The whole meal was delicious. I had the cream of parsnip soup to start and my partner had mushrooms. I followed the soup with rib-eye steak which was tender and well cooked. My strawberry mess dessert looked a picture. Altogether an excellent evening. Good service and the wine was excellent

We had a wonderful evening at The Flixton. It was our first time at the place. The space and decor was beautiful with facilities for disabled diners. The food was top notch and excellent selection on the wine list. Staff were fabulous, too.

Food was absolutely amazing, everyone in the party had a beautiful meal. The restaurant was very quiet but staff did spend a lot of time in the back, so had to be called when needed. We also loved the playlist of music, it created a lovely atmosphere

The food was excellent. The staff were particularly helpful, especially when we had a problem with one of the meals. No fuss, just sorted in a professional manner. We will definitely return.

Food was cooked and presented well, however our steak was very salty and had a grill cleaner smell! Although the waitress passed on this feedback to the chef we felt that the customer service recovery could of been better? Unfortunately this has now put us off going again.

My partner had said he would like to go to a fish restaurant so I googled restaurants in Urmston & found the menu @ The Flixton interesting so off we went I had the sea bass & my partner had the cod, well how delicious both dishes were, piping hot & so tasty, the service was excellent so I will definitely be going back.

The food was excellent, well presented and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Just about the only thing which disappointed me (slightly) was the rather limited wine list. What we had was fine, and not expensive, but I'd have preferred a wider choice. Hopefully, if this restaurant gets the success and clientele it deserves, this can change.

My starter was not cooked fully, my daughter starter was missing some cheese. My pork chop was a little gamey and the service was slow. Lamb very raw. Disappointed as we went last year and it was lovely. We wont be going back, this was a treat for out silver wedding anniversary and it was not good.

The food was tasty but the service wasn't great last Saturday evening. The waitresses were friendly and apologetic but it seemed to be a series of things that needed apologising for; waiting an extended period of time after being seated for menus, wine being spilt and not cleared from around wine glass, the door of the restaurant not closing properly! It's a shame I don't understand why when they steve such good quality food they let themselves down with crass marker pen offers scrawled all over the front window and curly stained paper menus. Just needs a bit more attention to detail to the environment and service to match the quality of the food.

We had eaten there once before and it was really busy and the food was excellent. This time there were only a couple of other tables so less of an atmosphere. We were out with parents and in laws and one of the starters was missed and didn't arrive until everyone else was finished. Also, there was an issue with one of the fish dishes not tasting too fresh. Everyone else enjoyed their meals although sadly not as great as the first time we went.

Nice ambiance and great service, staff very attentive. It half full on a mid-week night because of the January offer. Overall the food was mixed, for starters we had the bon bons which was tasty and big portion, also the thai chicken cakes, which was small and fairly tasteless. For mains this carried on, the ling, large and flavoursome, but the pork chop was small, expensive and flavours did not work well, my partner said the black pudding was just grit on the plate. We didn't have dessert. Overall I feel this restaurant is extremely expensive, even with the offers, for example a similar style family run restaurant in Didsbury offer mid-week offers for £15 for 2 courses with minimal supplements, however here it is £19 with a lot of £3/£5 supplmements, and personally I feel not as good quality. As a local I am happy these restaurants are now in the area and want the place to do well, and think with a few tweaks it will be perfect!

Four of us enjoyed a 3 course meal for my husband's birthday. Every dish was beautifully presented and was delicious. We were alerted as we arrived to the lack of waiting staff, and since the restaurant was busy, we realised that the the one chap running the front of house had a real challenge on his hands. However, he managed brilliantly, calmly, and definitely contributed to the good vibe. We took full advantage of the 50% off deal running throughout January, but we all agreed that we would return at regular price, too. Thank you 'The Flixton' for a thoroughly enjoyable celebratory night.

This was the latest of many visits to the Flixton, and as always it was an excellent meal. Our friends were visiting for the first time and were equally impressed. The pies in particular are superb, and the whole meal was well cooked, well presented and tasty. Full marks too to the friendly and helpful staff Thank you!

Very good overall. Side dish of onions undercooked, practically raw when served to us. However, overall the rest of the meal was beautiful, just a shame about the side dish.

Visited with niece and nephew for a New Year catch up. New menu now in place which was very enjoyable. Only negative comments were that the apple and cobnut crumble dessert was a cold dish and we expected it to be warm and the coffee latte was lukewarm. The 50% off food offer on the al a carte menu is very enticing especially given the excellent quality and presentation of the food and I hope many more people make the most of this offer. A very enjoyable evening

An unexpected treat. Walking in the signage was a little dated, despite being new and the decor was ok. However the food was very good particularly the pork stroganoff. Pork is a hard one to get right and this was lovely. The soup was simple but delicious and nice in texture.
