Our visit was excellent the food was tasty and of a high standard.

It was the first time at this restaurant and it won't be the last, great meal and great beer, what more can you ask for

Great twist on a regular pub, but far too busy on a Saturday night. I had previously been here during the day which was a more positive experience. Booked a table but had to go looking for serving staff to claim our reservation. Whole experience felt very rushed if you stop chewing for a moment your plate will be cleared. The same person who cleared our plates came back 2 minutes later asking if we were waiting for our mains, which seemed like a hint for us to leave. Dips and chutneys served with popadoms were just different coloured hot sauces, very unpleasant. Our mains didn’t taste bad but didn’t taste great either. I would recommend coming here during a less busy time to get better service and food as the first time I came to this venue I told several people it is worth the visit as everything was amazing.

The best Indian of my life, so much that I keep coming back even though I live an hour drive away. Service was slow and everything showed up in the wrong order last time I went but the food is THAT good that I don't care, so worth it.

Absolutely amazing food. Nice staff and we always go here. It’s perfect for parties and baby showers etc. There’s always mixed people here and good for families.

Was ok, very loud environment. Super slow service at the bar and food waiting times . Food is great and decent price apart from poppadoms...£2 for two and sauces you can't use all of with only two. Was nice to visit but won't be back

great food and service. I would recommend eating here as this is approx the 5th time I have been and the quality is very consistant and is the service.

I mean it just ok.... you have to order at the bar.. your told they’ll need the table back in 1:45.. no table service.. foods ok and priced reasonably but it’s not really a place I’d go out if my way for.... to be honest.. wouldn’t return. Just not my type of place.

Food is absolutely amazing. The staff are attentive and super polite! Defo recommend. The mixed grills are on point and the food amazingly fresh! Portion sizes are very good.

A family meal for 6 was excellent from our arrival to our meals.liked being able to pay for our meal when ordering.Everyone enjoyed the experience and we would certainly recommend the venue.

Excellent food and service. First visit but certainly won’t be the last! Place was packed on a Monday evening and that’s a pretty good indication of how good it is.

Good food generally and reasonably priced. Very busy and very understaffed for the volume of customers. Easy parking and got a table for 9 by booking on the day

Had booked a table , barman didn't know how to pull a pint , sat down and waited for order to be taken, was sat there for 20 minutes before someone eventually said you had to order and pay up front at the bar, when the food arrived after an age its was inedible, swimming in oil, no refund offered , just given a couple of drinks that was less than the cost of the meal, then hurried out of the place as they wanted the table. Wont be going back again

Lovely as ever, most enjoyable, generous portions, wide variety of food to accommodate all taste buds....delicious! Pleasant staff. Would definatly recommend. Most enjoyable....delicious! 10 out of 10 😊

Absolutely loved it the mixed grill is to die for. Peroni on tap and a great atmosphere between people who want a meal and drink and people who just want to have a drink the perfect blend. I will be back for more

Food was very good. only problem had to wait for about 45 minutes for food to arrive. After ordering. But it was really busy. So expected. Staff we’re really friendly and helpful. Even though they were busy.

Friendly staff, wheelchair accessibilty excellent. Once in the restaurant my girlfriend's wheelchair was easily parked under a table. Food was excellent. The Covered Wagon is Recommended to all.

Bad service rude staff never asked how meal was. Bad seating all squashed together. Weired atmosphere ok food. Mix grill ok had Madras was like tastless Masala no heat. Wouldnt bother again x

We had a lovely night all 10 of us and we all enjoyed the meal the staff were very friendly and helpful even though they were busy .

Dirty plates, curry was nice but not what you’d usually expect, waiters were not the best, but overall a decent enough experience, would recommend ok

Too many diners and not enough room. 4 of us sat at a table only big enough for 2. I struggled to get out of my seat as I couldn’t move it back as another diner was squashed in behind me.

Delicious food but long wait for drink service at the bar ... not eneough staff. Very noisy due to people who shout and talk very loudly. Waiters very good and friendly.

all the staff were lovely , the food was amazing and great portions . Only downside was food was just warm. Definitely worth a visit and can’t wait to go back and try rest of menu

Food was good however the Seating arrangement was a bit too congested. Too many waiters but hardly anyone comes to your table to check if everything is ok. Sauces for the starters were only provided after being asked, would expect a better service for the price of the food.

Lovely food but service was slow as they were very busy, Saturday night probably not the best night to go. Will try it again on a week night

Food was outstanding. But for the second time, we were freezing. There is NO heating and apparently, no plans to install any. The building is VERY draughty.

Excellent pub ambience & great food. Dont forget to try the Soya tikka. Its is the best vegetarian dish I have had. Mixed platter grill is also worth a try

Food was superb. There was a broad spectrum of both age and backgrounds of staff and customers; which is bar far the best mix you want in a pub. Considering how busy it was (very), the service was good. We were recommended to visit the place and We shall certainly recommend it to others. I personally will be using The Covered Wagon again.

The mixed grills, curries and naan breads all good. Service is always of good standard and the Amstel hit the spot. Definitely recommend A visit.

When we arrived the pub was heaving and it took a while to find the waiter to give our name to. When we finally did we were shown to our table. We chose our food fairly quickly but as it was so busy it took 20 mins at the bar queuing to order our food. It then took 75mins to arrive. The food is very good and excellent value for money but the service was terrible. They had taken on too many orders and to get our food after 10pm was far too late. Its certainly put me off revisiting.

Wonderful staff. Go above and beyond . Food beautiful and very good portions. We booked a table for 7. Table was ready on time even though it was extremely busy.scored 4 and not 5 due to the location of our table being close to the bar . People standing very close to us. Many looking and waiting for a table . Would definitely recommend and return again . Would ask to seat further back in the pub , away from the bar .

Great food and service, portions are generous can never eat it all, containers are provided to take leftovers home. We were celebrating a special birthday, cake I provided was brought out when asked with plates/napkins and knife to cut cake with. Would recommend a visit here.

Staff are always polite and extremely helpful and for the food, well it just completely surpasses itself, so good, I’m taking more friends there next week!

Food was fanatastic. Our starters and mains came out all together. Apparently they do this on weekends when its busy. It wasn’t really a problem just a bit overwhelmed with so much food! Portions are generous. Was very busy but didnt wait long.

We had an enjoyable evening for my 50th birthday, the waitress serving us was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious and the servings were big - really good value for money. Unfortunately there were two televisions above tables in the dining area which were annoying. Also, one of the waiters tried to pass one peshwari naan off as two, but the waitress got it sorted! I would definately take friends here again. :)

The food is excellent. Worth every penny. This is the 2nd time I have been and really enjoyed both times. 10 out of 10 for me and my friends.
