Fantastic food and great service. We will be back. The menu is fab. We were so lucky to have a fab day in the sun too.

Amazing seafood food, which was modern, fresh and delicious. The service was first class and the surround are really lovely . Any lover of seafood must go!

Hadn't been to this Restaurant before, but we enjoyed our meal immensely, the quality of the food & the service was excellent, will definitely be back.

Great menu, could have eaten it all! Staff were present but not overbearing. You guys need to move to a bigger space though, it was a little noisy at times. Still, extremely enjoyable and will definitely be back.

Delicious food and great service. Have only ever been at lunchtime but its definitely worth a visit. Excellent value set lunch menu with daily specialson offer but more extensive a la carte is also available.

Excellent meal. First class service. Menu was very good with a varied selection of dishes. Portion sizes were just right for me (female ). Will definitely visit again.

Absolutely perfect. Great service from brilliant staff who were very kind to my mam who wanted small portions and GF options - nothing was too much of a problem. And the fish was fresh, tasty, beautifully cooked. For such an unassuming wee spot beside the underground, this is a piscy gem!

Excellent food and service, large choice of seafood. Good wine list, reasonably priced.Very peasant surroundings, easy to get to by subway or car, large car park next door. Recommended for lunch or dinner.

Very relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff. Efficient service and excellent food. Situated near underground, therefore 3 min into town for choice of transport. Unusual fish dishes, which is excellent for a fish restaurant

Delicious food although quite expensive .great service , restaurant was empty and we were given seats right next to kitchen , my view was the kitchen door 🤔🤔🤔. I phoned asking about parking and was tol I could park in the car park at subway , you can park there but minimum payment was £ 5.49 as it is only a park and ride facility

A World class experience. We travel extensively to many countries, the food and service would outclass many so called fine dining restaurants. An absolute bargain. We would not hesitate to recommend it .

Delicious, beautifully presented meal as usual. Attentive staff, no loud musak - great. Easy access as restaurant is opposite doors of subway station. Bought fish from the amazing choice in the shop .

Excellent food, service and table. Portland Crab starter delicious, fish stew and grilled sole also excellent. Recommended matching dessert wine for the kaffir lime/pineapple topped it off. Great experience and will definitely be back.

Extensive lunch menu and food outstanding. This was my first visit and I was not disappointed. Staff friendly but not over attentive. Based on this experience I will be back.

Excellent food, excellent service. In addition, the lunch/pre-theatre menu is superb value for money. We had a Spanish friend with us who loves fish and he was very impressed with the quality of the food and cooking. We will be back.

Food excellent but coffee was brought to the table before we had finished the dessert course. Consequently it was on the cold side when we eventually got to it. Minor point but quite annoying at the time.

The meal was delicious - we had tasty crab, beautifully fresh scallops and wonderful monkfish and seabass, all accompanied by a warm welcome! Will definitely be coming back!

Visited on a quiet Wednesday night. Stunning food and service. My wife's crab starter was a revelation. We will certainly be back for more. Highly Recommended!

I love this restaurant. Great pre theatre and a la crate menus and the only problem is deciding what to choose as it all sounds delicious. Pre theatre is great value at £16.50 and can thoroughly Recommend the Thai shrimp starter. Service good and not intrusive.

If you enjoy fish you will love the Fish People's Café . The three guys that I was with each had haddock and chips and all three commented that the fish just melted in their mouth . I chose the whole lemon sole on the bone . It was very fresh and tasted fantastic . Beatifully cooked . We were there for lunch and there was a special lunch menu . The dinner menu offers a far wider selection of fish which looks just as appetising .

Delicious food Moira had the sole fillets baked with King prawns and pak choi, delicious I had the duck a first for me at this predominantly fish restaurant. with attentive staff and a relaxing atmosphere thoroughly enjoyed our food we'll be back.

The Brill special was indeed BRILLIANT. Lots of choice on various menus. Lovely atmosphere. It’s a small restaurant so make sure you book a table. Staff friendly and attentive.

Wow, just WOW. I had the 2 course lunch and started with the smoked gravlox. It was wonderful with a nice slice of great bread, creme fraiche, lemon and dill. The smoked flavor was delicate but noticeable. I chose the pan fried sea bass and Caesar salad with fresh anchovies (as advised by the waiter). This was a whole new experience for me, as I had never had a fresh anchovy before. If you haven't either, seek them out now!

Visited on Friday 9th March. Food was amazing. Starters were Portland Crab & Spiced prawn cocktail. Both were delicious, prawn cocktail had loads of prawns. Mains were, the chunky fish stew, tasted delicious, was a huge portion, definitely recommend, the other mains was the scallops with buttered cabbage, again was delicious but portion was quite small. A shared cheeseboard to finish. Bill for two including wine & coffe was in the region of £100. Decor was lovely, staff very pleasant & attentive. Would definitely recommend giving this a try.

We often go to this restaurant and are never disappointed. Beautiful food, fabulous flavour combinations, attentive service and fabulous coffee. Can not recommend highly enough.

As usual, great food, nice ambience and very pleasant staff. The special of scallops to start were top quality, and lemon sole also highly recommended.

Delicious food, great atmosphere, friendly engaging staff, is the least I could say about the Fish People Cafe. The Mustard & herb crusted rare tuna escabeche was fresh, tasteful and devoured. The warm crab cake sitting on a bed of fresh crab elicited an audible groan of satisfaction. The whole tandoori sea bass aroma had us salivating before the fist bite and it didn’t disappoint. The monkfish satay was equally if not more flavoursome and we may have been guilty of scraping every last drop out of the dish. Finishing all of this off with the caramel parfait, sweet, warm soft biscuit and delicious caramel, was perfect. The chocolate tart not any less so. The accompanying wines were on point, we were still eating while discussing dates for our next visit. Just fab!

We had a superb meal here prior to going to the Hydro for a show. We had Lussa ( Jura) G&Ts, Shetland salmon tartare, Barra scallops, Scrabster skate with courgettes, all perfectly cooked, followed by a dark chocolate tart and a cheese board, all washed down with a lovely Pouilly fume . Lovely restaurant and ambiance, great service; as good a meal as we’ve ever had. Recommend and we’ll be back!

Food and service exceptional! Started with shrimp and peanut salad, which had a real spicy kick! Never realised a salad could taste this good... Crispy bass Caesar salad was just as good as the starter. Great food, great value and it’s easy to get to - right beside the entrance to Shields Road Underground station. Can’t wait to go back for more!

Excellent food, well presented. Staff very attentive while being unobtrusive. Enjoyed the fact that music was playing in the background but quietly thus allowing one to have a conversation without having to strain to hear. Would recommend to friends and will return.
