting

Well the fountain is my new local and think I have spent more time here than my new home . The food is excellent and the staff are so friendly and helpful . Here’s to many more visits love this place

Really disappointed tonight with my experience. Had main meal which could have been hotter. Took staff a while to clear the table but on clearing were offered dessert menus which we took however over 35 mins later they still hadn’t returned to take the order in the meantime an empty restaurant became full and despite staff coming into the area looking at our menus they never returned I know this would not have happened if Jaquie was around. We also witnessed people’s food arriving before their table was cleared from the previous course amuse bouché arriving in between starter and main and diners complaining that their drinks order had not been taken. It was a very disorganised front of house tonight with staff stood around and others ‘run off their feet’. Chap taking food orders was new didn’t ask if sauces wanted with steak didn’t know about child meals didn’t take our order correctly very poor tonight will think again before returning.

We visit this restaurant regularly and this is the first time that I would rate lower than 5. We had a early booking and felt constantly rushed to leave our table. Food was good however we did need to send the garlic bread back as it had been burnt to the bowl. No time for dessert as others were waiting for the table. Not the usual experience.

Great atmosphere, staff are friendly and attentive. Food was amazing as always. Highly recommended 👍

Long wait and was charged for something I didn’t have. I had to tell the waitress twice and eventually went to the bar to say I’d been overcharged Won’t be rushing back

The fountain is consistently great! We went for a Sunday dinner and my son loves their roast turkey. My wife is vegetarian but loves they alsways manage to accommodate.

This is a Great old fashion eating place, the food is Fantastic , It has Great Service. A must visit, book well in advance to avoid disappointment

Met up with 6 friends for a meal. The service as always was excellent. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful. Our food was excellent- served piping hot & with a steamer full of fresh vegetables & potatoes. We made room for desserts, again well presented & very tasty. Always a pleasure to eat here. We’ll be back again soon.

Food was gorgeous. It was hot and cooked to perfection as it always is when we dine there. It’s an amazing place with great food, lovely setting and the best staff you could ever wish to meet

Went for a special birthday meal . Food was good however the evening was ruined when the waitress knocked my glass of rose wine over my husband . Only a quiet sorry was given by the waitress. Not a good end to what was supposed to be a special evening.

We had a lovely family meal at this friendly country pub. There is plenty of parking and the pub is easy to find. Staff were all brilliantly helpful and welcoming. Food was served promptly and it was all very tasty. There was a good choice of vegetarian dishes and some vegan. The Sunday dinner menu is very good value for money too.

Lovely place, staff very welcoming and food was beautiful 😊. We'll definitely be going back in the near future, will definitely recommend to family and friends
