Excellent food and service, however, it was very loud due to a large party which spoilt it a little for us.

Have visited the Fountain a number of times and have always found it a welcoming, relaxed place. The food is excellent with plenty of options, but what makes your visit memorable is the staff, who are professional, helpful and friendly.

Hadn't been to Fountain for years.My son and daughter in law gave us a gift voucher at christmas 2019 so we decided to use it.We were so glad we did.From arriving to leaving was a lovely experience. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was amazing we will certainly be back in the near future.

Excellent food and attentive waiters. Second time there and will certainly make this place our top three places to east.

Reliable good in all respects. Food is well cooked & service very good. This is a popular restaurant, so booking is advised. You may be disappointed if you just turn up, although staff do their best to accommodate. As a vegetarian my one small criticism would be that it would be nice to see the options changing a little more regularly. Selection of excellent desserts, along with the possibility to have up to three smaller portions of different desserts mean that it's worth leaving room at the end of the meal....

The Fountain always seems to deliver. So if it does then it is doing the right thing in the right way. Magic Thank you

Greeted warmly by Beth who was very attentive and kind especially as we had elderly Mum with us. She took time and was patient when we have experienced opposite many times in other restaurants. It made a positive change. Food lovely. Very busy but seamless for the diners. Thank you for a lovely quality Sunday lunch

Great booking system, lovely Helpful staff and excellent food and meal.

On our latest visit we ordered shoulder of lamb casserole but received lamb shank .It filled the plate and together with the bland vegetables proved to be a very disappointing main course .We followed with creme brûlée which was very disappointing. I have used your restaurant on many previous occasions and have always been very satisfied with both food and service so you can understand my dissatisfaction

Perfect venue to meet up with our friends, knowing the food and ambience will be up to scratch even midweek.

Spent over £330 for a party of 5. The T Bone Steak was very poor quality and full of fat. The waiter made no attempt to rectify the situation, did not offer to replace or knock any money off the bill. The other 4 meals in the party were excellent.

was amazing the prawn curry was unreal, waiting times great, staff friendly, only down side was the 3 pudding combo where i thought the size of the lemon tart compared to the other two was about half the size.

Absolutely beautiful food from this rather quaint restaurant. We booked this place as my mother-in-law had previously gifted us some gift vouchers (she choose this place from a recommendation off her neighbour). We were still a bit dubious but what a lovely experience, the staff are all extremely attentive and want to make sure that you have the best experience possible, nothing is too much trouble! The decor is that of a rural pub and the tables are presented nicely and the menu even has your own name (taken from the booking) which is a lovely personal touch. Would definitely recommend this to any of our friends.

Food usually excellent. Today the starter (chicken parfait) was up to the usual standard - delicious. However the steamed vegetables were a bit overcooked and the "prawn and vegetable curry" would have been more accurately described as "prawn and potato curry". It comes with rice, plus lovely chips and lovely potato dauphinois, so there was an overdose of carbohydrate! My partner's vegetarian roast was delicious however. Summary: usually excellent, but avoid the prawn/veg curry unless and until they reduce the potato content!

We visit the fountain often, so far never been disappointed, I’m sure if we had problem it would be sorted straight away, highly recommended.
