Amazing quality food with a great friendly service. Me and the mrs love this place. Oysters and fish are delicious as well the steaks and burgers. Thumbs up all round. Only thing i would suggest is to offer more alternitve sides such as sweet potato mash and better salads.

Service, food and general buzz makes it a great place to hang out with friends and family. A must, especially in the evening at weekends. Dress up or go chilled, it just works. The layout is fantastic, simple but makes you feel relaxed . Fish on display so you can pick your own. Do I need to say any more!

Very much enjoyed this restaurant. Food was obviously fresh and cooked just right.Design of restaurant is imaginative spacious and made my birthday lunch special.Parking is stressful in Crystal Palace and perhaps some tips how to do this easily locally should be available.

Excellent atmosphere great food. Strongly recommend it. It was full by 7pm and the service was spot on. Would definitely go again and the wine bar next door looks good as well

Fantastic food and lovely service. My fish was perfect and the accompanying pesto sauce was the most delicious I've ever tasted. Shame about the loud table next to us.

Lovely decor throughout. Great friendly service. Deliciously tasty food beautifully presented. My husband's cocktail was a bit small so it wasn't value for money. They did put a candle in our dessert for my husband's birthday.

We waited to be seated, waited for the lunch menu which is only available at 1pm, waited to be served and waited for the bill. The burgers and side salad were great. The chips were average.

Really bad service. We had the service charge removed . We were told it was because they were short staffed. I said to the waiter that doesn't excuse the bad attitude and lack of smiling and generally bring rude. Will not return.

Attentive friendly staff, great food and a really good wine list ; an overall great evening ( though unfortunately, the dessert menu is not very imaginative! )

There is brilliant service; it's efficient and attentive without being intrusive. And the food is absolute heaven. Fantastically fresh and utterly delicious, with a very good selection. Great bar too.

We came here from from Leigh-On-Sea as it was our 15th wedding anniversary (crystal), and was well worth the drive. Great food, great service and great atmosphere (apart from Michael Mcintyre's stand up routine playing in the toilets)

My party of four were impressed by the quality and quantity of our orders, but our initial helpful welcome and ordering were not sustained with a variety of somewhat inattentive table staff and a music system that thought that it was auditioning for TGI Friday

well prepared food and helpful staff, a nice relaxed evening out. Surprisingly busy for a midweek evening, but a cocktail at the bar covered the short wait for our reservation to be ready.

Good service and great food. The food was very well presented. The largest portion of burger and chips I have eaten. The salad was perfect and there was enough of it to feel like I have got one of my five a day.

It was welcoming, the food was good, genuine service and a good atmosphere. Maybe the flatten whole grain dried bread was not the best accompaniment for the charcuterie platter but other than that it was great

The ingredients are fresh and full of flavour and if you manage to sit in the right place you can watch the chefs preparing your meal! The service was kind and attentive and we were made to feel welcomed by the staff.

Reservation was taken and they accomodated us changing the time very well. Lobster was cooked well, as was the steak. They really need someone to shoe them how to do a side salad. Vinegar drenched limp salad leaves and about two halved cherry tomatoes doesn't really cut it. We will probably go again as it is convenient, but I'd rather fly to Nova Scotia for the lobster and you will most likely next see us in Billingsgate and Smithfield buying our own!

Very good service. Slightly disappointed at how close the tables were. We had an early sitting 7pm, so the restaurant wasn't busy, but the next 2 people to arrive were sat on the very next table to us, which was too close. A bit pricey, but would return. We enjoyed our evening.

Myself and some friends recently visited 'The Crystal Palace Market' for a birthday celebration. I have been twice so far, and on both occasions the food and service was fantastic. I'm yet to try the breakfast, but will very soon!

Unfortunately, the restaurant has stopped some of their delicious brunch offerings, including lamb sausage and halloumi. Really disappointing and we ended up going to a different place to eat instead. Will not be going back.

Food and service was great at Crystal Palace Market...the only negative was my partners steak, there wasn't enough of it to share! You definintly need to book for dinner and has a busy vibe.

The staff always feel disconnected in there, lovely on their own but they don't seem to work together. My sausage and black pudding looked undercooked, I had the same breakfast last week but it wasn't as nice this time. I will go back because I still think it's the best place in crystal palace for a breakfast.

Visited for brunch and really enjoyed it. Staff nice and polite and the food good, as always at CPM. No problems when we asked for things not on the menu. The scrambled eggs and sausage burger were especially good. Plenty of food and food vfm

Great fish, beautifully cooked. And an interesting cocktail menu too. Staff were attentive and friendly. Only slight downside for us was the tables being quite close together, and being sat next to a table with several small children- not quite what we wanted on our romantic night out.

Sadly my bearnaise sause was cold and it appeared that my wife's bugger had some hard substance like glass I it. The salad was over seasoned and the malt vinager turned out to be red wine, not impressed

The restaurant's website is exactly my philosophy on food: get it good quality, as local as possible and present it as freshly as you can with a bit of a twist. I booked a table online and asked for a quiet table as it was my wife's birthday and we wanted to be able to chat. The good stuff: the fresh fish is all on display so you can chose exactly what you want to. This is great if you are out with children so that they can get involved. I liked the open plan restaurant and kitchen so it has an informal feel. It is not smart decor, more urban contemporary with rough edges. I chose Hampshire trout which was lovely. My wife had seared tuna which was also very good. The salsa verde was very good and freshly made. When I asked for the bill, they clearly noticed it was my wife's birthday and brought a complimentary glass of fizz: that's kind. Less good were the following things. We had a table right in the middle of the restaurant so got knocked by passing people and waiters. They seem to have crammed quite a few tables in. Fine for Wagamama, but less so for good dining. The decor does not dampen sound so the hoped-for conversation was not as easy as we had hoped. £5 for a portion of fries seems pretty steep by anyone's standard. My salmon ceviche had plenty of raw onion in it which is far too strong a flavour to go with delicate salmon. The waiter was about 17-18 years old and had too many tables to deal with so service was pretty poor. All the more annoying then to find a 12.5% 'optional' service charge was listed (which I would not have paid) but when the card machine was presented it had the service charge included. I did not want to quibble the bill in front of my wife as it was a birthday treat, but this is pretty poor. In summary, they do some things well but fall short on others. The bill for two cocktails, starters and mains with two glasses of wine, came to over £100 which I would say is too much for the overall quality of service and food. Good, but no cigar.
