Lovely food, friendly staff and fabulous views perfect Sunday lunch!
Delicious food, beautiful views and great staff. They catered for our food intolerances and even had a delicious dessert we could eat. The best pub food ever
Great service and excellent food. We will certainly return soon.
Everything was fine but the waiters need more training. Drink orders were forgotten and clearinghouse plates took a long time even though the restaurant wasn't full. Food excellent, drink excellent and ambience excellent.
As always, the food was excellent, the staff very friendly, especially the lad who served us, and the overall atmosphere was great. Well worth a visit.
Marvellous choices for veggies and attentive service. First Class. Will return.
Great food, super location, rather slow service as they were very busy.
Excellent meals.Service was pretty good..Views across the valley added to enjoyment.
This was not our first visit and as always great staff excellent food and fantastic views what more could one want
Thanks for another really good meal. Great staff and lovely atmosphere.
Lovely position, lovely food - popped in mid-ramble, and again in the evening - very nice both times
Disappointing. One meal almost inedibleComplaint not handled well though we were not charged for it when the bill arrived. No explanation, no apology. This visit did not live up to expectations.
Excellent meal and setting of restaurant. Meal served in good time and very hot.
Very pleasant, well mannered staff.Food was very nice. Good dining experience.
Excellent hidden gem just outside of Stroud. Really good honest food and friendly service. A beautiful view back onto Stroud.
Good food and service with lovely views thrown in. Recommended
good, enjoyed our visit, place emptied quite early changed atmosphere
We had a lovely time at the restaurant even though some of our guests were a little late. The staff were stil very accommodating and we didn’t feel rushed. The food was excellent as always and our guests really enjoyed there food.
Had the Sunday roast. Perhaps it’s just me but I was expecting roast potatoes (note the plural) but got only one? It seemed a bit tight when you consider the roast is expensive at about £12.
Excellent food, birthday lunch, with spectacular views from our table. Plenty of parking space on the day. Looking forward to the next visit!
Overall the restaurant was good with beautiful scenic views. However, the initial welcome was a little on the frosty side. The young waiting staff were all very polite and neatly dressed. The roast dinners were very average but the other dinners ordered were good and the desserts were excellent although the sticky toffee pudding would have benefited from having the option of warm custard/vanilla sauce. The range of vegetarian options on the menu was also really good. Overall a good experience but not one of my top restaurants to rush back to.
Lovely meal, good service and fantastic views. Eaten far too much but worth every mouthful
Staff were very attentive. And kept my bottle I ordered in the fridge area at the kitchen due to the heat and checked on me every now and then to see if I wanted a top up.
Pleasant surroundings and nice food. desserts not worth £6:50. Service ok.
We had our first date at The Edgemoor 30 years ago and it was so lovely to celebrate at the same venue. Although a lot has changed with the new extension and renovation it still sparked memories. It was a lovely evening with efficient attentive friendly staff, delicious food and a lovely atmosphere
Excellent meal. All six members of our party (50th Birthday Celebration) enjoyed a variety of courses. Service was good, staff friendly and efficient. Table by the window with superb views. Thoroughly recommend.
It was our first, but not our last! Beautiful setting with amazing views. The whole experience was outstanding. Thank you
lovely food. Very accommodating. Great views out over the valley
Beautiful food and a glorious view as the sun was setting.
Ordered the vegetarian option and was not disappointed. High standard of home made food. All the other other three diners were equally pleased.
Beautiful views, excellent food and good service. Very helpful staff
Love this restaurant, super food as always and excellent service.
Beautiful setting but the food was very expensive and poor quality, badly presented and not very nice . The service wasn’t great (slow, not asked if we wanted sauces, not asked if we enjoyed our meals etc). Real shame as we were hoping to hold my mums 75 birthday lunch there for all the family.
Lovely food, plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options. Great view across the valley
Our party of 7 was a sisters reunion. It was very relaxed. We weren’t hurried through from arrival to leaving. The choice and quality of food was very good. We were served each course virtually all 7 together. Well done kitchen staff! The service was excellent as were the servers. The views, although the weather wasn’t good, were wonderful. Well done!
Nice pub, beautiful view, good food, nice menu, pleasant staff.
Warm friendly, excellent food & service thank you enjoyed it
A meal with a stunning view. Lots of choices from the menu and the specials of the day. We all enjoyed our food very much.
We met up with cousin and his wife as we do periodically. Two had Ham ,egg and chips , one had steak pie and fourth had vegetarian curry, all of which were excellent in taste , presentation and quantity.
Good food & friendly service. The stunning view is an added bonus
Our first visit for Sunday Lunch. Good food and view.
Perfect gem 😋visited for Sunday lunch, I had tomato soup which was home made and very tasty followed by roast lamb, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, carrots, french beans and peas, all fresh and piping hot. My husband had bacon and cheese garlic bread to start which was gorgeous. Beautiful views and clean contemporary furnishings, staff very friendly and obliging. What more can you ask for. We will definitely go back and highly recommend.
Fine for us eating at 12 but started filling up quickly by 12:30 so can get busy, worth booking.
Delicious food in huge portions. You won’t leave there hungry!
Carnivores, pescatarians and vegetarians were brilliantly catered for with good service and friendly staff. As a vegetarian it was a pleasure to have such a selection to choose from. The roast veg and goats cheese tart was delicious, as was the salted caramel brownie. We had a table booked at The Falcon at Painswick but realised the vegetarian options were identical on all the menus with the cliched offerings of risotto and pasta. Delighted that we decided to change and try the Edgemoor. We will definitely be going back.
No starters, main and room for dessert! Girls night out. With drinks and tip it costs us £24.00 each.
The meal was very good and the service was good for all six of us. Beautiful surroundings with panoramic views across Stroud hills.
Amazing food, amazing menu, belly not big enough :( Amazing service. What more can I say. We go as a treat when ever we can!
Edgemoor Inn had just introduced a new menu with some very tasty options.
Great food..fantastic location especially the view of the valley and hills beyond. We will come again.
