The Crystal Palace Market

Staff were friendly but brusque at the same time. A steak knife for one diner was dropped towards his napkin from a height vs being placed there. A couple of side orders, that we saw the waitress note down, did not arrive and when we asked and one dish arrived instead of two, it was not the exact option we had originally requested. A bottle of water was brought to table, unordered so sent back, which was then added to the final bill. The food is delicious and the atmosphere buzzy. Shame the staff and ordering systems don't seem to work as smoothly as they could to fully complement the overall experience.

Tasty and pleasant dinner, as always, at the Crystal Palace Market!

Our table was ready when we arrived. We were served with a glass of champagne as it was one year wedding anniversary. Our starter was wrong but it was quickly taken away, apologies given and the right dish brough out soon enough. Our mains were cooked perfectly to our requests. Staff very friendly and efficient. Would eat here again.

I was told the soup was Pumpkin soup, I then got served Minestrone soup. The waitresses were talking about a table they didn’t like right in front of us.

My overall experience is great however the restaurant needs a bit of work in ventilation as I came out of the place smelling of grilled meat.

The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great, lots of people but spaced well enough not to encroach. Will definitely go back

The service was really bad even though were loads of waiters and the swordfish that my husband ordered was overcooked. The starters were lovely but overall it wasn't worth the £100 bill which was a shame.

Food was great, and I had a nice meal with family for my birthday however they were very understaffed and the wait time was very long for both drinks and food. We had to get their attention a lot in order to get our drinks and food served which all came out at different times. Pints arrived 10mins before the wine was on the table for the others. Mains came out but some sides were forgotten and arrived halfway through the meal.

It was ok. Nice cocktails, lovely white wine and tasty food. The staff forgot to wish our daughter a happy birthday ☹️

Chosen this restaurant a few times and have always enjoyed it but last night was so average and has put me off. Didn’t feel my food was particularly outstanding and service felt hurried. Fairly sure I should have returned my desert as the crumble topping was not cooked through and too much compared to the fruit beneath. Couldn’t be bothered which is perhaps my loss.

First time eating here, food and service both brilliant, will definitely be back!

Very good experience, very nice staff, they sang “happy birthday “ to my husband very good food.

Under cooked steak despite requesting well done. For a restaurant that charges central London prices... I'd expect central London service and experience.

We had a great family meal, 2 burgers, ribeye steak and the large prawns. We thought the prawns were overpriced for £28 but apart form that the meal was lovely.

We were disappointed. I love Mac and cheese and chicken wings but these dishes were bland. The salmon in the main course was also bland. Note this restaurant is not cheap so they need to improve the quality and taste of food. We ate the food because we were hungry. We have so many restaurants to choose from in Crystal Palace but we chose The Crystal Palace Market PlAce because the decor is nice and we’ve tried most of the local restaurants, but would not recommend or return until we know the food taste has improved.

Great food, helpful staff, good value for money, will definitely go again.

Venue is beautiful. Sadly the service from the waitresses was poor. Luckly the manager stepped in after 45 minutes. Its obvious that they are not trained in this industry and it would be great for the company to spend time doing so. The food was okay. We were expecting better. My scallops for example where overcooked. We will give it another try as we never rule an average experience and hope for a better overall one next time.

Great food. Unfortunately spoilt by over enthusiastic air conditioning. Despite asking twice for it to be turned down, they only got the message when we put our coats back on. And we weren't the only table to do so. Will visit again, but will bring wolly hat and scarf!

The service was friendly and fast. It was a quiet evening, no need to of booked. The starters were bland and expensive for the quality and quantity. The mains were better. Tasty fish, cooked well. A standard meal, nothing special and not worth the price we paid.

Unfortunately they did not cater at all for a dairy intolerance so there was practically nothing I could eat on the menu without taking off half of the plate. Our waitress was understanding but another waiter was very rude in his response and made me feel uncomfortable so we left within 10 minutes of sitting down. It was a very disappointing experience.

I asked if my meal had raw onions in it and I was told no. My meal arrived and there were loads of raw onions. The waiter had no clue and didn't check. I fear for people with allergies in this restaurant. The music was far too loud. It was lunchtime with lots of families with babies and couples. No one was listening to the music and all of us were struggling to talk over it.

Went for a lunch. Food was fantastic and although fairly quiet as a Monday afternoon was a nice vibe and good service.

Very nice atmosphere- I could speak and enjoy my lunch. My order, Salmon, was deliciously cooked. I would recommend it.

Nothing particularly special. The burger (naked burger) was dry and not very tasty. Everything felt generic and bland. Waitress wasn't very friendly.

Only have high praise for The Crystal Palace Market. Food, service, atmosphere all fabulous,
