Excellent meal had steak but could do wth a bit more garnish.ie Mushroom and tomato included. Apart from that a great place with lovely atmosphere .
A local restaurant with city centre flair. I visited with my husband on a Saturday evening for a lovely meal and experience. I had mussels to start, fat and delicious, followed by the cannon of lamb. Husband had charcuterie board and posh burger. My main was modified by chef to make it gluten free. A really well thought through wine list complimented the meal. It is not cheap and cheerful, rather chic but good value. Staff lovely, go and see (but book first).
Amazing service cannot fault, but food was a too salty for my taste i ordered the squid for start and stone bass with asian broth for main
Our party of five received excellent service and attention last night. The menu had a good choice and the food we selected was excellent (especially the rhubarb and stem ginger brulee). I would certainly recommend this restaurant.
We really enjoyed our meal at The Flixton. Great food, excellent friendly service and good value for money too so we will definitely be returning.
The food was fantastic and service was good. We had Sunday lunch and 2 very demanding octagenarians said it was the best they had had in ages! Some people in our party felt it was too cold and personally I feel the decor isn't very appealling but these are minor points really. YOUSHOULD GOTHERE
Lovely restaurant, staff very helpful & friendly. Menu a little limited, but what was on it was good quality. Temperature abit chilly, but was early evening when we went in.
Lovely meal. Great atmosphere. This is our first visit and certainly not our last. We were made to feel very welcome. The food was cooked to prefection.
food very disappointing. Inedible steak. Very tough-one of our party could not even cut the steak with a steak knife. The three other steaks were impossible to chew also. The salmon salad consisted of a piece of fish and mixed leaves - not even any cucumber. The only redeeming feature was the smoked duck starter which was delicious.
3 great courses for less than £25 on Wed pm. Lovely wine on top of that: red served at the perfect temperature, too. Don't know anything else like it in the area. Service friendly, attentive yet unobtrusive. Left feeling very relaxed and very full. It's a no brainer.
Excellent food, great service and more than reasonable pricing. We really enjoyed our meal at The Flixton & we are looking forward to returning soon
Good food, with an unusual dessert combination of prosecco and gin deconstructed cheesecake! Attentive and pleasant service. No loud music to drown conversation. Very nice
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Flixton. Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, great staff therefore highly recommended. Our favourite place to eat in the north west!
Staff are lovely . I had looked on line at the menu and chosen what i wanted however menu had changed on the night which threw me. Enjoyed the meal and the wine. Can we have the moules marinere and butternut squash croquettes back on though 😁 thank you
Amazing experience with tasty food presented beautifully. We will definitely be back to try again. The vegetarian options were also just as imaginative as the meat options
Great food, I had lamb and mint terrine and my girlfriend had the prawns to start. Both were delicious. I had the paella for main which was as good as anything you would get in Spain. My girlfriend had rack of lamb which she also loved. We shared a cheese board for dessert. Overall a great experience, we will definitely be back.
Lovely meal at The Flixton, particularly the very tender steak. We look forward to our future visits and the opportunity to try some of the starters which we missed out on this visit.
This was our first visit to The Flixton. We found everything first class. The staff, the food and the atmosphere. We will certainly be returning.
why they price the steak at £16 95 and then add £3 supplement when are main meal we had £17 to spend other than that it was nice
We went there because it was recommended and it turned out to be a good recommendation! The food was excellent and ample; we will go there again! The only negative was slow service i.e. there seemed to be only one waitress. She was very nice and friendly but needed an assistant on a busy Saturday night
It was just a very well prepared and presented meal with a lot of unusual and interesting touches, with a modern and comfortable ambience overall.
Perfect, it's always perfect. Zero faults found. Food to die for. Superb wine. Service is great. Urmston has been crying out for a place like this with such reasonable prices for the quality.
This was the first time my wife and I had dined at this restaurant. It was her birthday and so we chose to have a celebratory meal there. We did not inform the personnel of the reason for our visit but we were not disappointed. The food was brilliant. We had a main and dessert course. The Menu was nicely varied; I chose the 8oz encrusted lamb chump chop and my wife the fig stuffed Pork chop; both were cooked to perfection. We finished off with a pistachio ice cream and panacotta dessert infused with root ginger....delicious. Will definitely be returning and to cap it all, we were pleasantly surprised by the bill as we were early birds. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Lovely food and attentive service. Atmosphere very pleasant. I really enjoyed my T bone salmon and except for small central bone which was to be expected there were no others.
Staff were very attentive but not intrusive, the food was first class there was an excellent atmosphere, all in all the four of us had a really good time
Lovely meal, food excellent and we were served by such a polite attentive young waitress whom is a credit to the establishment. To be highly recommended.
Beautiful Chateaubriand with bottle of wine, staff observant and not intrusive. Lovely relaxing atmosphere, overall a very enjoyable evening to celebrate my "big" birthday. Definitely recommend !!
Excellent service from staff, food also excellent, a great night out. Special treat for elderly relative who received special attention. Wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend.
