I went for lunch and I had the fish and chips it was great

Welcoming and freindly staff, lovelly food and great service, relaxed atmosphere

I went for Sunday lunch and had the lamb shank and it was cooked perfectly, as an extra I had the cauliflower cheese, this was the first time I’ve had it and it was fantastic, I recommend this restaurant for the food and great atmosphere.

All the food was fantastic and service was excellent. Very nice and polite young lady

I went for Sunday lunch, it was fantastic, the lamb shank was cooked perfectly and the meat just fell off the bone,with roast potatoes, parsnips, pigs in blankets stuffing and Yorkshire pudding and six types of veggies. I recommend this restaurant.

The service and food is lovely, however, there are so many flies in there, sitting by a window where the window frame is a bit rotten and a massive wood lice crawls out! Very off putting, would recommend sitting away from a window!

The meal was lovely and very well presented. The waitress was very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely return

Probably one of the worst Sunday lunch dinners we have ever had, it took over half an hour for even someone came over to take a drinks order, then about another 40 minutes to finally take our food orders, when it finally arrived the food was awful, the beef was as tough as old boot and all the vegetables were undercooked and hard, we had been here in the past and the food was amazing just goes to show how quickly a place can go down hill rapidly with the wrong management and chef! Although I did feel very sorry for the girls who were waitressing as they are not to blame yet we’re continuously complained to buy customers on how bad the food was! Such a shame as this was a family birthday lunchtime dinner for us that we were all looking forward to and was ruined. We will not be returning again in a hurry unless they find better staff! Again such a shame as this place used to be good.

I went for Sunday lunch and the meal was fantastic, I go nearly every Sunday, there is a great atmosphere at the Dove and the staff are so friendly and nothing is to much trouble, they make you feel very welcome and the prices are very reasonable, I only waited for about seven or eight minutes for my meal to arrive.

Five of us went for lunch to celebrate my birthday, the meal was fantastic, we all enjoyed it very much and the staff were very friendly, the restaurant has a great atmosphere and nice and warm.

Poor/slow service, the food wasn’t fresh and still frozen on the plate. Staff seemed friendly but no real cohesion as to who was doing what.

I went for Sunday lunch and had a J2O orange drink with ice and lemon. and then the turkey lunch, it was great With a great tasting Yorkshire pudding. The staff really made me welcome and the meal arrived in less than 10 minutes, I recommend this restaurant.

Great service,the staff made me feel at home, I had the vegetable soup followed by the fish and chips, it all was cooked to perfection, I really enjoyed it and 5 of us are going again on April 2nd for lunch.
