Brilliance on a plate. Service is good but seems to be a slight time lag between ordrimg and serving the food which is inderstsmdable as the food tastes fresh...

Food was excellent. Service good. Portion size big. Atmosphere great! Went there for my birthday with family and really enjoyed every meal that we ordered.

Quality of Food and drink is excellent. Service could improve. Had to wait over an hour from arrival for some tap water. Our waiter was great, but Some of the other waiters weren't very proactive

Great cocktails and food. Service was also polite and efficient. Overall accessibility was a little difficult for my mom with all the stairs, to get in and go to the toilets.

I regularly eat from here but I get home delivery. Food was amazin as usual. Very high quality and presentation. Staff very friendly and efficient. I would recommend this in a heartbeat

The food was delicious, although the mac cheese was sent back because it tasted off. The service is slow and disappointing, but the food makes up for it. Cocktails are great, but boy do they make you wait for them! Deffo worth a visit for authentic Caribbean food but they could improve in the way of customer service

The food was great, only down fall was the mains came out half way through eating the starters and there wasn’t enough room on the table!

The food was really nice and well cooked but the service was shockingly. We waited almost 25 mins to place our order waited another 10mins for our drinks to come then 2 side dishes we ordered never came at all. Despite the 2side dishes not coming we were still charged for them and when we mentioned it to the same young girl that took the order in the first place she didn’t offer any apologies she just took the bill and said she’ll get it removed. We asked for a takeaway container 3 times before it was actually bought to the table.

I came here with work colleagues and must say I was very impressed. Really good food, attentitive service at very reasonable prices. Will be back!

It was ok, portions are really big, some food was cold and the wait was quite long. My chicken was pink so I couldn't eat it. It's been better on previous occasions.

WORST customer service I've ever had to experience. Amazing food but the customer service was disgusting. Food went missing. Had to wait eternity for my good and drink order. Waitresses had bad attitude and almost dropped plates and cutlery on my head. Tables were uneven and wobbly. A terrible place to sit and enjoy a meal.

The staff were friendly and the food was amazing. The only criticism is that the additional side of coleslaw was half the size of the one that came with the dish and we asked for the dessert menu but no one came back for our order so after 20 minutes we paid the bill and left. Decor could be improved so it feels more like a restaurant

One of the tastiest meals I've ever had. The only thing I can really criticise is the portion sizes (on the big side) but The Dutchie let us take our leftovers home so can't really fault them. Will definitely be going back and recommending. 10 out of 10.

Its down steep steps and has low cellings more enjoyable when it isnt so busy. The cocktails are nice. Would visit again when its less busy.

Food is really great but service is very slow, was quite dissapointed having to wait over 25minutes to get served food . when the food came not all was completed i then had to wait another 20 minutes to get additional rice added to my meal.

Heard good reviews so went but it was so noisy and the service wasn't good. I kept having to ask for things and getting up to do this. No attention from serving staff.a restaurant that took orders for deserts and the kitchen says NO DESERTS 😲. No signs or communication about this to customers. I was served the wrong food so by the time my meal came out the others had finished theirs. The food itself tasted good. The menu has enough on it.

Absolutely delicious. I had the oxtail with rice and peas. I also had mac n cheese and slaw on the side. The rice and peas was full of flavour (like mine) and the oxtail was so sweet If my teeth were strong enough I would have nyam the bone too lol. The slaw was proper slaw reminds me of how they do it in Jamaica not full of mayo or salad cream it was lovely. Overall we had an amazing night and will definitely come back. The staff were amazing and the music was fantastic. The only downfall is the table was two small for the amount of people in our party so I was a little uncomfortable. Its ashame the venue wasn't bigger. Hands down the BEST Caribbean restaurant I have ever been too.

Food was great but the service was really bad. Took 20 before someone came to our table to even take a drink order, our starter came out before the drinks and when it did come it was the wrong drinks we then had to 're ask for our drinks. It took 45 before our mains cane out. 2 people seem to be saving one table. The food was great but the service was terrible

A good experience, shown to our booth at the time we booked, excellent food with generous portion sizes; there was a great cocktail menu, lots of variety. Service a little slow. would recommend and visit again.

Food was lovely portions just right and I would definitely return. However on both occasions the waiters let me down. They took long to get drinks and did not come back to ask if we needed anymore. The food took long to come out so sat waiting for 25 minutes with no food or drinks. We ordered sides to go with our meal which came our after we had eaten the main meal, pointless. If they sort the advice out I would increase my rating.

Absolutely delicious food, well presented and hot! huge varietybon food menu and cocktails menu. with 2 for 1 deal you can't really lose. Definately has caribbean service - don't be in a rush 😁

The greeting and the service from the team of waiters and waitresses was excellent! We enjoyed the food enormously; we ordered lobster , which tasted wonderful and when we needed help with getting the best out of our order the staff put on their gloves, pulled up their sleeves and gave us the help we needed and this was done with lots of laughter! One of the owners spent some time talking with us at our table and my friend whose birthday it was ,was brought a free birthday rum punch! Lovely ambience, we had a great time! Loved it!

It was my sister 50th birthday we went to dinner the food was great as usually service ok needs improving, cocktails was ok. We had a great evening

The staff are polite and friendly but the service was so slow we waited 40 minutes for a table then nobody bought us a menu I eventually had to ask for some the food was lovely

Food was great came quickly once we were served which did take a while (but with kids so less patience). Will definitely go again soon.

I have eaten here before and recommended it to many people. The overall experience today was simply, poor! The service was ridiculous. Far from what I had experienced a month before. I waited an hour and a half for my meal in a relatively empty place. My party all had their meals at different times. One person finished their meal whilst another was starting. The only thing that made things up a bit was that the jerk chicken and fried chicken was amazing.

Apart from the seats being plastic and not that comfortable and maybe should be taller to suit the tables. The environment was lovely and more importantly the food was absolutely on point.. excellent

Excellent customer service, our food was served within 15 minutes. The food was fresh and bursting with flavour. I will definately be going back again.

Really tasty food. Thoroughly recommend the goat curry served with roti, slaw and plantain. And who can argue with 2 for 1 cocktails? Friendly staff, funky vibe.

The food and cocktails are really nice. However service is very slow, i booked a table and still had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated. I asked for takeaway containers and waited for about 15 minutes ans the man forgot so had to ask someone else.

The service was amazing. They accommodated my birthday very well although some members of my party weren't the easiest to work with. And they cooked the best oxtail I've ever had in my life

Food was excellent and tasty the party I was with all had something different of the menu. Staff were friendly and assertive to ask if we required drinks refilled as we eat our meals great evening and will definitely visit again when in Croydon.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced and after the starters i was waiting nearly an hour only to be told that they didn't have the food I ordered. Definitely not visiting there again.

This restaurant is a breath of fresh air. Excellent service waiting staff we polite and attentive, but best if all the FOOD WAS AMAZING. Well done and keep it up we will definately be back insha Allah

Such yummy food!!!! A warm service Huge portions and an authentic atmosphere, would definitely go back. I had the jerk pork my first time and was cooked to perfection in my opinion, had that BBQ smoked taste 😊

One of the meals came out cold and we had to ask a number of times to be seated plus they didn't give us a menu - however, despite all this, the food was good and cocktails were impressive. I would return to the Dutchie.

The restaurant lacked ambience, service was slow. Food was okay (not great). You can have cocktails, hot lemon with water but coffee not on the menu.

Beautiful authentic and tasty Caribbean food served hot which meant that it remained hot while you ate. Lovely staff, great friendly service. We even ordered takeaway to bring home for the kids. Forget the imitation Caribbean restaurants. You can't beat this finger licking food. I'll be back!!!

Great authentic food, with big portions, didn't have to wait long for the dishes to come out, cocktails are great especially the Bob Marley cocktail if you like your cocktails strong! Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend and is 100 times better than Turtle Bay up the road.

Good seevice, Clean, food arrived in good time, good portion sizes, amazing food. Wings, festival, rice and peas and the curry goat cooked to perfection

It took a long time to be seated and the food was even slower. Fried chicken and fish fillet were very salty. Not enough napkins on the table and the cutlery was dirty. Plates weren't served with the platter. The table was sticky. Toilets were horrendous and there wasn't any toilet paper, the taps splashed water all over the sides. Rotis/lobster/vibe and ambiance was nice. Service staff were helpful. Loved the 241 cocktails !!!

I had a lovely evening especially as it was a birthday celebration , the service was good with friendly staff friendly environment. Everyone that attended was happy with their delicious meal and drinks. We will all be going back soon for a meal.

The food is excellent but on a saturday night, was very busy, services was good 5/6. Today 30/3/17, the service was 6/6 excellent today and the food was excellent.
