One of my favourite restaurants and definitely the best fish restaurant I've been to.

Food delicious as have been previous visits. Very good friendly and efficient service. Small bottle of prosecco was £8.00 - slightly overpriced !

Food was quite good. Service good. Small restaurant and it was cold wet day and we were too close to the door so it was unpleasant every time someone came in or left.

A delightful place on arrival, but the food failed to deliver what we were looking forward to. We had a special - Lemon Sole with a balsamic based 'sauce' served with Parmesan sweet potato fries. There was little taste of the cheese, they were dry and tasteless. Altogether a letdown considering the venue was recommended to us by two 'foodies'. Alas, as regular visits to Glasgow, we will not be visiting this restaurant again.

Fantastic fish in great setting. Top wine list too. Faultless meal - and I'm not easily pleased! Well worth jumping on the underground and visiting. Well done to all!

Delicious food, delightful staff and great atmosphere! What more would you want? Great! A thoroughly enjoyable evening with friends from Yorkshire who were very impressed.

This is my second visit to The Fish People Cafe. As before, the food was very good and for a Saturday afternoon the place was at about 80% capacity which shows its popular.

Fantastic meal, really worth the visit. Tandoori sea bass was just superb. I know the location does not inspire on first viewing but inside the food and service is first class....go on try it!

Excellent service from the two staff on the night who were friendly, helpful and very efficient.Excellent food nicely presented made for a very enjoyable evening.Wine was pretty good as well.I can strongly recommend The Fish People Café.

This restaurant a little bit away from city centre but very easy to get to as Shields Road subway right outside the door. The food was delicious and staff very friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back thanks

Fabulous food, wonderful wine, super service. We had a fantastic meal. So many options and so, on impulse, I ordered the stone bass with spiced ginger cream - it was beautiful. My partner chose beef bourgingnon and said it was as good as any she’s tasted in France. I’ve previously tried the tandoori sea bass and, from the aroma creeping across from a neighbouring table, I could tell that someone was lucky enough to be trying it on Thursday. Already looking forward to my next visit!

The restaurant is different class. I went with a friend last night for the early evening meal and it was every bit as good as my previous visit. I had been before with my husband and some friends and we all enjoyed it immensely. The food is exceptional in quality, flavour and presentation. The staff are extremely efficient and friendly. If you’re looking for a good quality seafood restaurant I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Fantastic food as always. Great value for money on the lunchtime menu. Cullen skink followed by fresh sea bass with lovely salad. Delicious dessert. Cream ice cream with bitter chocolate sauce and honeycomb. Finished off with coffee and tablet. All for under £25 per person

Friendly service, lovely interior and food was of very high quality - highly recommend the smoked haddock and pea soup. Would definitely go back to this restaurant.

Can't complain much food was great wish thay had more of a beer selection though. Other than that a nice atmosphere and easily accessible from the subway.

Food was outstanding, some different dishes on the menu compared to traditional fish restaurants. Small but not cramped. A nice atmosphere with great staff. Definitely recommend visiting. Just beside the subway so easy to get to from city centre.

Exceptional meal with excellent service the fish people cafe never dissappoints on every level with a warm welcome on arrival and professional friendly service throughout our time spent in the restaurant.

The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, clean and fresh and a favourite of mine and my friends. The food is always delicious and beautifully presented. Three of us were very pleased with the meal and facilities, including spacious disabled toilet. The one disappointment was lettuce with a bit that was mulsh served, when that could easily have been cut off.

I cannot believe I have never heard of the Fish people cafe before. The food was incredible, can’t wait to go back, loved the whisky spray with the oysters. Service was great, amazing place, we loved it.

Service was good, waiter was attentive and very helpful. Food was excellent but portion sizes were very poor for the prices you are paying especially the starters. Would consider returning.

Fish so fresh you could swear it had jumped straight from the sea on to our plates. Attentive staff, would recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Lovely restaurant with excellent, attentive staff without being intrusive...very pleasant ambience and perfectly cooked, delicious seafood...couldn't wish for more...oh!... not as expensive as one would have expected either. For 6 above read 10/10.

Faultless food and excellent well chosen wine list. A real birthday treat. This was our first visit but already planning a return at the earliest opportunity.

Good friendly informed service. Super fish dishes which dominated the menu,of course, although some choice available and desserts and wines were very good. Bit put off by strange situation but perfectly fine design and comfort inside.

Some of the best seafood I’ve eaten, friendly staff, easy location right next to the Shields subway. The oysters in particular stood out, dressed with a Scotch vapor. I will certainly return on my next trip to Glasgow.

Great food & terrific service. Food was piping hot & delicious. Would prefer a couple of extra choices on lunch menu if possible. Will definitely go back again.

The food was very good and thought the restaurant was really cozy. I know I was emerged in my book, as I was alone, but I was suprised over the lack of interest to see how my food was.

Delicious food, excellent service in lovely surroundings. Both special starters were so tasty - smoked mackerel pate and swordfish tartare. I then had the Portland crab linguini and my husband had the tandoori sea bass. Both were delicious. And the home made soda bread was really special. We will definitely return to sample more delights from the menu.

Excellent service. Delectable food. A gem of the Glasgow southside! We had the monkfish tails, dressed crab, tandoori sea bass and the highly recommended stone bass. For dessert we had the chocolate tart and the cheeseboard. Washed down with a gorgeous montepulciano. A fantastic evening! The tandoori sea bass was a highlight for me, the dressed crab was my partner’s favourite.

Always a nice meal and attentive service at The Fish People Cafe. Excellent specials and lovely desserts each time we’ve been. Can’t understand why it’s often not brimming with folk.

Excellent Food. Excellent service. Convivial atmosphere. What more does one want. There were 5 of us there to celebrate a birthday and we all enjoyed it very much. We will be back.

Fantastic intimate restaurant, great service & the food is top class, never fails to please. There are daily specials that make the menu choice ever harder to choose.

Every time we go the menu is slightly different with specials so don't get bored. Fantastic flavours . Service faultless very pleasant servers. Will go back time and time again

Couldn’t fault it! Whole atmosphere was amazing. Food was very yummy and good portion sizes. Staff were very polite and attentive. The smell was wonderful
