Friendly and helpful, good food and pleasant environment, but we had to bring our own baby chair. The review software needs these eight filler words.

We had a wonderful lunch at the Finch's Arms. The food was amazing, the staff were extremely attentive (without being over the top), and the surroundings were spectacular.

Despite calling in advance and being assured that they would be able to cater for vegetarian and gluten free diets, there was a very limited choice. Reception and seating arrangements were a bit chaotic too.

Our first visit, certainly won't be the last. Service and food was excellent, thoroughly enjoyed the busy atmosphere. Menu choices were varied and interesting, portions better than expected and a good choice of real ale.

It's a beautiful pub in a great location. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming and unobtrusively friendly. The food is wonderful and I ate far more than I should! Never at any time did we feel rushed but there was always somebody there when we needed something too. We were a large family party of 12 ranging in age from my daughter of 11 to my father of 81 and we all felt equally welcome and relaxed. Even when my dad (who is somewhat confused these days) wandered into the kitchen for a chat. They didn't bat an eyelid, just helped him out with good humour and tact.

Lovely location, attentive staff and varied and tasty food. Only criticism, starter portions on the small side a little more on the plate would be welcome.

Beautiful food, excellent service and lovely view. The serving staff we happy to change our table, and then rotate it for us so we could both see out of the window. Both meals were delicious.

Easy to book online-set meal reasonably priced- service excellent- we dined in the old bar which is old but without view. The new part has a magnificent view of rutland water. Nice place

The service was a bit brusque. We arrived at 7.30 and told the kitchens were about to close so had to hurry to order the food.. Strawberries were straight out of the fridge and cream watered down.Otherwise food was well presented and good.

We have been to the Finch's before but with a crowd. This is the first time that we were just two. We were well looked after and the food was lovely. We were celebrating a 70th birthday so it was a special treat anyway, made extra special by the staff who were all charming.

We were 40 minutes early for our booking, but made welcome and comfortable while our table was prepared and laid for us. The service was attentive yet relaxed and the food was first rate. We will be back

Lovely setting. Choice of sitting in the bar in front of a nice roaring fire or in the restaurant with views overlooking Rutland Water. We chose the roaring fire as it was a cold wet day, lovely!! We went for lunch ad it was my husband's birthday. The meal choices offered were very varied it was hard to choose. The staff were all very friendly and the food was lovely. I would recommend this restaurant if you appreciate good food and a pleasant atmosphere.

Easy to you. Costs nothing and you get something for it! That doesn't happen that often now does it! I would recommend using this system.

We had a nice meal yet they forgot to charge us on the bill for the main courses and extras.we owned up on paying the bill yet the chap who we delt with was not grateful at all that we did ..I would expect mayb even a jesture of a couple of sweets for free or something but no nothing ...would not own up next time so the bill went from £46 to £113.

Really disappointed. Cold poorly lit resturant. Set menu starter ok but, main and desert a let down. Staff polite but, overwhelmed despite only being a quarter full. Will not go back.
